I want so start this review by saying this was the best decision i made 2 years ago and the only reason i am writing this review is so that anyone who is going through depression or anxiety can get help . I had been depressed for almost 17 years , since my teenage years. I was so tired of everything that I wanted to end my life at one point but i knew i would never do it because i did not want to hurt my family and friends , yet i could not live a life full of joy. I was merely existing , hating myself, my life, i had zero confidence, low self esteem, extreme anxiety. Everyday i woke up sad thinking to myself why do i have to exist and do everyday mundane things. I also had a big question for myself, despite having everything in life , why am i depressed. Depression is something that drains you. It is like living with chronic pain everyday , its a struggle to get up and do even the smallest of tasks in day to day life . I had tried everything to combat depression. I also tried therapy but it did not really help. I am not discouraging anyone who is seeking therapy as it might work for some people. But i personally felt just going to therapy and talking about my problems did not really help . One day i just sat and thought , i have to help myself. I have lived long enough with pain in my life and i do not want to live a sad, unhappy , depressed life for the rest of my life . I looked online to see if there is anything i can do for myself and i read abut hypnosis. That's when i found out about Silicon Valley Hypnosis center. I was a skeptic and i found mixed reviews in general when i looked up hypnosis. To all the skeptics, i want to say give this one shot. You have nothing to lose after all. I know what its like to live in that darkness, day in and day out. Please know there is hope and help and there is light at the end of the tunnel. Hypnosis sessions with Dan helped find the cause of the problem , the cause for my depression and anxiety. Once i found the cause, it then became easier to find the solution. It was an incredible journey that helped me discover the things that had led me to this point. There were so many negative thoughts ,repressed past events and memories that i was not consciously aware of. With each session, i got more clarity. Today i feel like a huge burden has been lifted off and i am finally living the life i always wanted to. I had never thought it would be possible to live a fulfilling life, free of depression. I have found my peace. Of course, there are always good days and bad days, life is never perfect but these sessions have taught me how to be ok with both and how to balance my emotions . I must admit I didn't think I was the ideal client for Dan, as I didn't have specific goals and I generally felt stuck in several areas of my life. I'd had very long-term struggles which were triggered more recently yet also felt connected to very deep programming. I knew I didn't fit a "quick results" -model which I thought I was supposed to, to work with Dan, but I really wanted to work with him. I'm so grateful that Dan was willing to work with me and the unique circumstances I was showing up with, and that he was able to meet me right where I was. I wasn't sure how it would work, with my lack of specific goals, and my sense of overall stuckness and struggle. Once we started working together, I quickly started feeling deep inner material was churning and moving in new ways that were sure to manifest in the real world. Due to my deeper and more global need for transformation, I worked with Dan weekly for several months. I found he has a very grounding and healing presence, he is extremely knowledgeable and skilled, and his methods are very effective. He also offers a video course for self-study which is such a fantastic resource. I really appreciate the concepts and skills I learned from those videos. Through our session work, Dan helped me make peace with aspects of myself and my past that I was before unable to reconcile or make sense of, which had been creating huge blocks to my growth and healing. I became able to see my behaviors and choices much more clearly, and I came further into my power to change in the ways I needed to live the life I'd been wanting. I've done many other kinds of therapy and many of them have been valuable, each in their own way. Working with Dan was uniquely beneficial and extremely valuable to my healing and personal transformation. I now have much more self-confidence and self-awareness, and I no longer self-sabotage or abandon myself. I'm also much better able to focus and be productive, as I've gotten a handle on the procrastination and overwhelm I used to struggle with so severely. I met with Dan based on a good friend's recommendation. When I first met with him, I wasn't sure which problem I wanted to tackle first, there were so many things. For starters, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, phase I and was sure that was a psychosomatic issue that had nothing to do with my healthy habits. I also was dealing with claustrophobia for years, and until my consultation with him, was completely unaware that I had not completely overcome the death of my mother 39 years ago, and of my young niece 15 years ago. Although with some skepticism at first, for I had never attended a hypnotherapy consultation before, each session had a tremendous healing impact over me... just the first session completely released a clenched muscle that had been pulling from my neck all the way down to my shoulder blade, almost immobilizing my left arm. By the way, I must mention, the left side is where the cancer was found... The second session brought images from my deceased loved ones in such a powerful way that I know that my attachments were departing from repressed pain & suffering, but now I have released them in infinite love. And last, I found out that the claustrophobia I was suffering from, due to a memory hidden in the unconscious of my mother tying my arms as a baby so I wouldn't scratch my face. Once those memories were brought to the conscious and thorough simple exercises Dan walked me through, I changed my perspective, the result was healing. I am planning to see Dan again to work on assertiveness issues when conducting public presentations. I have stage fright randomly, but I know that if he helps me find out the source of them, I may also overcome them. During the summer of 2014 I found myself (through a set of circumstances) in the midst of a serious anxiety/panic disorder which left me unable to leave my house at first and I was unable to drive for a couple of months. It was as though all the anxieties of my entire lifetime had come back to haunt me all at once. It became clear to me that I needed something more than medications to get me through this and past this. Something that would get to the source of my problems, not just put a band aid on them. I met Dan through his Personal Development Meetup. Impressed with his way of being, extensive knowledge and the way he applies engineering to working with people, I asked if he could help me with public speaking. Like many, public speaking always terrified me. Even introducing myself to a large group caused fear and anxiety. So I was delighted recently to discover myself sharing on a microphone to a group of strangers without any hesitation. I never would have done that before! Another challenge has been five years of waking up and not being able to go back to sleep. After working with Dan for one session, I've been sleeping through most nights. I received excellent consultation and profound healing help from Mr Dan. It took 3 sessions and a lot of self realization homework to get to core/roots beliefs I had built up over time. Not Including being a 3 time Veteran with Severe PTSD and completely disabled from that to where I couldn't drive or even have fun with my family (since 1994). With residual head trauma symptoms and severe depression. I felt really inadequate. As, I write this review, I'm surprised that words I had forgotten to spell are rolling right off the keyboard. I came to Dan to help me with weight loss. I figured since I'm well past menopause it would be difficult for me. After just a few or maybe even one session, the pounds started to come off. He really helped me get to the root of the matter. Nothing terribly deep, he just pointed out a couple of unconscious associations. He also gives just really effective and sensible advice. I always figured that as I got older, I'd need to live on a leafy green salad diet to prevent what seemed inevitable no matter how active I was. And I would have to sacrifice dessert and chocolate. But I'm super happy to say that while I'm still a few pounds away from my goal, I don't deprive myself of the occasional fattening food or sweet. I just don't have it as often. I have had 3 sessions with Dan to help me resolve anxiety that I was having about physical symptoms as I try to recover from post-vaccine fatigue. Even after just one session, I felt a huge improvement in how frequently I scanned my body for symptoms and how I reacted mentally when symptoms increased. After 3 sessions, I no longer felt panicked or had negative thoughts when I had more symptoms due to physical activity. Prior to this, I tried various CBT methods to overcome my tendency to obsess about my symptoms, but I was really struggling. Now, I feel much more hopeful and my mind no longer spirals into negative thoughts. I did not think I was someone who could "be hypnotised", but Dan's technique feels more like a guided meditation.
