I had a misdemeanor that was upgraded to a felony once I left Va. Ultimately, I was detained out of town on a fugitive warrant and held for about a month. I have never even stepped foot into a courthouse yet found myself facing misdemeanor charges. Needles to say was very worried about how this would impact my job and future prospects. 10+ Star Review for Attorney Matt Crowley with Price Benowitz (He's located on Judicial Drive, right outside the Fairfax County Courthouse, just google him or call Price Benowitz) Let me start by saying that I suffer from anxiety and depression and when I charged in February of this year with Five (5) yes, five felonies, I thought I would just die. I did research on finding an attorney that would be sensitive to this and at the same time understand the severity of the nature I was under. I had never gotten into trouble with the law, other than a few speeding tickets, etc. This was all under Fairfax County mind you. My charges were the following: credit card fraud, credit card forgery, identify theft, and two others that were all related to the ones I mentioned. Needless to say, I was scared, and I knew I did nothing wrong, but that it was all a misunderstanding. For anyone that is reading this, you have to hire Matt. He is worth every penny. I have nothing to gain from this and didn't think the outcome would be what is was, I got ALL CHARGES dismissed. Yes dismissed in August 2016. I can't tell you how scared I was at the possibility of having a felony or a reduced misdemeanor charge on my record as I work for a living and I knew that could affect me in the future. Something that really caused me severe anxiety. Matt was always responsive, yet firm. He didn't want to sugarcoat anything, as the charges I was facing were severe. If I could give Matthew Crowley zero stars I would! He is great on the phone at first and easy to contact. Once he gets his first lump sum of money he is basically nonexistent. I had to tell him the court time the day before. He wouldn't have even shown up! In court his main concern is quickly finishing the case. He is not interested in the result or clients well being. Do not hire him if your child is in legal trouble. I would have been much better off using a court appointed attorney. read more
