Lounge Area

Not what I'd expect of a first class lounge... The food options are not bad, but they are severely understaffed so it is difficult to order specialty items and drink and most tables go unbussed (it appears they only have one staff member to fulfill all three of these tasks). The lounge is also extremely tiny, so it can get crowded quickly. Also, the bathrooms only have two stalls and are in need of some repair. The staff that I've encountered was friendly and efficient; there just needs to be more.

It has been upgraded to POLARIS lounge and its the first Polaris lounge in US! I rate this to be the best airport lounge in US with its food, service and open space. They have a la carte or buffet options lots of fresh vegetables and fruits available. Enjoy...

First time trying out this lounge and it is a bit hard to find. I guess it helps keep away the peasants? Although I consider myself a peasant as well, but sometimes the gates of luck open for us lowly people. I first took in the fact that this lounge isn't anything better than the business class - although the appetizers are a bit abundant in choices example sushi, shrimp cocktail, etc. The chairs are comfy and the complimentary Ghiardelli are nice. I would recommend this lounge if you want a bit more peace and quiet.

Flying out from Chicago to non ya business lol it was fun and short live chi- town connecting flights aren't that bad lol

Pretty relaxing. Less crowded than the lounge in Terminal B. The food spread was good. Polite staff. No complains.

Nice smaller alternative with great features…read more This new United Club in Terminal 2, Concourse E, Near Gate E7 is not to be confused with the larger and older United Club in Concourse F, Across from Gate 9. There are four Framery privacy pods. Two with adjustable seats and desk tops and two without seats in a stand up desk configuration. These pods are quiet and have charging capability (1 USB-C and 1 115V). Overhead lighting is fully adjustable along with the front facing lighting for video conference calls. There is also an adjustment for the ventilation fan however I have found that, even on the highest setting, they can get warm. There are most of the same food options as the F9 location but on a smaller scale. There are self-serve options for soft drinks and coffee. In lieu of a tended bar, there is a self-serve bar with an assortment of juices, wines and beers. Like most United Clubs, there isn't a whole lot of interaction with the staff. That said, they all seem friendly enough and this location is clean and well maintained. Would I go back? I've actually been to this location a few times now and like it. So far, it's a quieter alternative to some of the other locations.

It is a long narrow space where the front is less used since refreshments are at the far end. Finger foods like canapés, sandwiches and wraps are set out on a sideboard. Alcohol is limited to self service beer and wine in an adjacent room. No mixed drinks are on offer here. There are different seating arrangements including phone booth like cubes for more private phone conversation. This new lounge takes the load off the one near F9 and has a more tranquil vibe than the packed elbow to elbow ones in Terminal 1.

As far as airport lounges go, this one's okay The main thing to know is that it is a very-very…read morelarge lounge. The reason this lounge was designed as such a large space is due to the fact that there's a lot of people in here. That's just something to keep in mind as a basis for your understanding. In terms of design, this lounge has various types of seating. They have the more comfortable chairs located throughout the various rooms at this lounge. They also have numerous seats that are associated with tables. This is probably best for people like myself, who enjoyed grabbing a quick snack, and having a drink, before it's time to board the aircraft. They also have long desks with charging ports set up for those who want to get some work done. Plus, there are some self-standing seats spread out throughout the lounge area. In terms of food offerings, they have food buffets on two ends of the lounge. Both of these buffets offer a unique blending of Quick-Food, as I like to call it. Is pretty good. I will say, that I've never been disappointed in what they offer. You can always find something to suit your pallet. In terms of drinks, they have drink offerings at both ends of the lounge, as well, in association with the food buffets. There, you can get your expected soft drinks, coffee, and water. If you want alcoholic beverages, you have to go down to the one end of the lounge, where they have a bar. There, they generally have two bartenders. Each of which is happy to give you whatever you want. They often mix drinks, beers, wine, and all that kind of stuff. Many of the drinks are all free. But, if they are, be sure to throw the bartenders a tip. I think that's an important gesture. Some people decide to sit along the bar while they enjoy their drinks. I guess they are just type of people who enjoying hanging out at bars. I don't find out all that comfortable, or appealing, as you're basically elbow-to-elbow with somebody, you don't really know. But, that's just my personal opinion. If I have one complaint about this lounge, it's the fact that it's not really set up for the first class domestic passengers on United. Whereas, is you are flying internationally on United, they use the Star Alliance lounges that are specifically designed for its first and business class passengers. In terms of this lounge, pretty much anybody can get into it, simply by paying a sixty dollar fee. Thus, you get a whole lot of people, Just overwhelming space, without a lot of decorum. Overall, I've been in much better lounges, and I've been in a lot worse lounges around the globe. There's not much to complain about this place, you just have to expect that there's gonna be a lot of people. I have seen it at times midday, when people can't even find a single seat to sit in. So, just keep this in mind.

This is my first experience with an airport lounge, and frankly, I could get used to this! That said, while markedly nicer than waiting by the gate, the experience wasn't perfect. There is free food, coffee, and Coke products available. The food involved a hot entree, a couple sandwiches, soups, salads, snacks, nibbles, and desserts. There is also coffee, espresso beverages, and a Coke machine. The quality of the items was adequate. Since airports aren't usually gourmet destinations, I happily devoured everything on my plate. Happy that one is not relegated to McDonald's and can opt for something healthier.a Speaking of which, while you are free to go up as many times as you wish, the plates and cups are very small, needing several visits for those like myself, who have a black hole within their stomachs. Perhaps this is to encourage people to keep their goodies in the lounge, rather than take 16oz coffee cups onto planes. It would still be nice to have larger plates, so I save my steps for the terminals rather than making repeated trips to the buffet... especially since I don't want to leave my property unattended. In terms of the lounge itself, everything was very clean. There is ample seating, and there should be a spot available, but expect to share the lounge with many others. While both the armchairs and [high] chairs are firmer than I'd like, they do beat out terminal seating overall. Also, while not needed by me, I respect that they have "phone rooms" for those who may need to take a private phone call or attend a work meeting. A private room is more for you, though, as the lounge is more chill, without the hustle and bustle of the terminal. Finally, there are plenty of outlets throughout, and the WiFi is faster by miles. All the staffers in the lounge, from those who check you in, to the bartender, to those keeping everything bussed and clean were fantastic! I was about to dust my hands off and leave four stars... that was until I realized that they have an open bar! There's nothing like starting a trip with a drink to get in the mood. Sure, it isn't really free being included with the ticket price, but if I'm already paying for airfare, not having to pay $20 for a small and weak drink is a phenomenal bonus. Last but certainly not least are the restrooms: These were much cleaner and nicer than the rest of the airport. Think of a nicer mall as opposed to "airport." Final verdict: I can now see why lounge access is such a wonderful perk of either non-economy seats or certain credit cards. I love airports because of my love for travel and airplanes, not so much everything else. The United Club is great for making that which stands between TSA and being in the air more pleasant.
