Throughout my complicated, multi-year cases, they have shown themselves to be not only knowledgeable about all the relevant legal issues, but also able to adapt to the specifics of my situation. They are highly responsive, exceptionally conscientious, and deeply considerate. If you're reading this review, you're probably in a personal situation where you wish you didn't have to be. I know that's where I was. And it's Steven and Katarina who got me out of it. I do a lot of things myself, but I never could have done this without them, and I'm very grateful.

She drafted a prenup for my partner and I that we both felt really good about and helped us go through the process without losing our minds. :) She's friendly and curious and thoughtful to boot - it's nice to work with someone who's both very professionally competent and also kind.

Carolyn is a wonderful attorney and a supportive, understanding human being. I am truly grateful…read morethat I had the opportunity to work with her. I spoke with several attorneys before making my decision, and from our very first phone call I could tell she was different. She did not rush the conversation or treat it like just another case, she listened carefully, understood the details of my situation, and provided thoughtful, practical advice right away. That first call lasted more than half an hour, and after it, I knew I wanted her to represent me. My divorce case was long and challenging, and Carolyn was exceptional throughout the entire process. She handled many responsibilities beyond what was expected and always remained solution-focused. At times, the mediator and the opposing attorney were difficult to work with, and there were even moments when it felt like she was doing more than her share just to keep the process moving forward. She was always accessible, I could reach her quickly whenever needed, we spent hours discussing important details, and she consistently responded to my emails in minutes. I was going through an extremely difficult time financially and emotionally, and Carolyn was incredibly supportive. Even during periods when I struggled to make payments, she continued to work hard and never pressured me. In fact, there were times when she first asked whether I was financially okay before even mentioning her fees. That says a lot about her character, she is not money-centered; she genuinely cares about her clients as people. There were moments when I shared my sadness and emotional struggles, and she was supportive like a friend and, at times, almost like a therapist. She guided me with honesty and professionalism, sometimes telling me things that were difficult to hear, but that honesty is exactly what makes her such an exceptional attorney. She does not sugarcoat reality; she is direct, logical, and always focused on achieving the best possible outcome. In the end, we were able to reach an agreement, and my divorce is now finalized. I truly owe this result in large part to Carolyn's dedication, intelligence, and steady guidance. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs not only a highly skilled and successful attorney, but also a genuinely kind and compassionate human being.

I've been interviewing a few law firms for the following: business entity creation and estate…read moreplanning. I contacted Gretchyn Meinken at this firm and I was incredibly impressed w/the following: -Very responsive: she responded to my email right away and did so personally (she didn't pass over my request to a legal assistant like the two others I contacted). There's nothing wrong w/hiring a legal asst but this was a signal that she would likely be very involved w/the case personally. -Deep understanding of the law/solid advice: She was able to pick up very quickly on what I needed, spoke about various scenarios, provided details on the best plan to move forward with. -Great communicator and trustworthy: You know when you get this feeling you can just trust someone? I felt that way about her. We've worked w/many attorneys in our lives in a different capacity - and I've liked the majority of them (or else I wouldn't have hired them) and like the best, she has a direct, open but approachable way of communicating. She also seems very calm (always a good characteristic for an attorney to cool things down if things get heated) and empathetic. -Complimentary initial consultation: I really like the fact that this firm offers a complimentary consultation. You're trying to make a decision about the best fit before spending thousands of dollars and it's a wonderful opportunity to validate their competency and ensure you think you'll be able to have a good working relationship from the outset. I felt she really took the time to listen to me carefully - I NEVER felt rushed. Another firm (the asst called me back to get more details of my case) said there would be a fee - $400/hr - and then when they realized that I may be steering a bit of business their way - they offered me 15 minutes for free. I didn't even ask for them to comp the fee - but I felt rushed before I even began working w/them so passed on that firm right away. I wouldn't normally write a review for an attorney but lately I've been kind of flying blind and trying to identify respectable companies that I have never been exposed to in the past - commercial insurance, bus vendors, property mgmt companies, architectural firms, engineers, permit expediters, etc - and the few reviews I've found have been enormously helpful - so this is my small attempt to share what knowledge I've been able to obtain. So if you're looking for an attorney, Gretchyn Meinken might be the cream of the crop and the firm she's a partner of, seems to offer a broad portfolio of legal svcs.

Not only did she mispresent and mistreat me as a client, but she also did a disservice to my child with respect to the custody arrangements. Heather rarely, if ever, responded to any of my requests, communication would go missing for months on end and I inevitably felt completely abandoned by the one person who was not only being PAID to be on my side, but was supposed to actually BE there to represent me.
