    Pasta trio
    Russ K.

I am rounding up from a likely 4.5 to 5 stars mainly because the service/staff were terrific! A warm, friendly atmosphere from start to finish and a neat interior decor welcomed our party of 9. Food was very good, except for the Tortellini in Brodo (broth), which was undercooked a bit, as agreed by all. The charcuterie boards were simple but very nice. I had a pasta trio that had the tortellini + lasagne + pappardelle ragu & loved the latter two! Lastly, we enjoyed several wines from their expansive list and am happily report the prices are reasonably priced.

Ossobuco, grilled vegetables side and coniglio wrapped In porchetta. Delicious!

We enjoyed this place so much on our first night in Bologna that decided to go again on our last night in town. That carpaccio was calling us back and it didn't disappoint! We sat outside and had the same server as we did earlier in the week. Service was excellent and our meals were great! Enjoy your visit!

Big tourist trap- but one of the few places you can eat without a reservation in Bologna. The waiters are rude and standoffish, seems as though they just want flip the tables as quickly as possible. The food was fine, traditional Emilian food, but the dishes weren't anything special. Try to get a reservation at Serghei next door if you can.

Food was excellent. Service was sub par. It took quite awhile for anyone to wait on us, the other tables that were seated after us, were waited on before us. Our waiter, Claudio was rude and judgmental because we were tourists. Clearly they do not like tourists. This was recommended to us by a local so we could get authentic Bolognese food

Of all the meals I ate over 10 days in Italy, Dal Biassanot was only surpassed by restaurants with Michelin stars. That means quality, son! I was lured by a recommendation in Frommer's 2017 Italy guide and the high Yelp ranking. I love my first course: stringozzi piccanti ai pomodorini e guanciale (long pasta with tomato, bacon, and chili - €10) Second course was also a home run: tagliata di manzo rucola e grana (grilled steak with parmesan and arugula - €15). Staff was really kind. The place totally filled up soon after we arrived, so it's clearly a popular choice. I would happily go back again and again and again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here! First off, their basket of breads and crackers have a nice variety to start you out with. Nothing to write home about, but still nice. My wife ordered the home-made pasta with prosciutto and asparagus. Her dish was probably my favorite. The pasta was thick and twisted, making for a somewhat chewy but tender texture - exactly what I love about home-made pasta. The flavors were delicious, too - especially with the prosciutto. I ordered ravioli, which also had a nice pasta texture, but wasn't nearly as good as my wife's first dish. For my second course, I had the Wild Boar with Polenta, which was also very delicious. The meat was fall-apart and tender, with a perfect sauce to complement. The polenta was partly fried, so it was in a clump. It was an interesting way of presenting polenta, but I actually enjoyed it! The service was not bad - they got the job done, especially when the restaurant started getting busier. This is definitely a restaurant I would revisit if I'm ever back in Bologna.

We had read about this restaurant and made a reservation before leaving the USA for lunch. The atmosphere was rustic and charming. All the staff were very welcoming, especially Matteo, our server. He was so helpful in explaining the dishes to us. My husband tried something very different for him. He ordered tortellini rosa con prosciutto e pinoli (pink tortellini with ham and pine nuts). I love all things with mortadella, so I had to try the raviolini Bologna ai pistacchi (raviolis stuffed with mortadella and pistachios). Both dishes were incredibly flavorful. We enjoyed a 1/2 liter of red wine and water. To finish, we had a selection of local cheeses. This was really a good place to enjoy a nice lunch! Our total bill was € 43.50.

While on a day trip to Bologna, I knew we couldn't leave without eating the popular dishes they're known for: tortellini and tagliatelle al ragu. The boyfriend and I were walking around the two towers, Garisenda and Asinelli, and found Dal Biassanot on Yelp. This was fairly nearby but seemed far enough away that locals would eat there. While walking over, the streets became quieter and a little more narrow. There was a church and we passed through a former Jewish Ghetto before reaching a small street were Dal Biassanot sat. The restaurant itself is quiet and wholesome and seemed promising based on reviews and location alone. The inside was empty and not too charming so we opted to sit outside. Tables are set up close together so it's rather cozy. The vibe was casual nice and the crowd was a lot of older, diners who were more local that touristy. We dined on cheese tortellini and tagliatelle al ragu - both were delicious! It was very well made and given the portions left enough room for us to enjoy tiramisu. The service was good and orders were taken promptly. I would say if you are in the area and want quality pasta that won't break the bank, definitely stop by here! The location also earns this place a star as it is next to one of the few canals in Bologna (see my photo and video post!) which is fun to check out and is a nice walk away from both Piazza Maggiore and Parco della Montagnola.

Stumbled across this place on our first day in Bologna. Situation right next to the 'Secret Window' the food is fantastic and the service excellent! Ordered a bottle of Lambrusco to accompany our meal. Lots of cold meats/ cheese followed by Lasagna and Tiramasu. A great way to start our time in Bologna. Bit away from the city centre. But was packed and I can understand why! Great food great value

Awesome little trattoria quiet street in Bologna 10 min walk from Piazza Maggiorie , delicious handmade pastas and pork cutlet was superb.

Amazing is the first word that comes to mind. My wife and I sat outside, the weather was perfect and it complemented the beautiful outside seating. My wife ordered the ravioli with lemon and I had the wild boar with polenta. Everything was perfectly cooked and the service was just as good. If you are in Bologna, it is a must try. It's only five minutes north of piazza Maggiore and much better then the over priced tourist traps near the center. Enjoy, you will thank me!

They didn't have any tables outside so we were seated inside. Service (3.5/5): No WiFi unfortunately which isn't great for an international traveler like me. Standard European service. Not terribly friendly and not terribly efficient but I would say they were a bit more attentive than the norm. They did hook us up with some complimentary limoncello shots which was a really nice touch. Ambiance (3.5/5): A little quieter since it's off the beaten path which I like. A pleasant, homey restaurant. Drinks (4.5/5): We shared a bottle of wine. And the aforementioned limoncello shots. Food (4/5): We went with their pasta for two deal where each person gets three different types of pasta that you choose from six or so options.
