I have been as part of both a large group and as a meal for two, each time the service has been second to none. The waitresses are friendly, helpful and attentive, and if you tell them it is your birthday they will put up a birthday banner, treat you to a free dessert and give you an incense holder to take home. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is relaxed and family friendly. As an alternative to eating in the restaurant, there is also a downstairs bar you can sit in for a more informal meal. I cannot recommend Sucheera enough and was overjoyed to discover that they also offer a takeaway service; my partner was even more impressed that whilst waiting at the bar to collect the takeaway, he received not only complimentary prawn crackers but several bits and pieces from the starters menu to sample also. Due to its excellent service and delicious food it is always busy, so I would recommend booking in advance on the weekends or for larger parties.

Choose from the usual Tom Yum soups, Pad Thai noodle dishes and multi-coloured curries... And if you're looking for something more original then why not try one of the more unique dishes like the fabulous Goan Fish Curry, which is divine with coconut rice and a portion of aubergine cooked in basil and chill sauce. When we arrived and reviewed the menu, we asked the waitress to explain a few items on the menu (one that clearly contained soy sauce and another that was deep fried.) While the waitress was in the back (a second time). He king with the cook to see if there was a dedicated fryer or an effort to prepare and pan fry gluten-free items separately, we asked the manager. She stated that there was no separate fryer.... just as our server came out from the kitchen and contradicted her. Ummmmm, no. We explained that this is an allergy and that because they misrepresented at least 2 items on the menu, we did not have confidence in their representation of gluten-free. We got up and left.

Three ladies in the front that were standing there when I walked in all rolled their eyes at me and I felt so disrespected and unwelcome by their body language that I left. The restaurant down stairs was very busy but upstairs was very quiet. We were told because they were busy that we had to vacate our table at 8.30, we arrived at 7pm. I had the Tom Yum soup, it wasn't one of the best I have ever had, and it was also quite expensive. My partner had the Thai fish cakes which were delicious. My main course was Thai red vegetable curry, the rice was hard where it had been in the microwave for too long and the curry was very average. My partner had a fish dish that was beautifully cooked and his noodles were gorgeous. Our wine was served warm, not nice for a good bottle of Sauvignon blanc. Overall it was ok but we definitely wouldn't go back, I was slightly disappointed.
