A great way to spend our last night. We decided to spend our last day in Modena by hopping between Parma and Bologna to try their specialties - them meats. The whole day revolved around handfuls of snacks since all we did was walk. This is where our day ended.
It was a very busy Saturday night and we had no reservation, but they were able to seat us with one caveat - we had to give up our seat after an hour since it was reserved. If there's one thing Americans are good at it's being rushed during a meal so of course we were down to clown. One hour was more than enough for us.
We got what ended up basically being a charcuterie board- the meat sampler and cheese plate. We got entirely too much food, but I saved the leftover meats for the following morning.
I have to give a special mention to the staff who took such great care of us. Because they're located in the city center that obviously accommodates tourists, communication is not an issue. Every single person who came to our table was so nice and friendly. One didn't get the memo that we were being timed cos she sure did tell us to take our time finishing our dessert.
They also happen to be perfectly located that if you're here for dinner, you can hear whoever is busking in the center along with all the other happenings. People watching truly is delightful. read more
