We came here for the giant charcuterie board, and were not disappointed! We waited outside right before opening and got seated immediately, and soon after it was quite busy inside. I loved how they had a bunch of different toast flavors spread amongst all the meats and cheeses, as well as fresh fruit. The chicken spread on toast was by far my favorite, and the mortadella was outstanding too. One of my new favorite cured meats! I'm not a huge cheese person but my friends like it. The plain bread on the side was also really good. Overall great experience!
Came here end of November 2025 and ordered sandwiches with prosciutto, and they were fresh, delicious, and well made. Ordered close to closing time in the evening and really enjoyed the food : )
Great location, pretty interior and exterior, and decent value. BUT you definitely can get better quality cheese and meats elsewhere. This was definitely catered to tourists. Pretty easy to go and navigate if you're an American lol.
Words can't describe how amazing La Prosciutteria was. While it presents as a bit of a gimmick, I promise you it's totally worth it. The quality of the food was unmatched. Everything was fresh and there was a huge variety of items to choose from. We tried a board and a sandwich paired with some of their house beer. The beer was perfect to wind down on a hot day. The board had a nice variety of meats, cheese, and an assortment of other delicious items. The sandwich was also unreal. The bread was light and fluffy and a great complement to the meat. The price was also extremely reasonable, they are not trying to gouge you at all. The restaurant itself is cute and cozy. Everyone was extremely kind to us and immediately accommodated even though we didn't have a reservation. They even brought us an extra side table for our food so we wouldn't be so cramped. The decor is eclectic with a wall of old sewing machines and tomato cans. I loved it. I can't wait to one day return
This is a fun spot if you're playing tourist in Bologna. They've got beautiful meat boards available with cheese and other treats. They've even got gluten free bread if that's a concern for you (although, it's not the best). We got a meat board with prosciutto, salami, mortadella, and another mystery meat we can't remember. Everything was delish except the mystery meat which was insanely salty. They've got free water available (!!!) and more on the menu beyond boards if that's what you're into. Overall, it was quick bite to eat but pleasant enough!
My friend and I agree we might have had the best sandwiches of our lives here. I got ham on mine, and she got mortadella with pistacchio. Mine was so fresh and perfectly creamy and crunchy at the same time. Don't be scared by the line outside- it moves fast, though indoor seating is limited. There are Italian and English menus, the servers speak both languages as well. Can't wait to be back!

You pay first and then they'll call your name when your order is ready. There's one gender neutral restroom available. My family got the sandwiches, while I opted for the lasagna. All of the options were tasty. The LA 8 and LA 11 are solid choices. The LA4 is good if you want a cured ham option. Service was friendly and quick.
The point being, despite the name, there is more than prosciutto here - you can get a host of tuscan salumi, formaggi, and vini, all of it good, and all of it guaranteed to make for an excellent evening. In particular, you can get some *stellar* lardo, and for those of you that are fans and haven't been able to get it in Bologna (because you didn't look hard enough), well, you *have* to go here (pay close attention to the wines - they have a small but excellent ever-changing selection of excellent drinking wines designed to go with the fare...)
Five stars! This is a fun place with a huge variety of interesting sandwiches and charcuterie offerings. It is very popular. When you arrive locate a table. There is seating inside, outside by the door and across the alley. At first the inside seating looks limited but they have a few rooms that you can't see from the door. The menus are inside by the register. Once you decide go to the counter and place your order. When your food is ready they call your name so you can pick it up. I'm not a fan of this type of ordering system but the food was great and I would definitely return. They offer beer and wine.
Porchetta take away La3. Amazing. If you are rushed for time this is the best option to experience the greatness.
I love this chain. Milano and Bologna, so far. OK, it is gimmicky. But the food is very good. We had the €20 meat & cheese platter. Plenty of food. San Claudio II Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, fruit & tannins, €29. The wine selection is quite good. Be prepared for the crowds as it very popular. + well lit - noisy - no toilet seat - the stools are cute and very uncomfortable €49 for dinner for 2

Amazing spot our hotel recommended for lunch, the team here has great service, has delicious food, and the restaurant has a very cool vibe to it (see the pictures). We ordered the meat and cheese plate - came with other items such as jams, eggplant, bread with different toppings-we loved it. Paired with a delicious white wine made the afternoon. There was a mix of locals and travelers in the restaurant so if the locals are eating there, you know it's good. Give it a try! read more
During a day of walking around Bologna center, we stopped by for a bite to eat. We ordered a board for two people (we were 4), sampled meats, fruits, and spreads. We enjoyed beer and wine and sat at a high top near the door. The place was busy, enjoyed the busy and rustic aesthetic, friendly and prompt service. The food was fresh, delicious, and the generous portion was perfect for the four of us. read more
Love love this location of this popular chain charcuteria. I could eat only here for the 8 days that we were in Bologna. One night we even popped back in for cocktails and simply enjoyed watching all the groups of locals having such a good time. The one in Navigli or Brera Milan were not as fun looking, this one is situated on a corner that juts out and has lovely outdoor seating. They have these signature little wood boxes to sit on and gigantic boards of meats & cheeses...fun fun. read more

What a find. Walking around between lunch and dinner and started to crave some cured meats. La Prosciutteria appeared - a Mirage? Oh heavenly building adorned with hanging meats? Oh no, it's the real deal! Sheparded through the choices by the meat tender behind the counter, all I can say is the 'small' will do you!! Portions are huge! Oh, and did I mention delicious? We were helped by an English-speaking employee who let us know that there were two kinds of boards, the 15 euro one having a superior variety of meats. We tried that one. I recognized all the meats, alas, so it wasn't the variety that I thought we'd get, but there was one mortadella that was so flavorful it was a religious experience. I found out that was mortadella with truffles. Oh my goodness. That was worth the extra 5 euros a piece. You get cheeses, fruit, breads (with a truffle spread, no less - no wonder I liked it!), a pot full of fresh bread slices, jam, a chestnut honey (I think it was - it was similar to one I had in France last year), pickled vegetables and olives. The glasses of lambrussco we got were a bit flat and flavorless and even the bottle of their prosecco wasn't that good. But it was certainly an enjoyable meal and the staff was very nice. Cute space with good music. This place appears to be a chain, with franchising available, but with local meats this good, does it really make a difference? read more

Amaaaaazing concept!! I love it. You walk in, go to the tiny counter, and ask for a menu. The very friendly English speaking guy will say, "no, no menu, I will explain." And he will show you the wooden boards hanging behind him. Basically, you choose the size of board you want (5, 10, or 15€ per person depending on the size) and then they will fill it with a wonderful array of breads spread with cheese or olive pate or tomato sauce, and charcuterie, cheeses, olives, and veggies. You can ask for fruit, too. They'll bring it out with a pot of bread, and you will be completely delighted. I wish the bread had been a little bit fresher, but it didn't matter unless you had a bite of it plain. read more

Wow. If there is one restaurant you must stop by in Bologna, this is it. Their meat trays are incredible!! The meat is fresh and incredible quality, the cheese phenomenal, and the spreads on the bread choices pair so well with the meats and cheese. We also picked up a sandwich with pork, sun-dried tomatoes, and cheese and saved it for dinner, our eyes were bigger than our stomach. It was also fantastic! A bit too fatty for my taste but still delicious! Absolutely must try! Pick up the lemonade soda - Italian style from the cooler while you're their as well. read more
This place is hopping! Clearly the place to visit when visiting Bologna. Stopped in here for meat and cheese, and boy did we pick the right place. The meat and cheese boards here are like the mother of meat and cheese boards. And the wine is a nice added touch. ;) We did not order the "prettiest" of the boards as some were so ornate, but nonetheless, the cheeses and meats were still tasty as ever. If you are in the mood for charcuterie, this is the place. On a final note, the Sangiovese pairs fantastically with everything, and is super cheap! read more

Quick tasty lunch for pig lovers. The counter people are nice. Wines by the glass at great. No seats on the backs make for a great mid-day break. We took a suggestion from another reviewer and ordered a mixed platter and a panini. I never knew I liked mortadella. Just a delight! read more
