This is a great little airport that services private aviation. Inside is very clean and comfortable, and staff is extremely friendly. The building and parking is small comparable to other small private airports, but this is great and has all the amenities you need. Their runways are always clear, I have not have had issues when flying in and out during the winter time.

There were a lot of delays and cancellations due to weather, so they did have a waitlist sign towards the front to be able to easily join the waitlist from your phone. Since it was just me, myself, and I...my total wait was 2 mins, I barely made it to sit down in the food court area when I got the text. It was super easy to scan in my lounge pass, boarding pass, then grab a seat. Not a huge lounge, but lots of outlets, WiFi, different types of seating. A few different options including, bowl of fruit, toast, oatmeal, pancakes, egg mixture. I did enjoy the spa water. They also have 2 restrooms and a bar in there. I'm crazy and brought avocados with me from home because I didn't want them to die while I was traveling; made for a nice accompaniment for their egg mixture.

I do think they need a little more crowd control, let people wait a little longer rather than cram everyone in. The menu is the same menu as other The Club locations, as I found out that day visiting multiple lounges. Just a couple of soups, salad bar, and dessert. I did have a brownie that somehow they had themed Chicago, and I will say it was an excellent brownie. The bathrooms are also far too few and cramped. Someone had cleared my drink away while I was in the bathroom. Understandable but this just seemed like a really chaotic place. I left quickly because the inside of the lounge seemed more cramped and busy compared to out in the terminal.

Well... consider me officially humbled…read more We just landed at Chicago Midway, and I was fully prepared for a gritty, chaotic, "hold your breath and guard your belongings" kind of situation. You know--the airport equivalent of a questionable gas station at 2am. I had mentally braced myself. And yet... here I am, blinking in disbelief. Because it's... clean. Like, actually clean. Organized. Calm, even. People aren't sprinting in panic or forming mysterious, aggressive clusters around nothing. The floors aren't sticky. No ominous smells lurking in corners. It's all very... civilized. Almost suspiciously so. I kept waiting for the catch--like maybe I'd turn a corner and suddenly enter the chaos dimension I had prepared for--but nope. Just more order. More efficiency. More... pleasantness? Honestly, I don't know who's in charge here, but they clearly didn't get the memo about my expectations. So yes, Chicago Midway: you've managed to do the unthinkable--be better than the story I made up in my head. Rude, honestly. I was ready to complain.

When you get past the security, you enter a good sized lounge with plenty of food and drinks. Interestingly, every food item is labeled and the labels let you know about any allergens in that item. They also have a stocked bar with various liquors as well as beer and wine. Everything was good. I tried everything I could so the list is long and, frankly, I don't remember everything I ate. All I can tell you is the food was very good. There is plenty of seating, so unless they have a lot of flights going on, you can find a seat. The seating was comfortable and we took a table by the food which we frequented... The wine selection was much better than I expected and I enjoyed some Pinot Noir. This was a great experience - one we don't take advantage of often. So, what I can tell you is it is much, much better than sitting at the gate. :)

There are four Framery privacy pods. Two with adjustable seats and desk tops and two without seats in a stand up desk configuration. These pods are quiet and have charging capability (1 USB-C and 1 115V). Overhead lighting is fully adjustable along with the front facing lighting for video conference calls. There is also an adjustment for the ventilation fan however I have found that, even on the highest setting, they can get warm. There are most of the same food options as the F9 location but on a smaller scale. There are self-serve options for soft drinks and coffee. In lieu of a tended bar, there is a self-serve bar with an assortment of juices, wines and beers. Like most United Clubs, there isn't a whole lot of interaction with the staff. That said, they all seem friendly enough and this location is clean and well maintained. Would I go back? I've actually been to this location a few times now and like it. So far, it's a quieter alternative to some of the other locations.

While the clubs used to be spacious with decent food and drink offerings and excellent service, the clubs have become much busier with fewer seats available and average food and drink options. It seems that everyone has access to an Admirals Club nowadays and brings their entire families. With that said, this particular lounge is one of the largest locations I have been in, and there are many places within the lounge to relax, do work, grab a snack, or anything else. In fact, for such a large lounge, there were surprisingly open seats here and there where I'm used to smaller lounges without any open seats. There is comfortable seating as well as bar seating and table seating. Also over the last year, I've begun to see the efforts made to improve the Admirals Club membership which includes complimentary hot food throughout the day from soups, Mac and Cheese, sandwiches, meatballs, and breakfast items (not all at once though). There are charcuterie offerings, dessert trays, a salad bar, hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and then house drinks. You can pay more for premium drinks and prepared meals. Access to the lounge is easy to get whether through the Citi Executive World Mastercard with free access for you and up to two guests. You can also pay $175 for up to three authorized users each receiving their own lounge access (with up to two guests). Also, One World alliance flyers with a certain status can access Admirals Clubs. There are also Flagship Lounge and Flagship First Dining locations, which offer much more than just Admirals Clubs. I'm confident that making it easy to get Admirals Club memberships has led to lounges being overcrowded though now that you have to pay for authorized users instead of getting them for free in recent years, that may help. You can also redeem AAdvantage miles for membership or access to the Admirals Club. This specific lounge is also connected to the Flagship Lounge, which is a special elevated American Airlines lounge complete with Flagship Dining options. I look forward to testing this out sooner than later on a future layover at ORD.

I appreciated the option of oat milk for the coffee area due to having lactose intolerance. There's also two bars in the lounge - we didn't partake in any alcohol. American Express and Capital one lounges finally have some competition! I love how spacious this place is and not crowded! Bathrooms and showers here never disappoint! We love the vibes here. Completely better with all these remodel! Food- 10/10 upgrade!!! The food here makes United Polaris SFO look embarrassing. I recall eating off of paper plates last year at the SFO Polaris lounge which was depressing. The dining room looks like it can accommodate more people than before and it looks so much more classier. We got the Polaris burger, potato soup, shrimp fritter, arancini. Here what I rate them below: Shrimp fritter- 8/10. Yum! Love the presentation. Fritter was perfect. Shrimp pieces were present. Potato soup-8/10 light and refreshing. Need a bit salt. Polaris burger-10/10 short rib burger. Must try here. I could have ate 3 of these. Fries need to just be like normal fries...3 rectangle potatoes didn't mash well with the amazing burger. Like just get normal skinny frites or Curley fries. arancini- 10/10. Perfect. Not too heavy! Cookie skillet- 10/10. Don't get anything else. Strawberry tart- 4/10- the tart was too hard. Need a softer base. Bundt cake- 11/10. Thank you chef for your mom's recipe. Best Bundt cake to mark 100 years. They also had a holiday special for Easter which I never seen in a lounge. They had someone carve lamb and served veggies & potatoes! Yummmm. Lamb was tender but bit dry. Still good. Mash potatoes were perfect. I love how there was a staff passing out drinks and mini pastries. Overall, completely different lounge! Service is top notch here. Michael took good care of us at the dining room. Food came out pretty fast. Happy 100th anniversary United Airlines! We are forever loyal to you if you keep this up.
