He is by far the most passionate lawyer I've ever encountered -- zealous, aggressive when needed, and fully dedicated to giving us the strongest defense possible. From start to finish, it was clear that he cared deeply about his craft, his profession, and providing us with the absolute best representation. His representation remains one of the greatest investments and value received to this day! What stood out just as much was the respect he commanded in the courtroom. Even bail bondsmen and court clerks recognized him and noted how he consistently makes prosecutors work hard. That gave me incredible confidence in knowing we had the right person on our side. To this day, I remain blown away by his skill, humility, and thoughtfulness. I only hope he'll still be available if we ever need his services again -- though I wouldn't be surprised to see him rise to even higher levels in his career, which would be well deserved. I highly recommend Yancey Ellis without hesitation.

My brother was accused and eventually charged with marriage fraud, a federal crime, and even though he was and is innocent, the prosecution was dead set on convicting him. When my brother was arrested Jessica was my first phone call and not only had she remembered my brother from a brief consult a year before, but was extremely empathetic to his situation and was ready to help right away. She brought her partner Yancey Ellis to the case and the two of them made a dream team. For the first time in months (and years) I felt I could take a breath and let them take over my fight for my brother. I've had several bad experiences with lawyers and letting go of the reigns and letting the two of them take control was a huge deal and a huge relief because they were kicking ass. Since day one of hiring Jessica and Yancey, they've given it their all and there wasn't a day, email or phone call that went unanswered. They both are very professional, prompt, knowledgeable and heavily involved in their cases. Not only did they give me peace of mind that my brother's life and future are in good hands but accomplished the ultimate results in a record time. With their amazing work they managed to get the case dismissed by prosecution and release my brother sparing him and our whole family humiliation of the trail. Myself, my brother and our whole family is eternally thankful to Jessica and Yancey!! They rock!

The charges were very serious, and we knew his future could have been permanently affected without the right criminal defense lawyer. Mr. Jenkins is a man of few words, but when he speaks it shows in action that was effective for our situation. He clearly knows how to navigate the court system. He did not make empty promises, but you could tell he understood the law and how to work through the process. Most importantly, he truly fought for my grandson and worked hard to protect his future. He treated my grandson with respect and dignity and never made him feel like he was just another case. Instead, he treated him like a young man who had made a mistake but still deserved a chance to learn from it and move forward. Because of Mr. Jenkins, my grandson now has the opportunity to rebuild his life and make better choices going forward. Our family will always be grateful for the care and dedication he showed. If you need a lawyer who will truly advocate for you or your loved one, this firm is worth calling. As a grandmother, I also know how important it is for young people--especially young Black men--to have someone who will stand up for them and make sure they are treated fairly in the legal system. Having the right attorney can make all the difference between a mistake becoming a life-long burden or becoming a lesson that leads to a better future. If you need a criminal defense attorney in Virginia who will stand up for your loved one, I highly recommend Mr. Jenkins and the team at Bynum & Jenkins Law. If anyone I know ever needed legal help again, he would be the first person we would call.

This review is for 'Jerri Fuller' from Patrick N. Anderson & Associates practice…read more Through Jerri, I had met someone who ACTUALLY CARED; someone who actually listened! She patiently listened and answered all the questions we asked. She patiently answered every single time we asked. She saw the 'full picture' of the events and prepared an approach in advance. She was able to read behind tones, words, parts of events, timing of them, immature presumptions, body/hand movements, and what could be behind them. It is rare. It truly is. Another important thing that really stood out about Jerri is that she took notes. She took plenty of notes as we spoke. It is not common. It is, again, rare, among lawyers. They may jot down a word or two but may not take enough notes and you may be left wondering if they will remember. ONLY with her, my nerves were calm enough throughout the process. She didn't interject during talks, she didn't dismiss, she didn't get angry or frustrated when something was repeated or misunderstood... She didn't refuse to meet the other participants of the event. She met them openly and very respectfully. I didn't mind a little bit of delay in messages or email responses because when she spoke to me, she took care of all my questions and concerns. I just TRUSTED her. Her tone made me feel 'less frustrated'. Very professional and practical. She gets straight to the point and just takes care of things. She was able to negotiate options well. I came across Jerri at the peak of my frustrations, forced to look, look, search, search again. I made 3 calls. I found her on the 3rd Coming across Jerri Fuller and her work approach was a refreshing water lake in a dry, harsh, cracked desert. Water that was clear, the right temperature, and had characteristics for its intended functions. People like Jerri are RARE in general, not just in her professional community. I was lucky!

Dauntless Defense by the best of the best!…read more Ms. Marina Medvin is truly an exceptional attorney. She loves the Law, and it shows. Her expertise is best-in-class, she navigates the intricacies of the process without effort and commands respect of the prosecutors as a tough negotiator, projecting confidence with grace, elegance of logic that melts, but does not burn bridges behind. Charged with a high rate of speeding and reckless driving on George Washington Parkway (located on federal land), charge that carries possible prison term and a very high fine, I started to look for an attorney to represent me. In no time I came across hundreds of 5-star reviews left for Marina by happy clients. No paid-for advertisement can match the persuasive power of so many people from all walks of life, who had nothing but the most superlative things to say about Medvin Law. I contacted Marina, she responded promptly, and I just knew I am in good hands of an amazing lawyer. Marina was not only very responsive to my (admittedly) ceaseless questions, as I was worrying daily, and nightly, about the outcome of my case, but working with her top-notch paralegal, Elena, they advised me on exactly what to expect on the Court day and how to prepare for it. They went beyond formulaic advice, and the suggestions about what to bring with me, what not to say, what will happen in the courtroom etc. proved absolutely spot on. Marina and Elena covered things that I didn't think to ask about but was so fortunate to be in the hands of top pros, who did thoroughly thought the process through and injected it with positive energy and hope for a favorable outcome. I was most impressed with Marina's style and attention to detail while explaining the strategy, predicting likely (100% correct) outcome, and even providing encouragement and support I thought only happens in movies. I could not say enough to recommend Marina to anyone who finds him/herself in trouble. When Marina agreed to represent me, I felt the weight lifting off my shoulders, I knew I was in the best of hands. Marina is a credit to her profession and the kind of attorney others should be measured by. I feel so grateful to have her represent me, so fortunate to have her on my side. And the result in my case? A small speeding fine. Could not be more pleased.

Marina is a fearless and fearsome attorney…read more We navigated an extremely difficult case that lasted over 3 years against the most infamously stacked court systems in the country: the DC Federal District. As an attorney she stood by while I suffered withering public attacks against my character, going above and beyond our original contract in defending me not just in the legal courtroom but in the courtroom of public opinion as well. Even when my own resolve was flagging, Marina NEVER LET UP! She defended me with more ferocity than I would've defended myself! One of the greatest traits of her work is that she keeps the prosecution on the back foot. She doesn't wait for them to respond to her motions, but has the response to their response ready to go as soon as those federal prosecutors put down their pumpkin spice lattes long enough to show up to work. That's right, while the feds are busy laying about in an attempt to drag things on and drain your resources, she's WORKING. And as soon as they respond, BOOM! She's already countered their arguments. Talk about courtroom drama. She had them so backed in a corner, half of the DC DoJ flooded the court in an attempt to provide support to our prosecutors. An army of US Attorneys against just her and they knew they were losing. It was inspiring to see. But it's not just her legal knowledge and keen sense of tactics that give her such an advantage. It was what the Japanese refer to as Kokoro, or heart. Marina's valuable work ethic is the result of throwing her heart into the case. And that's not something you can say for most attorneys. Believe me, I used to work for an AmLaw 80 Corporate Law firm. I know attorneys. At the end of the day, the fees were beyond reasonable. In fact, I feel like I owe her far more than what I paid out. Hire Marina and you get more than an attorney. You get a decent, dedicated, and daunting human being. Highly recommend!

When I was sent to a General Court Martial Sam's firm argued to have a key piece of evidence suppressed on the grounds that the government had conducted an illegal search and seizure. The Command wanted to proceed with a court martial anyways and Sam successfully negotiated non judicial punishment and a retirement. On the Friday before my Monday trial, I reached out to Mr. Bose and requested he represent me on my court day. It was a miracle that he even accepted, but what really made an impact was the way he approached the situation. His demeanor was calm and reassuring as he walked me through what I would be facing on that Monday, and the potential outcomes and their consequences. Although I was facing jail time, license suspension, and more, he communicated this in such a way that was concise, and free of either sugar-coating or fear tactics. IF YOU NEED A LAWYER, BOSE IS YOUR WARRIOR!…read more I'm a person that always tries to follow the rules, doesn't cut in line, and always makes an effort to have a good moral compass. One night I made a devastating mistake. One that I was sure was going to drastically alter where my future was going. I was charged with a DUI, hit and run, obstruction of justice, refusal to blow, and no proof of insurance. I was taken to jail for the first time in my life. My cuff's were so tight that 4 months later I still have no feeling in my pinkies and thumbs. While the bruised have faded, my charges remained very real. Through a personal friend I was told to contact Mr. Bose as soon as possible. I called him as soon as I was released to set up a time to meet. He called me back immediately and set up a meeting the very next day. Even though I arrived late, he was still able to fit me in to his schedule. He closely looked at the charges I was facing, calmly asked me what my side of the situation was, and thoroughly explained what I was being charged with. The question that captured me was, "what do you want the outcome to be of this?" He genuinely cared about what I wanted to happen. Fast-forward to the day of my trial. Mr. Bose came to find me, we walked and talked. He assured me that it was not looking good for me, as my behavior had earned me so many charges. But, he had come up with a plan to take good care of me no matter what. As I anxiously awaited to be called for trial, he pulled me aside to tell me what things were looking like. I was very confused. I thought that going to trial was the only way to resolve things. Turns out, DUI- now a reckless driving, obstruction of justice- now disorderly conduct, refusing to blow- dropped, no proof of insurance- dropped, hit and run- stands but pleading not guilty. The night that I thought would ruin my career, destroy my family ties, break up my engagement, turned out to not be the worst day of my life. Because of Mr. Bose's background in law enforcement and exponential knowledge of the law, we were able to bypass trial all together. My final outcome came down to 6 months of restricted driving, a $250 fine (reduced from $500), and court fees. If results is what you need for your situation, there is no better attorney then Sudeep Bose. Trust me, he's a godsend to law!
