I'm in California and needed to find somewhere near Endicott to send a condolence basket to family…read moreI have there. After a little searching I came across Bumble Bee Baskets and thought their website looked nice so I tried to call them. The line didn't ring and immediately disconnected, and did the same thing a couple more times. I clicked on the contact option on their website, jotted off a note letting them know their phone didn't work and asking that they contact me and then waited. And waited. After giving it more than 24 hours, I tried the number again and got through. The phone was answered by a woman who sounded as though I interrupted her nap. When I explained that the line might have been down yesterday so I sent an email through their site I was told that they "don't check the email". I guess they don't really need the business then. It's a shame because I usually send gifts 4-5 times a year through florists and other businesses near that town and was looking for something a bit different. Back to the florist I suppose. One star for a cute website but that's about it.

We'd be broke. We have bought furniture, outdoor signs, many lamps, a number of old appliance or kitchen-type items, and never go that we don't find a number of things we like. The perfect blend of antique and rustic. Sadly, they are only open on Friday and Saturday and by coincidence, tend to be closed on the weekends we can get there (like this one). Gives us something to look forward to. The only con is the location. Off the beaten path and if you didn't know it was there, you'd have little reason to travel that road.

The colorful exterior should be enough to draw you into this establishment but if pink and green turns you off like 1999, you'll have to give it a pass and go inside anyway. Inside, they have an exquisite selection of dishes available for purchase but look highly breakable so those with children should proceed carefully. If you go left you'll get to see what Tom's is most famous for, the coffee! You can select the coffee yourself through the plastic canisters or select a bag at the top if you can't find your flavor or are in a hurry. Some unique coffee flavors that they carry here are coffee cake and snicker doodle! I have yet to find those flavors anywhere else! Besides coffee, you are able to buy a variety of sauces from some of the local restaurants in the area. Not sure what they taste like? No worries! You are able to sample the sauces free of charge to determine which one suits your fancy. They also have a good variety of fudge, candy, and salsa available as well as a whole other section of the store dedicated to random household decorative items, "gifts" is what it probably should be called. In short, Toms is an excellent little shop in Binghamton that is a great source for any local or visitor to pick up some great coffee...or if you want some free sauce sampling.
