So in all honesty, it took me awhile to decide if it was worth doing this review or not as I am not a person who likes to hurt someone's business however this is truly needed to be read and said. I started my sessions with Sarah in August and paid the almost $6,000. fee which was hard to do and blew my mind it cost that much but I was desperate for dealing with issues I was going thru. Let me start by saying it started off well other than me feeling punched in the gut over paying that much. She comes off very caring and very knowledgeable. She has you pour out everything of course which is needed and writes it all down, so I gave her all the details of everything in my life from from losing my mom and dad one in a tragic way to my brother who is having his own severe issues and how that's affecting me as I am essentially alone as far as family. And then once we got into the second to third or so sessions, she would ask me things like so where is your dad or tell me about your parents or your brother and I would literally find myself saying constantly remember we talked about this last time my dad died or my brother is here or there so not only did I feel like she wasn't remembering anything about me she literally wasn't taking the time to read her notes or soak in anything about me prior to our sessions, which was hurtful and I felt unheard and this set back my trust in her and the sincerity of her overall at that point. She never seemed prepared and I was always on time and ready. Despite all this, I still kept going as I've already paid and was so hopeful this would still help me. So to wrap things up... we've all seen a million movies of hypnosis and she made it clear that this is not like the movies nor did I ever expect that and somehow I passed the test she does which again I don't know what she's looking for in that, but every time I was supposedly under hypnosis I felt exactly the same and not in a deep relaxation nor other state, but I still kept with it. I will mention she said it is vital to stick to these back to back, meaning not a huge lapse in time which I did for the sessions and on Nov 2nd I became ill and asked can I reschedule she then told me she is leaving town for three weeks and will send me over dates for when she is back which would fall at the end of November after Thanksgiving or beginning of December. I waited patiently to see the new date choices but never hear from her again. I waited and waited thinking well it's now approaching Thanksgiving so she must be busy...but once we got into December 17th and approaching the Xmas break I had enough of being patient and not important so I sent her another text saying I have waited over six weeks to hear from you on dates and this is ridiculous and not any way to treat your clients and can she refund me for the last sessions as at this point all trust is gone and respect for Sarah. She immediately tried to call me then and sent me a text back asking me to forgive her with a voicemail verbatim saying she had been busy and sick and basically forgot me and how once a year she has people fall thru the cracks and she is working on it. She also stated no refunds are granted per the agreement she makes you sign. The tone of this and forgetting me and my existence confirmed left me more in disbelief and deserved no reply back from me again but did deserve this real and honest review. This was a costly and hurtful lesson learned. Also, if you know you're going to be out of town for 3 to 4 weeks, you shouldn't be starting sessions with somebody when you make it clear that there shouldn't be a big lapse of time between sessions. Spend your money elsewhere on a really good therapist or support groups. That was not a good experience or helpful overall, even if her forgetting me and never rescheduling with new dates never happened. Do not trust most of these good reviews, very fishy. read more

BEFORE In recent years I had inexplicably developed claustrophobia that was becoming worse with time. In spite of using every other tool at my disposal - such as yoga, mediation, positive affirmations, traditional therapy, and even some self-directed "exposure therapy" - the claustrophobia become almost entirely debilitating, and was starting to impact activities that I used to enjoy as well as medical treatments. I had gotten to the point where I was having panic attacks during routine dental procedures, being on a plane, and even when wearing a hoodie sweatshirt. This was all new to me, as I had never had panic attacks nor claustrophobia before. It was scary, and it was having an increasingly negative impact on my life. AFTER In working with Sarah, we were able to identify my goals as well as the potential triggers and/or cause of the claustrophobia, and Sarah designed a clinical hypnotherapy treatment plan for me to not only "re-program" my sub-conscious but also to clear the root cause and sew the seeds of long-term future success and maintenance. 10/10 would recommend Sarah, it is far more effective than regular talk therapy, and I've tried two talk therapists to date in my life thus far. Her sessions were extremely effective and she asks thoughtful and pointed questions that no therapist has ever done for me and she was able to unpack stored traumas I never knew was buried by session 2+3. I was absolutely mind-blown at how transformative her sessions were and she even drew some simple diagrams to help me visualize my anxiety and how my brain was processing information. Do NOT let her price tag scare you away, this is WAY more effective and worth it than regular talk therapy (at least in my experience of trying both now). Talk therapy can also be very pricey if your insurance does not cover it but Sarah's sessions are worth it, truly. I am so glad I gave her a try. I would much rather go to her than a traditional talk therapist, any day. I understand many won't be able to afford this but I hope that Sarah can maybe offer financial assistance for those who need it or are lower income. Here's more about my personal story: I had an ankle injury and was in a walking boot for a few weeks and then I had started experiencing debilitating nerve pain in one leg and it spread to both legs and became more excruciatingly painful over time. I had been through the medical system and saw 5+ doctors including specialists and done so many tests (emergency room visits, primary care doctors, had xrays, MRIs, bloodwork multiple times, nerve conduction studies...) until I finally saw a neurologist who diagnosed me with FND (functional neurological disorder) and also Central Sensitization. Yes, you heard that right a stanford neurologist recommended that I try hypnotherapy! Ultimately, none of my rigorous testing showed physical damage to be causing this crazy nerve pain that was spreading through my lower limbs. I was told to learn how to calm my nervous system by learning about this condition, trying meditation, yoga, and reduce anxiety + stress with things like Reiki and yes, hypnotherapy too. I learned about how chronic pain can be worse and amplified even where there is no serious physical damage and how being in fight or flight prolongs symptoms and exaggerates them and that your brain is incredibly powerful and can be trying to protect you from anxieties. Finding Sarah for hynotherpy helped me learn about one of the most important elements to my condition -- which is about the mind-body connection and how it is very real. Your mind can run wild and play tricks on you and your body and she helped me navigate my dark and stressful very painful time as I was falling into fear and depression more and more everyday. Going into the consultation and first session, I was a complete, stressed out, angry, high anxiety mess. I have BPD, so a lot is going on with that. Six months ago my 19 year old had a panic attack on our hour flight to SoCal and it was the most terrifying experience ever to witness your child in that state. I had heard about hypnotherapy from a person I greatly esteem and works in the medical field. I had a great experience with Sarah. She is not only great with Hypnosis but also understands all forms of situations that can cause anxiety and how to change your way of looking at it to reduce stress. Initially I was skeptical about Hypnosis. I couldn't really believe the things on TV where some person in Hypnosis would make sounds like a chicken when requested and wouldn't remember anything after. But I did believe that my very specific problem needed to focus on the unconscious part of my brain and told Sarah my story: Due to back pain I was recommended a mixture of THC and CBD drops to reduce the pain and inflammation. Instead of having the "recreational" drug effect that so many people seem to enjoy, it caused me the worst night of my live. I literally thought I was having a heart attack. When the drops wore off, I was better and thought that was it. But something in my body got triggered that from then on every time I would take any medication (aspirin, antihistamine, anything) I would end up with an insanely high heart beat. I got checked out by doctors and they said everything was normal. So I knew it wasn't a real medical problem, but an anxiety issue in my subconsciousness. I was afraid that Sarah might laugh about my story or would say she needed a doctors note or that there is nothing she could do. But she understood the problem and tested me if I was "susceptible" to Hypnosis. It was nothing like in the movies and no pendulum involved. Instead Sarah was describing mental images and it was a weird feeling. I didn't feel like I was in Hypnosis at all, very aware of everything but yet it felt very powerful. Even so much that the next day I felt worse and kinda drained and wasnt sure if it would work. Hypnosis sessions aren't cheap and I was worried that I spent a lot of money on hocus pocus. But I kept going and I am glad I did. I only needed four sessions (each session is around 90 minutes) to overcome this weird medication trigger, and Sarah gave me even more tips along the way. I was waiting to write the review to see if my condition would stay stable. Now, 2 months later, I can still take medication without worrying about my heart rate. Such a relief in allergy season and when having headaches. I don't even think about it, whereas before it would send my body into a frenzy.
