It's one of those appetizers that's easy to judge a kitchen by, and this one was done exactly right. Great flavor, great texture, and clearly made with care. The ambiance is fantastic. Silk has that upscale-but-comfortable feel where you can relax but still feel like you're somewhere special. The lighting, décor, and overall vibe make it a great spot whether you're grabbing drinks with friends or settling in for a full evening out. Service was top notch from start to finish. Attentive without hovering, friendly, and knowledgeable--exactly what you hope for when trying a new place. The drink program really stands out. The cocktails were interesting and expertly prepared, and you can tell the bartenders know what they're doing. I ended up walking to the back of the room to find all of the employees chatting away with one another before someone realized I was looking for service. Besides that mishaps, we were surprised how good the food actually tasted as our impression on hotel restaurant food is not that great. We ordered their Iconic Chicken Sandwich ($17) and their Classic Iconic Burger ($16), which both came with fries.
