DISAPPOINTED AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND…read more RICARDO MURILLO reached out to us as we were trying ot back-fill our ravine behind our property. He said he had tons and tons of conrete fill, and asked that we rent him a Bobcat. First we rented him a Bobcat for a 1-day rental. They came back the next day but FORGOT THE KEYS to their truck. We had to pay extra money to get the rental company to come pick-up the bobcat. They left their dump truck on our property for a week. Second, when they finally came back RICARDO asked for us to rent him a DINGO so that they can finish the job pushing the concrete fill. BUT, he used the dingo at other jobs for 3 DAYS BEFORE COMING TO OUR PROPERTY. He tore up half our yard in the process. It's been 3 MONTHS in trying to get him to come back --- our yard looks like crap, and the concrete still sits there and is so unsightly. I've asked him to reimbuse for the 3 days he did NOT use the equipment at our place ($850+) and he keeps giving me the run around. He also went on and on about giving us free material if this and that, but as someone said in another review, I don't think he remembers scope or what he told us previously very well. He hardly returned calls or texts. Or he would give some fluff about "he'll come tomorrow" but no-showed. We trusted him and were patient, but now it's just ridiculous and very disappointing. This has been such a headache for us and now have to spend more money to try and fix the problems they created.

After living in my new construction house, my wife and I decided that it was finally time to get a…read morebackyard patio. All we saw was a bare backyard with a lot of green grass with some weeds. We did have some "wants" on our list which included a natural gas firepit, natural gas line for grill, seating for ~6-8 people, and enough room for entertain with some food, drinks, and a nice place to relax. From the start to the finish, Grant and Power was completely different than the other companies. Other locations just met you outside, what you wanted, and how big. Then we got a quote. However, when I contacted Grant and Powers, they started out with an email with some essential information like their insurance, a pamphlet and other information to get us started. We talked about what we were looking and then waited for our appointment Our appointment was different. Instead of going outside and talking about size... Gene sat us down to talk to us. He wanted to know what we wanted, what we were looking for and what we wanted to spend. We told him about how we were going to use the space and what we wanted and gave him our budget. Afterwards we talked about modern trends and what designs are in/out, how we wanted to place everything. Then off he went with the rest of the team to start designing it after a small down payment. He asked about budget and we talked about how much it might cost, but of course, the final bill could vary depending on the design. A few weeks later, we had another appointment where he showed us the design and it was amazing. They really sat down and listened to what we wanted because it looked amazing. The budget was completely out of our range.. granted, we knew our budget was on the low side of things, but they were willing to work with us to make this affordable. Finally, our day arrived. We got a call the night before that they were arriving in the morning to get started. During the process, the team were good...i would give them a 4.5/5 for a few minor things. They did talk to us a few times but I wish we were updated better. They were good about protecting our lawn even though some areas did suffer. Luckily (For us and them), our backyard had nothing out there. It was just bare land with green-ish grass. From start to finish, they were done in a week. We waited an extra day for another group of guys to show up to set up the firepit and show us how to use it. They were in and out fairly quickly. In the end, we got a beautiful patio. One section to entertain/eat. The other area is for the firepit and grill. Due to the design, they both feel separate from each other. We did find some minor damages that the team did not let me know or Gene. But he is going out of his way to making it right and I appreciate it. Ive had some neighbors stop by to marvel at the patio. Overall, if I were to ever move away, I would go back to this company to design a beautiful space again. I would completely recommend this company if you are looking for the same.

Scheduling was easy, they got right to work. When there were issues, Shawn was in touch immediately and the issues were resolved often before we even realized they existed. The patio and retaining wall are gorgeous! The steps out to the yard, and the stoop from the house are a HUGE improvement over what we had before, and all done for a very reasonable price, especially since we did shop around. Needless to say, we love our new backyard and hubby even says he now has room for more grills! We have no complaints; the workmanship, value, and communication were all outstanding.

This company refused to complete our three 3d renderings because we were so disappointed, shocked,…read moreand had safety concerns about the first rendering. Kristen, the wife of the owner, became belligerent, threatening us with a lawsuit if we reviewed them. They have only done one rendering, refusing to comply with a signed contract to complete the next two that are in the contract. They also refuse to reimburse any of the $699 we paid, even though they refuse to complete what was agreed upon in the signed contract. The BBB took this complaint, but as this company has done with the other complaints, they refuse to respond. I would stay clear of this company. The first rendering did not have proper posts that would even support the deck we wanted built. It looked like a kid did the rendering and they said it was because it was the first one. Well, I expected the first one to knock us off our feet since it was $699 and that it would only need a few tweaks. Instead it raised red flags. They should have been embarrassed to send it to us. Also, need to mention that Kristen inflates the price unjustifiably. Also wanted to note that it is not illegal to write a review of a company.

I have to question the positive reviews of Decked Out Builders LLC and here is why:…read more First, reviews are very short with at most a few sentences, there is no detail. Second, reviews are brimming over with superlatives like "very responsive", "amazing company", "could not be happier", "transforming our old deck into a masterpiece!", "They pride themselves in QUALITY work and it shows!" (notice the exclamation points for grandiosity). The "reviews" are a bit too positive to reflect the real world. NOTE that "could not be happier" vernacular was used in 2 reviews - Brian W. Oct 5, 2022 (San Francisco ? ? ?), and Jennifer B May 22, 2022 - which is pretty suspicious, perhaps written by Kristen Miller Bull Valley IL. Third, statements totally contradict my experience, like "Kristen and Tony were very responsive in answering all of our questions" where my experience was the exact opposite. "The entire process was smooth", while our reality was opposite because it was like pulling teeth with Kristen, "Incredibly helpful in making design choices", which is the real world means very high-priced add-ons that empty your wallet. Fourth, the "rah, rah" statements like "Don't hesitate and call Decked Out Builders for your next home project." which are over the top. and once again, use of the same vernacular by another "review" which said "Don't hesitate to call them!" Jennifer B who used the same vernacular as Mike R. NOTE: Through use of repetitive comments it appears that Brian W, Jennifer B, and Mike R are likely all the same person, or written by one. A scam has been presented to Yelp by one person impersonating others for the purpose of pumping up the reviews. Even if it occurred on 3 different accounts the writing was by one person. No company gets all positive reviews because that doesn't reflect society.
