I opted for the ceramic version (my sister has this, and confirmed the better heat reduction over standard) for just a bit more in pricing. He does all his own work, so sometimes the lead time to get in might be out a couple weeks. I agreed to the next available date for getting my car done. While the shop is a bit of a hole in the wall, Don did a fantastic job with my car (2013 Lexus CT200h). The car was done on time and there were no suprises. Don was very friendly and informative. That means the "discounted" price is exactly what I was quoted originally. In other words, the price was inflated to create the appearance of a deal. That kind of pricing tactic is misleading. It relies on manufactured urgency rather than honest, consistent pricing, and it raises questions about how transparent the business actually is once you're past the quote stage. For a simple, straightforward service, there's no reason to play games with numbers. If pricing changes, that should be explained clearly. This wasn't that. Because of this, I wouldn't do business here and wouldn't recommend it to others. Trust matters, and this approach doesn't inspire it.
