Then, at 6:30 pm, you have four lanes devoted for lap swimming, however, two of these lanes are issued to a high school team which is supervised by a coach. So the truth is that from 6:30 pm to 8pm you offer 2 lanes for city lap swimming; unfortunately, that's not all. I spoke with David this evening who identified himself as the supervisor for the pool area; he is a respectful and a friendly young man. I explained to him that in the two lanes offered for lap swimming there are people doing calisthenics and jogging today but last week there were snorkeling. He explained, he meant to have his lifeguards enforce lap swimming but he has not done it yet. So in fact the Los Altos Pool offers the citizens of Albuquerque one lane of lap swimming on Friday from 6:30pm to 8 pm. I hope they update the description of what is actually happening so adults driving here are not surprised every week.

In July, I finally had to go in person because every time I called, the manager was either unavailable or in a meeting. I even left my contact information for a callback and never received one. When I spoke with Jenna, she told me I would be charged for August, but if I provided proof that I had moved along with my new address, the August charge would be waived. I submitted the requested documentation that same day in July, including proof of my new address. Unfortunately, Genesis rejected my documentation, and I'm still being charged for August. I never missed a payment and my account was fully paid through July. This has been an extremely frustrating experience. The lack of communication, inconsistent information, and failure to honor what I was told has been very disappointing. I expected a much smoother cancellation process, especially after providing everything that was requested.

Community space is so important!…read more The city did a really good job renovating the Wilson Swimming Pool located in the heart of the International District. I can't wait to see how the community uses the space, especially for events like National Night Out. The pool is really clean and a perfect place to bring the kids. Everything is well fenced in and the grass is nice and green. The mural on the restroom area is super colorful. Huge congrats to the community leaders who pulled this off and invested in the space.

Water aerobics is more exercise than you imagine (especially when Anthony is leading!) and less stress on your joints than some other aerobics options. The pool and locker rooms are well maintained, and the staff is friendly. Prices range from $2 to $4.25 depending on age and sometimes event, and there are monthly passes. Seniors (60+) get in free.
