I can honestly say that in 35 years, Wasatch Heat Cable is the most professional, polite, honest, upfront, and trustworthy group of people I've ever worked with as a whole. My sales rep, Kyler P. patiently held my hand through the entire process from bid to install, educated me on many nuances and details of the job (knew his stuff), was on site for much of the install to oversee that what I had requested/agreed upon was translated into action, and responded immediately to me anytime I texted him. Everyone that stepped foot on my property was respectful, neat, and tidy. They even used ladders with padded edges so my gutters didn't get scratched. I would highly suggest using this company and trust them completely! They might not be the cheapest, but Kyler worked with me to find affordable options and even scouted out new snow rail options when I requested a lower price option...and the slightly higher price was worth it for the end result and peace of mind. Put up the 50% deposit. Waited 3 weeks for an install date. That date came and went with no one showing to install. I learned long ago not to pay with cash or check for contractors. American Express has credited my account and has disputed the charge with Wasatch Heat Cable. If you decide to use this company, good luck. Be sure to use a credit card with fraud protection. They came to install and said the quote they had given me was wrong and they had to rewrite it. After I had to call and remind them for a new quote, it came back more than double the orig. price. got a quote from Wasatch, and a couple of other companies to compare pricing, and Wasatch is the most expensive quote we got. When calling to discuss some options, they did not seem as thorough, or as knowledgeable as some of the other companies I've called. I wish I read the reviews for Wasatch Heat Cable before spending 5K. I called them in May to fix the cable they installed a few years ago (it's triggering the breaker as soon as it gets wet). It's a 250$ service call even with a 10-year warranty. I called them in May so I would be sure to have functioning cable this winter. Since it was dry, the breaker didn't snap off -- instead of wetting it down with the hose, which he should have had me do, the tech TOLD ME to call during early autumn with a light snow, and he would come back (no extra charge) to fix the problem. He DID put a note in the file, but I cannot get past the women in the scheduling office. They will "schedule" an appointment 4 weeks out at the end of December. Maybe there will be 3 feet of ice and snow on the cable, who knows, maybe there will be nothing. How do they plan to fix the problem without being able to ensure the conditions that cause the problem. At this point, I think the company may be trying to run out the time on my warranty. If I had to guess, I'd say I'll be going through the entire winter without functioning heat cable. read more

Our friends recommended Wasatch Heat Cable and we spent $6,000+ having heat cable installed on our roof and down our rain spouts in November. The first snow hit and it does not work! We have called and tried to troubleshoot. It was over a week before they could come out. Then they no called no showed for the appointment. When we followed up they said it would be another week before they could come out. Terrible service, and very dissatisfied. We have spent a lot of money for a product that does not work and the company seemed not interested in resolving the issue!! read more
