The Ace Sign company has been a Springfield since the late 1800's. They got their start as a hand painted sign company and quickly transitioned to producing the neon signs of America's Golden Age. This space functions as a working sign factory, office, and museum. For a roadside sign to qualify for the museum, it must meet one of three criteria: 1. An Ace Sign production, 2. An original Route 66 roadside sign or 3. Springfield memorabilia. There was so much to see and learn. The museum tour is complimentary and definitely a stop to add to your list of places to visit during your visit to Springfield. Side Note: there is a Route 66 walk through at the State Fairgrounds. Ace Sign put this entire exhibit together. It gives a realistic depiction of the Great Highway.

My parents (84 and 81 years old) ordered and paid for a flag, pole and light, including…read moreinstallation, in mid MARCH. We have called several, several times. Cory gives us the run around every time, promises installation, even gave a date and time. Here it is, mid June and my parents still DO NOT have these items and services that they PAID FOR back in mid March. Cory even tried to make me feel guilty by telling me everyone there works full time elsewhere and they do this on a volunteer basis. Ok. Great! Volunteer or not, when someone (an elderly couple at that) pays for something, you should have the decency to fulfill the order or refund the money. $1500 is a lot of money to most people, especially elderly who are on a fixed income and just wanted a flag to fly in their yard. Sad. This is very sad to see.
