Arda and the Rise to Realize group was paramount to my healing journey. My story is that I been recovering from burn out, stress and anxiety from pushing my mind and body so hard till I had a few mental breakdowns. I have been working with Arda on a weekly basis for almost 2 months. This is the first time I have ever been a part of a program/coaching/therapy such as this. I called for an initial meeting. Arda agreed to follow up by sending me an outline to my program to my email, which I provided to him. When I followed up with Arda about this over a week later, he justified his aloof approach (not emailing me) on his claim that I'd unsent messages to him. "I'm confused. Based on other reviewers, you already know how amazing Arda is and what transformation is possible. So I'll make this review about my experiences with the ecosystem that is part of Ask Arda, including the coaching, his book, the POWER method, and his workshops as well as coaching school. Through immersing myself in all of the resources within this ecosystem, I have become a better son, husband, father, business partner, leader, friend, and brother. It is a lifelong practice to learn how to live a fulfilling, happy life that flows. Using martial arts as an analogy, the Ask Arda system has paved a path for me to become a black belt at life, capable of facing situations and challenges with awareness, grace, and control. In terms of 1:1 coaching (or in my case, 2:1 coaching for me and my business partner), Arda was able to help us unlock our communication and gain clarity on our roles, as well as codify our long term vision for our company. After years, we still continue to receive coaching from Arda on a regular basis, as we find it to be core to a strong foundation to our partnership and make us better leaders. His book, The Art of Becoming Unstuck, is like a modern manuscript housing the truths and techniques of conscious living and being. It was an easy read that felt instantly relatable and clearly explained why and how our programming caused me to become stuck. Some were sharing the same challenges, while others were going through challenges that I knew I will eventually have to face, even if I wasn't experiencing them now. It's for those people who recognize the importance of long term practice and desire to achieve mastery, or even to become a coach themselves. I cannot say enough about Arda Ozdemir and his coaching skills, philosophy and methodology. I've seen many therapists throughout the years but never have I ever made as much progress as I have with Arda. It's unbelievable. My psychopharmacologist who I've been seeing for the past 25 years could not believe the shift. Just as you're reading reviews maybe looking for something meaningful, about 5 years ago I was feeling lost, down and out of control about my emotions and life. On the surface everything was great but I was wanting more from life. I didn't understand how on a perfectly fine day my emotions could get the best of me and derail the whole day and due to that life seemed like a roller coaster. I got on yelp to see if I could (most likely) find a therapist but came across the mind-blowing reviews about "The Journey Within" workshop that was happening right in my neighborhood. While skeptical I decided to take the classes. And those classes over several weeks changed my outlook and life. For the first time I could see and feel a shift in my mind at how I looked at conflicts and what I could learn from them. It was just the beginning! Since then I have moved away but have continued to stay in touch with Arda and done personal and couple's sessions with him. He continues to guide me in my life to be a better and more in tune person. When there is a conflict in my mind or with a person, I follow his method to resolve and find an answer. You know those days where you are just tired of dealing with the same emotional and physical BS? I was having that day every day and was sick of it. Arda has helped me to change all of that, and in only a few weeks! Sessions with Arda are wonderful. It's all about identifying your own bad patterns and the identities you weave for yourself around those bad patterns, and then learning to let them go. If you can get to the point of surrendering these bad identities, then you can replace them with positive ones. To give you an idea of how quickly this has worked for me, I like to compare it to what I would expect in basic therapy. I've done enough of it to have a good understanding of what it takes to heal with that method....and it takes a LOT of time. Mostly, it's up to you to identify your own crap and then do something about it. Most therapists will guide you and give you homework, but not fix it. After 3 sessions with Arda, I'm where I expected to be at after 6 months of therapy. Jaw dropping, isn't it. Why did I go to Arda? I never have done anything like Reiki or other spiritual healing before. I've had my fair share of emotional trauma over the years and have done mental health therapy for many many years. After going through four months of severe depression and weight gain, I decided that therapy wasn't going to cut it. I got married in April, so I should be over the moon...but i wasn't. I lost my job, the job that I loved (tech start-up, need I say more?), but the emotional reaction was so severe that it scared me. At the same time, my best friend ditched me for no apparent reason. I went on a diet to lose the weight but no change, so between the physical manifestations and the depression itself, I wanted a more holistic approach to healing. I'll admit that I was a bit nervous to start down this path. I come from a conservative family, and although I am a more open-minded liberal, I was worried about being rejected by my husband or being judged by my family. To my utter delight, this process has been nothing but uplifting and my husband and family are so supportive. The biggest change that others see in me is the lightness, the joy I can sustain, and my positivity. I'm not depressed anymore. I'm not even sad. It turns out that my new job is better than I thought it was now that that veil has been lifted. I'm making new friends left and right. My husband and I are very happy together. I am discovering myself again and finding new ways to enjoy life and be fulfilled. We're working on my weight now, and I'm really looking forward to improving in that regard as well. My sinuses and allergies are better already...man, I get so excited thinking about how good life can be if I were free of them and my asthma, too! The first time I went to Arda's office, I was simply curious about what energy healing was all about, plus I had had a surgery a month before, and I was wondering if this could be of any help in my long-term healing. The first time I met him was in early-April. Two months and 3 formal sessions later, it turned out that what I received is more than I asked for. First off, I did not expect to be embarking on a journey of psychological and emotional healing as well. Arda got me started on journaling, which unearths many past issues that I have slowly come to acknowledge and "deal with" through the act of writing. Writing them down brought the buried issues to light. When I met with Arda, we talked about the issues, before beginning the energy healing session. I find writing and talking to be very therapeutic, because they pull out what's in the unconscious and put them on the table. Thanks to Arda, I can now face my past with more acceptance, understanding and forgiveness. Secondly, hands-on energy healing is really interesting! The first time when Arda placed his palms an inch or two from my head and I felt waves of electricity-like vibrations, I thought I was delusional. Am I kidding myself, or is this real? Palms can emanate energy? Am I imagining things? But the second time when I clearly felt the heat at one focal point in my belly, even after he removed his palms, I began to be convinced. Something is probably going on. This elusive "energy," though invisible, might be real. I have seen him 3 times so far. And every time, the feeling is different. Sometimes the feeling of "energy flow" is stronger, sometimes weaker. But I am amazed nonetheless. Thirdly, I have to mention this: I used to have chronic lower back pain at my right side, which had been bugging me for YEARS, but it disappeared after the second session with Arda! To put things in perspective, I did ask myself, could this be due to the TCM herbs? Or did my yoga finally work? But the disappearance of my the lower back pain coincided so well with Arda's healing session I had to give credit to him. Fearing that it might have been a placebo, I have been "waiting" for it to come back, (as it always did, after yoga, after massage...) but it didn't, to this date. It was GONE! Wow. How "reiki" or "qi" works is mysterious and almost paranormal to me, but I would definitely like to learn more. Lastly, I really like Arda as a person. Arda has an amazing calmness and serenity in his demeanor. I think you would have to be in a state of inner peace and equanimity in order to manifest that serenity in your demeanor. The state of his "being," or at least what I have experienced and observed, is beautiful. I wish I can be as serene, grounded, peaceful and joyful as him! The only thing I didn't find very effective is EFT. Arda uses that as part of his therapy, but somehow is didn't really work for me. Maybe its effectiveness just eludes me, I don't know. Oh well. In addition to private energy healing session, he teaches Qigong classes on every Wednesday evening. If you are curious about qigong or energy healing like I do, you might want to start off by attending his weekly qigong workshop and see how you feel about it. A couple months ago, I decided to stop talk therapy and look for something that would work more directly with the energy patterns in my subconscious. My intuintion told me I was emotionally stuck I'm a way that was beyond conscious control. I have never wanted to give someplace or someone more than 5 stars on Yelp until Arda! I went to see Arda for Asthma and Anxiety. Shortly into our sessions we shifted the focus to other core aspects of my life. It wasn't until I was on a camping trip and realized I had forgotten my inhaler that I also realized I hadn't used it in over a month! I have never in my life gone more than a few days without using my inhaler. Not only that, but once I realize it isn't with me I usually begin to wheeze. Knowing this I found a CVS 20 minutes away and was planning to pick it up when I realized I wasn't wheezing at all. I decided to hold off on picking up the inhaler and spent the next two days camping and hiking without it! Prior to seeing Arda I spent 13 years in talk therapy for anxiety and have seen a number of reiki and acupuncture specialist for asthma. The transformation I experienced in just a few months with Arda has not only exceeded any past experience with similar modalities, but it has been far beyond my previous comprehension! I feel Arda truly embodies what he is helping others to. Because his technique comes from such an enlightened core place, he is able to create a space for people to shift, re-pattern, and heal in a way few practitioners today can. I can not say enough good things about my experiences working with Arda. I found Arda on Yelp a year ago when I was going through a very difficult low-point in my life. I felt stuck in a relationship, insecure, anxious, lost, bored, guilty, and always fearful. During this time I went to lots of therapists, coaches, body workers, teachers, etc. looking for something that would help me move away from the low point I was in. Nothing was helping, until I started working with Arda. I started by taking his individual sessions once a week. Then I began attending the weekly Wednesday night meditation class and enrolled in The Journey Within 7-week workshop. The workshop series was so transformative that I took it twice. I would recommend ANY and ALL of the services Arda offers. Arda makes it easy to learn and integrate simple concepts into daily life that lead to lasting and profound changes. Arda is kind, humble, and joyful. The spaces that he creates are always safe and free from judgement. I hesitate to use the word miracle worker, but it's really the only thing that fits. I've been to countless counselors and therapists to try and deal with lingering issues. And yet...they kept lingering. Why? Because we keep repeating patterns over and over again. Paradoxically, even though those patterns yield the same unfortunate results, we return to those same behaviors - we pick the same type of relationships with friends and romantic partners over and over again. Or we pick the same type of job despite how much we hate it. We fight the same way, we interact the same way, we engage the same way we always did. We are creatures of habit, not because they are always successful habits, but because it's comforting and we know what to expect...and we are ultimately afraid of trying another road. Arda, through amazing insight, energy healing and thoughtful advice somehow managed to get me completely unstuck and realize my patterns, that were not only not helping, but hurting. Arda is an amazing healer! I agree with another reviewer that it is hard to convey what he does but the energy treatment is amazing! I did not expect this treatment to be the journey that I am now on but it is really helping me with my physical symptoms--not to mention that I am recognizing some life-long patterns....finally... I had been experiencing random outbreaks of hives for months and after one visit with Arda they diminished remarkably! I also did not expect to go to the level of emotional therapy that we have but really feel like am healing emotionally and psychologically and I am very grateful for that! I have an incredibly hard time voicing my feelings and this kind of therapy --even though non-traditional--is exactly what I needed and I say that after seeing 2 previous "traditional" therapists.
