I am fortunate enough to be able to bring my pup (Mochi) to work, but wanted to get him some basic training before coming to the office.

It was already so stressful rearranging my life around his needs and training but also managing work and trying to keep up with my own. It felt so stressful to try to walk him because he wouldn't listen to me and pull to meet other people/dog's. I would walk him for 2 hours and he still wouldn't be tired when we got home. As a rescue, he naturally has so much separation anxiety. So we've been tethered together and this wasn't sustainable or healthy for both of us. I think many dog parents would understand the guilt, frustration, embarrassment of not knowing fully how to work through these hard moments. I found Racquel through yelp after a lot of research. I could've signed up for training that was weeks and weeks long but I needed help...ASAP. It sounds crazy to say that in a few hours she can rewire both you and your dog..but we are proof that it's possible! I also love that her holistic approach is backed by really practical, tangible tools. I learned about practical tools, psychology of dogs as well as how I'm contributing to his reactions and behaviors. I walked way from our session and the next day was already implementing the skills/knowledge I was given. I can't thank you enough Racquel, for helping us and continuing to support us and strengthening our bond.

We already had another dog, Sylvester, who was rescued 5 years ago, was a bit older, and the not the friendliest with other dogs. Maybe not the best two to pair in a home. Sylvester had already gone through some training, but was due for a refresher. Cinderella was wet clay ready for molding. After doing some research online, we reached out to Raquel, and after one phone call, we knew she was the best person to collaborate with. Raquel brought up a very key point early on in that Cinderella will follow the lead of the head dog already established, so we wanted to make sure she was learning good habits early on in her life. Over the next few months, Raquel has spent time with us in our home and the park as we've been learning how to better communicate with our dogs, and with each other with it comes to training them. So much of it is Raquel training us as the owners in as much as it is training the dogs themselves. Raquel is always a text away and within reach, has incredible insight into the minds of dogs, and so very kind and gentle with all of us. It can be very frustrating to re-learn habits from walking our dogs to feeding them to communicating with them when they're doing something naughty. Raquel is a great teacher who is able to simplify the process, and we're very happy with the results we've seen so far with our dogs. Whether it's Cinderella growling at everyone the moment she starts eating, or Sylvester going into attack mode when he sees another dog across the street, Raquel has been there every step of the way giving guidance and suggestions, and we've seen the progress. My partner and I highly recommend Raquel to anyone looking to become a better parent to their dogs. Because it starts with you.

From the very beginning, they took the time to understand my dog's personality and needs, and created a training approach that actually works for him--not just a one-size-fits-all method. I've already seen such a huge difference in his behavior, confidence, and overall happiness. What I appreciate most is how they've also helped me become a better, more confident handler. They explain everything in a way that's easy to understand and always make sure we feel set up for success. If you're looking for someone who truly cares about your dog and goes above and beyond, I highly recommend them. I'm so long overdue in writing this review for our beloved Happy Heart Pet Care! I don't even know…read morewhere to begin in describing how much I credit Anna Marie and Matt for supporting and caring for my girl Moxie (and honestly, me too). I adopted Moxie at about 6 months old after she was found wandering the streets, and she came to me with a lot of anxiety, reactivity, and gaps in early socialization. We needed real support, structure, and patience. On top of that, I work 12-hour hospital shifts, so finding a place I could trust--somewhere that would care for her with the level of love, safety, and consistency I wanted--felt impossible. Then we found Anna. Anna is extraordinarily knowledgeable about dogs with trauma histories, reactivity, and anxiety. She balances structure and boundaries with genuine warmth so Moxie feels safe and gets to live her best dog life. She helped me understand my own dog better, taught Moxie how to regulate and interact in healthier ways, and created a routine that transformed our day-to-day. Matt is equally wonderful--gentle, attentive, and always in tune with what each dog needs. She is also incredibly flexible with drop-offs and pick-ups, which is absolutely essential when you live and work in Los Angeles. Her reliability and understanding have made it possible for me to manage long hospital shifts without worrying for even a second. Moxie has a forever Auntie in Anna Marie, and Anna will always have my deepest gratitude and love. If you're looking for someone who will love your pup, keep them safe, understand their quirks, and support you as an owner--Happy Heart Pet Care is truly the best there is.

Wolly is a 12 lb, 10 year old Maltipoo who is very social but definitely set in his ways, so we do not say this lightly: we truly cannot say enough good things about the care he received here. From a logistics standpoint, the entire experience was incredibly easy. The flexibility of drop off before noon without needing daily sign ups was a huge win for us while traveling and juggling plans. Pick up as late as 7 PM was equally helpful, and the pricing felt very reasonable for the level of service. What really stood out was the thoughtfulness around safety and care. The facility is secure and gated at drop off, and we watched staff carefully manage dog flow right at the entrance. At one point, a team member even positioned themselves between our children and a larger dog out of an abundance of caution. That level of awareness told us everything we needed to know. We also appreciated the small but meaningful details. There is a live camera so we could check in whenever we missed him. They feed dogs separately and sanitize the area afterward, which gave us real peace of mind. But the true highlight was the caregivers. The way they greeted Wolly each day, how gently they handled him, and how clearly they knew the dogs in their care made this place special. Every afternoon we received the most adorable photo of him, and by midweek he was literally running inside, tail wagging, completely comfortable and happy. As dog parents, there is no better feeling than knowing your pup loves where he is and is being looked after by professionals who genuinely care. Wag Hotels Hollywood made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Wolly. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in LA.

They even emailed me photos of her living her best life and sent home a report card at the end of the day. This is officially my go-to spot anytime I'm in the office. She gets out of the house, gets great stimulation, and I get peace of mind knowing she's happy--away from backyard boredom and the lovable chaos of my kids. Win-win.

Plus, I was pleasantly surprised to find that some of the staff from the old store are now at this location, in particular the fabulous Taylor who is an absolute gem - great people skills, professional and very kind. Apart from food supplies, I like the fact that Urban Pet stocks a huge selection of high-quality accessories - toys, collars, scratchers, etc - that are not common anywhere else. This is a wonderful store, in business for eighteen years (meaning, they know what they're doing) with free off-street parking adjacent (right-hand side), and a wonderful loyalty scheme. Highly recommended.

Anyways, compared to the old action which had loads of parking. This has a small lot right next to the building but there's only a few spots. There's metered parking out front as well as street parking in the neighborhood. I feel like the stores are similar size but could be wrong. They still pretty much have everything you would need for your fur babies and more. So many choices in good with loads of brands. Not only food, loads of treats and accessories. Clothes, leashes, collar, strollers and so on. Whatever you need for the little ones, they'll have. Service is alway great. The staff are all pretty friendly and very helpful. If there's anything you need, they're available to help. Isles are a little narrow but besides that, the place is nice. They also have somewhat of a club card with your phone number. It does offer a little discount which is alway good. Free with your phone number. It's a nice neighborhood pet store that carries pretty much everything and anything.

He was anxious, distressed, and would run straight back to us the moment we picked him up. We truly believed he wasn't a "daycare dog." Dog e Den Hollywood changed everything. From the very first visit, Bailey walked in excited and confident. Now, four years later, he still gets thrilled the moment we pull into the parking lot. Watching him run toward the staff instead of back to us is something we never thought we'd see. It still makes us emotional. One of our favorite parts is the daily report card they send. Every day we get a thoughtful update with multiple pictures, letting us know how Bailey is doing, who he played with, and what kind of day he had. Those photos mean so much to us and show that they're paying attention to every dog individually. The dog cam adds even more peace of mind. Being able to peek in during business hours and see Bailey playing or getting cuddles is something we rely on and appreciate deeply. But the true magic of Dog e Den is the staff. They don't just supervise dogs. They love them. They give hugs, kisses, attention, and genuine affection all day long. Every single person here is warm, kind, and invested in the dogs' happiness. You can see immediately that they truly love what they do. The facility is always exceptionally clean, and you can actually see the staff cleaning throughout the day. Their attention to hygiene and safety gives us complete trust. Bailey absolutely adores Dog e Den, and so do we. After four years, this place has become an extended family to us and a second home to our little guy. If you want a daycare where your dog will be loved, safe, happy, and truly cared for, Dog e Den Hollywood is in a class of its own.
