I like Dr Kumar he is great he explains all to me and I like that. What I do not like is the medical tech that i had this time she made me nervous. When she did the eye test I said to her Miss I can not see those tiny letters, after a while she cleans the lens of the machine. and I told her I still can not read those small letters. after I read the eye chart too I told her the tiniest of letters too small. I do not like that she makes me strain my eyes. I deal with cataracts and she wanted me to strain no thank you. I will go there only for Dr. Kumar but I want another person from his staff. read more

This used to be an eye care office that cared and listened to their patients. Now you are a customer and get treated like cattle. Every question you may have about your care will get routed into a fee and God forbid you use a credit card an additional surcharge. It's the only medical facility that charges a credit card surcharge in my list of doctors, but then again if they're treating you like a sucker why not grab every penny out of you. Dr Sforza is excellent. However is is forced to work with incompetent, rude staff. My special needs eleven year old granddaughter was treated with such disinterest by one of the female techs my daughter will not return. Appointments are scheduled so close together that you wait in a separate room for up to an hour. I would suggest they post a sign that phone calls ought to be taken outside the office. Some patients are so loud. Dr. Sforza assistants are wonderful, professional and courteous. read more

Terrible service from the staff. I am looking for a new Ophthalmologist, hopefully one that might actually see his patient.

This Little Neck office is run terribly. People stand around talking to each other and don't accomplish anything. If you call there you will NEVER get a response no matter how many times you have called. I thought Dr.Sforza was quite intelligent and thorough but I could never consider him doing my cataract surgery as he is supposed to be the master of his office and it's a disaster. Dr. Sforza is excellent. The surgical coordinator Andrea is so accommodating and knowledgeable. However I cannot say that about the office staff. I'm 80 so they think I'm deaf and they shout at me. I'm not deaf. The tech says follow me and walks away before I'm even up from the chair. I walk with a cane and didn't see where she went. She could have waited a second or two for me. The office manager needs better training in managing an office. read more

MY COMMENTS ARE DIRECTED TOWARD SIGHT MD IN GENERAL AND WHATEVER LITTLE NECK DEPT. IS RECEIVING MY PHONE MESSAGES BUT NOT RESPONDING. THE REVIEW IS NOT DIRECTED AT THE DOCTORS, TECHNICIANS OR FRONT OFFICE PERSONNEL, WHO ARE NOT GETTING MY CALLS. Were I to write a review about the fine doctors at the Little Neck office I would give them a five. However, I am writing about the entire communication operation of this company. I have now made five attempts to contact my local office just for a copy of a prescription. Each time I call I reach some central office and the individual either promises to send a message to my office in Little Neck or puts me through to what ultimately is another recording. ​ I am promised a return phone call that day without receiving a call. The individuals answering the phone tell me they will pass on messages but somehow either they are not or the messages are just ignored. Over the past week- I have made five attempts to contact my office and as of now no one has responded. This company needs to do a better job. Fortunately the doctors are outstanding because the company at large is not. In the future, instead of sending the reminders 4 months before my appointment please work on timely responses to patients. This has been extremely frustrating, especially since the people pledging to help me ask me to calm down because they will rectify the situation. I am still waiting. read more

When you go to the right place you don't mind getting your eyes checked! This location is very convenient and parking available. I was able to book my appointment on line and fill out all the paperwork online. Was in and out in less than an hour and that includes the time waiting for my eyes to be dilated. Dr has great bedside manner and was quick and efficient. I was even able to get my prescription without having to pay extra like other offices. Definitely will be using them from now on for my yearly checkups. read more

My Dad has been a patient of both physicians at this practice. He started with Dr. Gold but we decided to switch to Dr. Sforza due to Dr. Gold being extremely abrasive and rude to my dad who has dementia and is often confused. Because we love the staff, we decided to stay with the practice and try Dr. Sforza instead. While he was pleasant toward my dad, he was extremely explosive toward his staff. I'm not sure what was going on in the office but he was VERY upset about it. He even flung a bottle of eye drops across the room!! My dad and I have not been back to this practice since the incident, as it shook my father up alot. This place is NOT even worth 1 star after what my father and I have been experienced. read more

Hands down the best medical care I've had in I don't know how long, and definitely the best eye care. When I thought I was having an eye emergency, this wonderful office responded to my message incredibly fast, and scheduled me in that same day (even as a brand new patient), and were even flexible with when I was able to come in. Very nice receptionists and staff, and Dr. Gold was uniquely warm and reassuring about my concerns. Despite the unlikelihood something serious had happened, he still did a very thorough exam in both eyes and completely put me at ease. Will definitely pursue regular ongoing care with this office!! Wait time to see the doctor is horrible. Their electronic prescription system has been down for 2 months and why would they not get this fixed? They call in your prescription to your pharmacy and if the pharmacy does not carry it, you have to hunt down yourself another pharmacy that does carry it. Once you do find the pharmacy that does carry you have to then call them back to have them push it to the pharmacy that does have it. Mind you that is only if you get a live person on the phone or else you will have to leave a voicemail. Basically the liaison between the doctor office and pharmacy is YOU! The back and forth is exhausting and waste of time. Find yourself another doctor office that is better coordinated and better tech staffed. read more

SIGHT MD ( I only know the location in Douglaston/Little Neck) is amazing. I have been a patient of DR SFORZA since the early 2000's, prior to his merging into the SightMD family... Dr SFORZA saved my eyesight on 2 occasions (Iritis attacks) and is just the most compassionate and thorough doctor. He explains everything and takes the time to answer all your concerns/questions. ( I have seen other Sight MD doctors during emergency appointments, and they are wonderful, too.. I'm just loyal to Dr Sforza!) And the staff at the Little Neck Sight MD are kind, helpful and all through the craziness of the past 3 years with covid and the changes/adjustments we all had to make, they stayed the course and always managed to keep the office running smoothly, and with smiles on their faces! They all work well together. Now, if you have to have an eye surgery ( such as a cataract or even lasik) THIS IS THE PLACE!! EVERY STEP OF THE WAY from preparing for surgery, medical testing, etc., you are guided by the SURGICAL CO-ORDINATOR, ANDREA EBERT. OMG, ANDREA deserves a medal for her patience, kindness, and professionalism to deal with the patients and the paperwork/appointments, etc. to prepare for surgery. She makes it SO EASY for the patient to navigate all the steps. I , personally, must have driven her crazy with all my questions, and yet, with a smile on her face, or while on the phone or email, she never missed a beat; she was a bright spot . My appt was at 11:00am, it's now 12:19 and have yet to see the doctor. I understand there are doctors office delays but an 1:20 minutes delay is ridiculous. This is not how you run an office. I will never return to this establishment. I suggest you don't either. read more

I highly discourage anyone from visiting SightMD for any complicated procedure. Note: I do not believe in writing negative reviews about doctors. I have best friends who are doctors, and close family members who are doctors. I know how hard doctors work. Doctors sacrifice their youth for their education, and a major portion of the life in order to help patients. But maybe SightMD has lost track of that vision. There was a major complication to my surgery. Initially the doctor was apologetic and sincere. As time went on, and as the complication failed to resolve, I had more questions during my follow up appointments. The doctor started to become antagonistic, aggressive and snappy with his responses. No way to treat a patient who's been through a traumatic complication. He should be kind, patient, and answer every question thoroughly, even if he has to answer the same question more than once. The doctor involved with my procedure is smart, but he is not kind, nor empathetic. He should not be involved with patient care. SightMD should not be in business, based on their many poor reviews all over the Internet. The theme is consistent. They are good to you before procedures. They are not good to you after they have your money. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Gray Franklin Spitz for about 35 years. I is a wonderful caring doctor who I can recommend without reservations. I came to meet Dr Spitz many years ago when he helped me through very difficult times where I had lost vision in one eye. With his compassionate help, I regained my sight. I am now retired and live 250 miles north of NYC and continue to see Dr Spitz annually. I believe this indicates my faith in Dr Spitz's untiring dedication to his profession. read more

I saw Dr. Sforza for a second opinion last week regarding a rare eye condition (keratoconus) that I have. I was extremely pleased with how I was treated and how much time he spent explaining everything to me. As a healthcare professional myself, I know how tough it can be to be a good practitioner due to extensive documentation requirements and pressure from big companies to overbook schedules. I didn't once feel like he was in a rush or distracted. He went out of his way to help me find someone who would be able to perform a specific procedure I need. My mom is Dr. Paul Sforza patient. She likes him as her doctor. We've been seeing him for about 8 years now since her surgery. He's very polite and attentive. His staff is nice as well. The office is always clean as is the restroom. He's moved locations a few times but this location is good. Parking can be a challenge. The only true negative comment is the wait time. On average our wait time has been waiting at MINIMUM an additional 30 minutes AFTER the appointment time. That definitely needs working on. read more

Dr. Gold is wonderful. However, getting in touch with anyone by phone is almost impossible. No matter when I call, I am told that everyone is busy and am free to leave a voice mail and someone will call me back. This often takes a day or two, when all I have is a simple question. If it is so difficult to get in touch with a person who can address my simple needs, I wonder what would happen if I had a question requiring an immediate response. read more
