And like all facilities, maintenance and renovations could be made accordingly to enhance the customer/member experience! However, after visiting and being treated so very well by upper management/supervision... it's this line staff who is just not up to par. The reception/front desk seriously has areas for improvement! As, they require coaching on how they speak, use facial expressions, and overall usage their body language to interact. Who are you to police and act poorly, roll eyes, and talk disparagingly about the customer when they walk away? Further far too much chit chat at the front desk, where is the busy work and checklists? Unfortunately, it's the ladies working from 4:00pm til closing at the front desk who have these attitudes. Really not acceptable! Call out if you are in a bad mood! Also management, if you have different hours i.e. your summer and winter hours, your line staff, front desk "concierge"should be advising this politely and always ready to greet the customer or member with warmth and respect. Not, "appeared bothered or annoyed " to have to do their job they receive a paycheck for!

I've tried to swim at 6am. Nobody showers before getting into the water.. you cam smell all the Bengay and other sprays and ointments... not sure why the swim team has to swim so late. Don't the kids get out of school at 3 or 4 pm?

We're all water babies, aren't we?…read more I've been watching my little girl, Iris, shiver and chatter her tiny teeth, blue-lipped, for the better half of the summer at this pool. That's because it's pretty darn cold in these waters, which was the case in my High School pool, true of all school pools across the country. And while I'd prefer the hypothesis that the temperature is directly related to budgeting, me thinks it actually has more to do with a certain unspoken swimmer's code: wussies not invited. Yeah, you'll suffer the initial plunge, but if you're dedicated, you can stay plenty warm by your own volition. So here's your warning, wussy. These waters aren't for the faint of heart. Every kid in New Mexico should learn to swim. Valley offers some great classes at friendly prices taught by, well, you guessed it, teenagers who know how to swim and double as lifeguards, and adults are invited, too. Overall, the instruction has been effective, but it's regimented and somewhat baselined, so if you have some experience in the water already, go ahead and sign up for a class that might challenge you, otherwise you'll be stuck with, well, New Mexican swimmers, er, drowners. Don't hesitate to sign up for the next level. The facility, aside from the chilly H2O, is unusual via ABQ standards. Sort of an A-Frame, the bones are wooden, the ceiling is high, and there's plenty of free swimming. About two-thirds of the main pool is dedicated to lap swimming. A second (smaller) diving pool is a great learning spot for the adventurous. And a third pool for little bitty kids is located outside, under the burnin' sun, a wading pool. Slap sunscreen all over your zombie before he/she enters, that heat is intense.

I would say probably 3.5 stars would be most accurate. To make it easy for you to make a choice…read moreI'll just give pros and cons. Pros: staff is super friendly and offer quick text service Location for our event was great we walked everywhere and felt safe, they have lots of security The vibes and remodel is nice, and they have an onsite restaurant Price point was very fair (we didn't use parking) Cons: The hotel was nowhere near capacity and they gave us a room looking at the parking lot, they should fill those looking at the pool first The towels are small and thin and they come with a total of 2 sets, we asked for more and they gave 1 set (be clear with requests) Housekeeping is only offered when asked but they do not tell you that until you ask for it (luckily they fit us in and I didn't have to push) The bathroom door is so hard to open and there's only one trash can in each room As someone else said it's super LOUD on weekends it's literally like cars are drag racing All of that being said I would stay here again and just make sure to request the room location, extra towels and utilize the ear plugs that are in the bathroom. They put a lot of effort into attracting guests and it's appreciated.

DO NOT book here if you plan on staying for more than one day !!!!!!…read moremy partner and i stayed here for 4 days and i wish i would of booked somewhere different. We came from a 2 day drive from Texas (so we are not familiar with the area). The first thing that was the first warning was looking for parking,,, when we asked, we got told that we could either pay for valet parking that was $25 a day or use public parking that had pay meters. The public parking had indications of cars being broken into with broken glass all over which obviously pressured us into paying valet for 4 nights which cost us an extra 100 dollars that we weren't aware of. However, the valet parking was ironically the best experience of the stay because they were very friendly and helpful!!! :-) Another thing was also the housekeeping. As someone who would frequently book hotel chains like Days Inn, this hotel would make you request housekeeping a day before which i found inconvenient and strange but it was nothing to tell home about. Until......we requested room service a day before like they had said.... and they did not show up...... :-( We went to the lobby to tell the front desk and he was nice about it and helped us out :-) The next day we were out all day and when we came back our restroom looked different... that's when we realized they had done "housekeeping" while we were gone (mind you we did not re-request housekeeping). It was strange because it was so minuscule that it gave off the impression that they didn't want it to seem like anyone was there. It was only replacing the towels and taking out the trash with the rest of the room untouched (from my past experience of hotels they usually make the bed, replace amenities, and take out the trash,,,, basically making it known they did room service). Lastly, although it is out of their control, the location was not great either. I read other reviews and people talked about how great the location was but, I feel different. The location itself was surrounded by restaurants and bars and right next to route 66 but, the reviews failed to mention there was a lot of homeless people around,, especially in the park that was next to the public parking. This made us feel unsafe and kind of detour us from exploring the area. Overall I can see how it would be a nice place to stay for one day but, if you plan on staying more than that I would highly encourage you to find somewhere else.
