It's almost impossible to find a local appliance repair person, let alone one you can totally trust! We've known Jason for a few years now. Jason is knowledgeable, accommodating, trust worthy, respectful, helpful, efficient, timely and his fees are MORE than fair! We never worry about him taking advantage of us or anyone we recommend him to. He ALWAYS returns calls. He does not EVER blow off a customer. If he isn't sure about something, he calls the resources he works with. I've heard him speak to people at GE re our dryer. He's always very patient and respectful. Jason is very easy to work with and really a delight to be around. He doesn't dilly dally. He gets in, does the work and he's onto his next job. He doesn't take shortcuts or do things cheap. If you live alone, are a senior aged person or a young adult, you do not EVER have to worry about welcoming Jason into your home. You can trust him, believe what he is saying, believe that his work is quality and first class and lastly that he's not going to price gouge you. I can't say enough positive things about Jason K. we've had to use Ellis Appliance several times over the past…read more5 years. Three times were when our LG refrigerator's compressor failed. First time was during the pandemic, and they were the only ones who would come to look at our fridge. They were able to get us a part- even though it took a while due to the supply chain problems caused by the pandemic. Two years later the compressor failed again- not Ellis' fault. It's all on LG. The 3rd time, we called Ellis again and they came right out. But 3 strikes and LG was gone! Then a week ago our dryer - an almost 30 year old Maytag- started acting up. Ellis came right out, diagnosed the problem, got the parts and fixed the dryer. He came when he said he would, and kept us in the loop in terms of getting parts in. We would recommend Ellis repair service to everyone.

Scammer! He took our money and didn't fix my dryer. The error code was HE so it was obvious it…read morewas the heating element. He didn't put a new heating element in there. When we called them back over 10 times he would say he would be there later today and never show up. Over a month we waited for him to come back because we had already paid him to fix our dryer. He did have time to go cash our payment check right away. Never again will we use Dave Ellis. Zero morals. Dubuque Appliance came out and said "I don't know how the could have missed what was wrong." Never trust Ellis Appliance. 0 rating!!!

Apparently the previous workman from Sears fixed only part of the problem. Scooter gave is a feeling of confidence that thos would resolve the issue.
