Everytime we have gone there, we have had to wait a very ling time. We have given them alot of business, yet when we ran into "Tony" at a local establishment yesterday, and said hello, he behaved like a wore out celebrity who done with the paparazzi. Very friendly, but the end result was less than desired. I came in with a picture, and my nails did not look much like what I was wanting. I got pink and whites, but he literally did not do anything of the 3 things I asked - small white area, not too pink, flat white as opposed to rounded. I thought having a picture would help. In case anyone is going to go to Sedona... I am appalled at the service at Silky Nails in Sedona. I'm waiting for a phone call back from the owner as to how this is going to be fixed. My friend and I both got pedicures and nails done. I was very happy with my pedicure, the woman there did a phenomenal job but my friend said Tom, the man who did hers nothing with her cuticles and barely spent any time on her. I'm not 100% happy with my nails, they are a little thin for gel nails but my lady spent a lot of time on my hands so I didn't care too much. I will have to get them redone sooner than normal though which is unfortunate. My friends acrylic nails though are terrible. As you can see, her nails are already lifting after 4 days time. When she went to have them fixed they didn't believe that damage was there and argued with her until she was on the verge of tears. How can you treat someone like that? Silky Nails will not have ANY business from myself or anyone I know again. read more

Prices are typical 14 dollars for a mani and 25 dollars for a spa pedicure. The people are nice, but it's not a "spa" experience. They do an excellent job at mani/pedi's and adding a design. There work is very meticulous and artful. I will definitely go back. read more

I took my mother here while we were in Sedona celebrating her 70th birthday. It was honestly the worst manicure pedicure either of us have ever had. My pedicure literally lasted fewer than 10 minutes. The male technician who did my pedicure was hacking away after just finishing his cigarette break on top of the speedy work. The acrylic nails the next technician did where the worst I have ever had. They were unevenly put on, I had to ask him three different times to make them rounded instead of squared, and he put on tips that are smaller than my nails. We could not believe it when we walked out of there and had to pay $104. I strongly caution anyone against going here. read more

NEW OWNERS!! I tried this salon with the past owners and it did not go well. The new owners have cleaned the shop thoroughly, painted and added new products and are now giving terrific manicures and pedicures! I got a beautiful dip manicure for $40 and it has lasted very well. I hope they get many new customers and do a wonderful business there so they stay. However, my feet were so rough after my pedi, that I had to go to Walgreens in uptown to get a pedi kit and work on my feet myself! Absolutely the worst pedicure I have ever had. I didn't even really need one but wanted to relax and enjoy the massage part. There was no massage only a lot of lotion applied and left on me. It took a total of 12 minutes and I had to ask for the polish to be removed due to the amount she got on my cuticles. On top of the whole aggravating session my toe nails are too short and she left them jaggedly. I highly suggest looking else where. read more

Walked in at 10 in the morning for a pedicure and was seated immediately. Friendly and polite staff. My technician did a very nice job which lasted about 40 minutes including a 5-minute drying time between polish and topcoat. Had fun chatting with two other customers, one a longtime resident of Sedona, the other a frequent visitor. Very good value and I would definitely return! read more

We were a couple minutes late but they still were able to do our nails. The guy who was doing my nails kept whispering stuff as he was doing my nails.Also they had very old nail polish .it looked like they had not changed it for at least 8years. I just moved to Sedona and my biggest fear was finding a new nail person. I saw Silky Nail and went in, asked if they did gel fills. The man said yes, so I scheduled an appointment. They do not do gel fills, they do a gel overcoat. Being that they did acrylic over gel, my nails chipped the next day. I was also charged more because the older man said he had to do more work?! I have been going to this salon for two years for gel polish and acrylics, I have also had pedicures here. The prices are reasonable and they always do a great job; I see Thai for my nails and he has been doing nails for over 20 years. The salon is clean, the owner and her son both work there, as well as a few other employees. I read some of these complaining reviews, all I can say about this is.... if you are in any salon and the polish is not the way you want it, tell them what you do want right then. Anytime I wanted a change to a specific style, thickness, etc. alI ever had to do was explain it. My nails are always done the way I like them! read more

I've just moved to Sedona and needing to find someone to do my french acrylics. i went here. didn't not care for the job done, even though the man spent some time on my nails. When I went back to my old tech (while on a trip) she looked at my nails and said he did a terrible job, I agreed. Myold tech told me to find someone else. No ambiance looks like a cheap shop. Went today for fist time, and will definitely go back. Got a Mani/Pedi from Tom. He was relaxed, thorough,, very competent, easy to talk with, and had a good sense humor.. My toenails are shining with color and sparkle. My fingernails were a mess, and he cleaned them up beautifully and applied the clear polish I asked for. The place is clean, and any item that is not disposable is disinfected. Everyone ws friendly - staff and other clients. Highly recommend - will go back. read more

Terrible place to do your nails- never go there. I am on vacation in Sedona, az and went to Empire nails to do pedicure and manicure. Vietnamese employee almost does not speak English and can not explain about what they doing. When I ask her to scrabble bottomed of my feet, she told me that I did not want to pay her for this extra $ 5 dollars , become a mad and shouting something in Vietnamese .I was ready to pay as much as it cost but I want to get good pedicure.another employee was involved in this scene the same way, but owner ( American) acting as it is not his business. As a result they did not do good my Neil's and dry skin on feet stay the same bad. Place very dirty, nEil polish old,. Despite combo pedicure-manicure cost $ 40, they charge me $45 and when I ask them why they told that they want it. I told owner it is outrages to keep such kind of employees- impudent and lowest skills. He did not say a word. I am very not recomend to go there. read more
