Repeat customer no more!…read more I spoke with Steve (owner) on the phone in regards to seeing a file of the work he previously did for me. He came across as grumpy on the phone but I let it go because he said, "if we did the work, it's in the system and I can find it." Then came an email an hour later saying "Nope. The system makes me jump through hoops to release a file. No time for that. Just send me the changes you want." Steve not only forget his manners as he came across rude and abrupt (no "sorry" or even any ounce of effort to help), but he also forgot that if he wants me to send him changes to an existing file, he would have to find the time to eventually get that file anyway to print said changes! It's too bad "finding time" to help a repeat customer was so difficult for Steve. It would be a different story if he was simply unable to, but he made it clear he could find the previous work, he just chose not to. Life is too short to deal with grumpy old men with no awareness for how to speak to others, let alone how to run a business. Business owners are literally in business to support client needs with a solution - somewhere along the way Steve forgot that!

If anyone is looking around for a place that offers more than spiral binding, they do offer "perfect binding" which is glued, unexposed page edges where they're bound together. He gave me rushed service and did not give me the product I asked for. If he didn't have the time to do what I wanted he could've referred me to the printing shop one Plaza over. They did take me, and told me he will sometimes refer clients. The woman there understood exactly what I was asking for and instead of blatantly refusing my service like ad print guy did, they just let me know when to pick it up.

I especially like the smaller postal service locations that accept packages for both carriers. I normally use QR codes for my labels so I don't have to print everything out, cut the labels, and tape them onto the packages. Unfortunately, as soon as I walked in, I saw a sign saying they don't accept QR codes. It was definitely inconvenient, but I appreciated that they had the policy clearly posted on the door, so at least it wasn't a surprise. Because of that, I really didn't have much use for this location and probably won't be back unless their policy changes. I do wish they would find a way to accept QR codes or make whatever accommodations are needed to offer that option.
