Bob and his son Chase do amazing work. All the work to be done was explained to me and watching them do the work was very interesting to me. Bob is a down to earth kind of guy that seems to be very honest in his work and commitments. They were able to route the system from my utility room into the garage and then up to and through the attic. He came back 6 days later to pick up his radon testing equipment and told me it was reading at 0.7. My initial test said 5.2 from a home inspector. We tested ourselves for Radon by buying a Radon testing device that was highly rated and found that our levels in the basement were up to 8.0 at various times. Anything above 4.0 in the U.S. is considered to be bad and needs immediate attention. Two of our neighbors had used Bob at Signature Radon Solutions and recommended him. He came and we talked about a couple of ways to fix the issue, eventually settling on running the pipe and fan through the garage. He was booked out about a month, but we decided to get on his list as he was highly recommended by our neighbors and I was impressed by his directness, knowledge and experience. He's been doing this awhile. He and his son came out on the scheduled date and spent the day doing the work he said they would do. Very impressed with what they did and how professional the installation looks. Best of all, that very evening my radon test device started indicating that the suction pipe was working and the Radon value kept going down and down. I recently listed my home for sale and during the home inspection an initial test reveled a high saturation count of radon gas. I started my due diligence of contacting local Radon Mitigation Experts in my area and obtained pricing information. One thing that I notice almost immediately upon speaking with Bob Hoaglin was that he asked questions no one else had asked. He took time with me to fully understand the home layout and any elements that needed to be considered. Also, out of the four other calls I had made to mitigation specialist he was the only one that was able to begin testing the very next day. Once, testing had been complete the results confirmed a radon gas removal system was necessary. Bob took the time to review the test results with me over the phone and discuss next steps. After our conversation he emailed me several detailed reports including the test itself, information regarding radon gas and health factors related to radon gas. He also sent me a proposal detailing the radon gas removal system requirements and cost. He also included a picture to show me what the system would look like from the exterior of the building. This made things so easy to submit to the HOA for approval. The overall cost to put in the radon gas removal system was extremely competitive compared to the other general quotes I had previously gotten over the phone. I shopped around a radon mitigation system a couple of years ago, but didn't decide to get one installed until recently. Bob Hoaglin was one of my first estimates and he was the first call I made when I wanted a system installed. Aside from being a genuinely kind person, he was extremely thorough in his evaluation of my home, noting concerns that no other contractor even mentioned. His communication through the process was great, letting me know in advance if he was running late. All this and he was also the lowest price in town! The day of the installation, he was on time and let me know exactly what was happening throughout the process. Other contractors wanted to route the vent pipe up the outside of the house, but Bob proposed a solution that hid the pipe in the corner of a closet and went up through the attic.
