However, after…read moreneeding to contact the dr since no one in the staff called me back, Dr. Kotha was rude, condescending, and patronizing. He deferred blame to a radiologist and spoke with me for only 2 minutes and 20 seconds, answering not a single of my questions and only continuing to prize his time over mine. NEVER again will I go to this doctor office or see Dr. Kotha. My time is far better spent with doctors that actually care about their patients.

I have a good doctor in Muzammil M. Ahmed, and I used to enjoy going there for my checkups, until…read morethe last time I was there. I am debating wether or not to go back to this office. It seems that someone got the bright idea that this should be a gun free zone. This was a really dumb idea. The new office manager put up a new sign (illegally posted at that) about 12 feet away from the door and on the inside of a window, on a path that no one ever travels. He really expects people to see this, not a chance. If this is what you really want, than post it on all of the entry doors where it belongs. Besides, this will only stop legally carried guns from coming in. If someone is carrying an illegal gun, they will bring it in anyway, they don't care about posted signs. Why don't you just post "legally carried gun are not welcome". Ask all of those that were in the theater where 90+ people were shot. A legally carried gun could and most likely would have prevented a lot these injuries. I go to a lot of doctors and not one of them ask me to leave it home. Most, welcome it that someone is in there that could help them if something were to happen. Well, I have about 8 months to think this over, We will just have to wait and see what happens between now and than. A legally carried gun is there for you protection, not to do you or anyone else any harm.

I am former military, have been injured for eight years, and have received physical therapy from the Navy, multiple establishments out of state, and multiple establishments local (Westland, Canton area). This is the ONLY establishment with physical therapists who are truly knowledgeable, with multiple physical therapists at this location having 10+ years of experience. The negative review mentioned lack of attentiveness but I assure you that is not the case at this location at all. It is beautiful inside, spacious, they have a lot of equipment that other establishments wouldn't even know how to use, and are very, very personal. I believe the physical therapists here are very friendly, welcoming, and have a great sense of humor. It removes the angst of feeling like you're going to a dreaded doctors appointment, and makes it feel like you're going to hang out with people who care about you all while getting better physically in the process! I have attended four appointments at this location so far, after receiving a right hip arthroscopy with a labrum repair surgery. I did not expect to feel so confident in my recovery, and to already see progress in my mobility, but here we are! I can personally vouch for Shujat, he is an incredible Physical Therapist who has answered all of my questions with ease and wisdom. As far as the other Physical Therapists, I have spoke to them in passing and have seen their work with patients first hand and can say with full faith - that they, too, are wonderful. Don't let the review from two years ago steer you away from trying Athletico!

VERY IMPORTANT, NOT ALL PATIENTS WERE MADE TO WEAR THEIR MASK!!! also after less than 30 days fell…read moreon my freshly surgical knee. I was in the hospital for a week, then transferred here. The 1st thing that hit me was oh my gosh it feels like the heat is on, no a/c? I had to soak my head every few hours to make it bearable!!! Then the stench of Urine & recipes was sickening!! I was in pain and had to go to the bathroom. I asked at least 4 times, I had no walker and am a fall risk. Never given a bedpan after 1&1/2 hours I asked an aid she said " you'll have to wait" It wasn't until I saw the Dr here that he told someone to take me, after 1 & 3/4 hours to b able to go. I have a pic line and was told it's imperative that I get my meds for blood infection 3 times a day (otherwise the infection could get even more serious, ) every 8 hours. I didn't get it til sometime after 12:am missed a whole dose! , also missed 2 other does as well because THEY RAN OUT OF THE MEDICATION causing me to have to stay 2 extra days!! . I started getting upset. I told them I have to at least have a fan, I was told we Dont have one, ( also asked for a remote for the tv, which took 24 hours). By this point it was 8:30, I didn't get any of my meds which I desperately needed, in so much pain. I started crying, I called my daughter and she said we will look for a new place, in the meantime, call 911, to take you back to the hospital which I did. But they said the nurse here had to CALL they refused!!!. I had a total melt down ; saying " I WANT TO GO, ITS TOO HOT IN HERE, YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE MY MEDS! WHY DID YOU ACCEPT ME IF YOU DONT HAVE THE MEDS?? I had called the Dr at 6, he said he'd call them ( they were saying it had to come from the pharmacy ). They took my vitals and IT went from 110/60 normally to 175-80 in a few hours!! The food the 1st day was so bad I couldn't even eat it, I asked for. Pb&j, took another 2 hours. The other food wouldn't of been bad except it's stone cold every time man!! My pain meds were due 3hours ago. I haven't even seen a sign of an aid or nurse. Weekends were even worse cause the regular staff was off and temps were there, they didn't care about us. It took over 24 hours to get soap in my bathroom and paper towels!! The help lights were always going off as well as alarm that someone is trying to get out, it's hell trying to sleep in there. And those alams and help buzzers drove me crazy cause they went unanswered a lot of times. I had 2 really bad experiences w aids, one was snotty anytime I asked for help, even just to get water!!The man aid hurt me physically when I asked for help w my knee cooling apparatus because the Velcro was on my skin, so he roughly redid it too tight! The orthopedic Dr that did my surgery told me ice your knee as much as possible for pain and swelling. Supposed to be every 3-4 hours get fresh ice. But seeing as it was hot as hell in there, everyone needed ice water, so I had a hard time getting it. Then their ice machine broke, so instead of going to get it somewhere else, or fixing it, they did nothing When he spilled my roommates water he started yelling and beating on bathroom door . I had a horrible nurse w an attitude that wouldn't even speak to me, I slept w earbuds w fan noise. She pulled my arm dislodging pick Medline. I had to have it replaced! Now originally Beaumont Taylor did it. They were fantastic!! They made sure I had pain meds before, there were 2 of them, they sprayed it to numb it, it wasn't very painful at all. But at Westland Rehab, the guy came in w/o warning so I didn't have my pain meds, he didn't spray to numb it, I screamed loud it hurt so bad. Then forgot to remove turnicate and I started bleeding like crazy!!! The place lost almost all its good assistants, after promising a raise, then the company went back on their word!! But Helen & Cash and Alexis were exceptionally wonderful nurse aides And nurses Jackie, Julie and Sherhonda took such great care of me they went above and beyond , they definitely made my stay more tolerable, very sweet and understanding. I had physical and occupational therapy w Kristina and Phil they were amazing . If you must put a loved one in here, make sure they have access to ordering groceries ( I used Kroger but it was $15 to deliver, so let them order, and you deliver it. ) Also, let them order Applebees for the days where the food is gross. Make sure you pack sanitized wipes, soap for bathroom, shampoo & conditioner and razors to shave. PMake sure your loved one has snacks. Go visit them, call them, don't forget about them!! You are their advocate, cause they are stuck in there and the ONLY THING THAT MADE IT BEARABLE WAS I WAS TRANSFERED TO A ROOM WHERE MY ROOMMATE HAD COPD, SO SHE HAD A/C, THANK GOD. I suggest you get them A/C cause it was hard as heck to sleep w it being so hot .

He went here after a short hospital stay to strengthen his legs and the rehab caused him to pull a ligament in his knee. It took almost a month to get a brace for him. Now they are practically holding him hostage. We requested for them to start the paperwork for a discharge last Thursday and since the message didn't get to the right people and because of other discharges, they "won't have time" to get to the paperwork until this Thursday. If you choose this place either for yourself or someone you love, be prepared to not have privacy, to eat cold, usually unidentifiable food, and to be forgotten about. I have had to personally go up there to the nurses station to get something that my dad had requested 3 times without receiving it. You will not receive an apology for anything and will be made to feel like it was your fault. Also, make sure you know what your insurance covers and do NOT rely on their interpretation of Medicare. They told us he would be 100% covered for 100 days. They were WRONG!!! He was covered for only 20 days at 100%, then our cost is $120 per day after that.
