Managed is absolutely crap!! Where do I start! Rent is wayyy too high for the "amenities" a smelly room they call gym, all the equipment is always broken or doesn't work. The sauna looks dark and dinghy. It never looks clean. The bathroom for the pool area are also outdated, never cleaned, they never have toilet paper, or soap to wash your hands. People there walk their dogs and these nasty fcks never pick up after their animal. If you get on the bad side of management they retaliate by either not fixing what you have requested to get fixed or they will do a half ass job. They will call and say you have noise complaints about your until but other people have their drunk family members yelling and being Obnoxious, pissing and puking leaving their beer bottles in public areas...but they don't get noise complaints. Horrible company. Horrible staff and more than anything an incapable management running the location in Woodland Hills on victory and shoup. Run from this place, it's a rundown old building with close to zero maintenance, leaks, bugs and roaches and the smell of the la river next to the building are constant features here. People wash their cars in driveways while furniture gets left out for weeks at a time before a pickup. If I could give them less than one star if I could. This management company is by far one of the worst Property Management companies/ Owners around. They are Cheap, Cheap, Cheap. I lived in the 10230 Eton Ave, Chatsworth. I had given them an almost $2,000 deposit. My deposit was considerably more due to my credit but was willing to pay it. Normal Deposit is $500. I was there for about 1.5 years and had kept my apartment in great condition. When I received back my deposit I discovered that I only got back half of my $2,000. When I called to get a reason, they stated it was for painting, and cleaning the apt categorized as "NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR". If I had only needed to pay the normal $500 as a deposit, would they have sent me a bill for another $500??? I have never in my years of renting have ever gotten charged so much for "NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR": The upgrades in their kitchen were very cheap and difficult to keep clean and did increase the rent astronomically. their amenities like their so-called "Fitness Center" was a universal machine and three cardio machines that are dated back to the early 80's. The Jacuzzi barely has any jets and is as old as the apartment complex itself with no upgrades. You may look at the physical complex as a reasonable place to consider and maybe it is but you need to look at the finer details before considering signing the contract. They have one property on Topanga Canyon, one in Woodland Hills and one off of De Soto in Canoga Park. There may be more. BOTTOM LINE: STAY AWAY FROM SERRRIA MANAGEMENT PROPERTIES. They're not technically slumlords, because I think their buildings are all up to code, but that's a pretty low bar to clear. If you like having to call the manager multiple times to request a repair, have her yell at you when you finally get ahold of her, and then wait to see if the landlord will actually fix things, Sierra Management is a great choice. They're especially great if you like to be told that something is "fixed" (say, a leaky roof), only to have that roof leak again and again. How do you feel about a broken lock on the front gate to your building (a gate that can be jumped over easily, in any case) and a easy-to-break-into garage? If you're into having 4 out of 6 units and multiple cars get burglarized within 4 months, Sierra Management is a great choice! Particularly if you like getting blamed for assuming that they would take some responsibility for fixing the broken locks. One time Sierra Management's manager made my wife cry when she called to say our AC was broken. Sound like fun? Rent from them! All I can say is that I'm super stoked to no longer be a tenant. read more

The awful smells at their Rexford Dr complex on Beverly Hills is so bad I've filed 5 complaints and I have to move. Just got my deposit back from this horrible mismanaged company. They did an inspection on the place and told us all we had to do was clean the unit . In the inspection they told us not to paint or clean carpets and said no repairs needed. Meanwhile Rosie and her sidekick husband which by the way have horrible reviews online about how they treat people and cheat the clients very nice in the beginning but 2 faced at the end. Mold in units go unattended, even after request. Pool and gym locked during day.The high crime area on Gresham has lots of gang violence and management ignores all the broken gates that stay open 24hrs. Helicopters fly over everynight. Loud music throughout the night, people double park blocking you in the unit. No guest parking as they illegally rent the spaces they tell you about during the leasing. I'm sorry to say but after living in one of their managed bldgs for over 35 + yrs (and them trying to force me out b/c of my low rent a few times) all I can say about these people are they are the scum of the earth. In the 35 yrs. that I lived there I painted my own apt 2 x, put up my own curtains when the others wore out and replaced the carpet in the whole apt once b/c they refused any up keep. Then to top it all off they refused to refund my deposit and said that I did not give 30 days notice (I paid my monthly rent on the 1st, notified on the 6th, and moved out by the 30 so they are keeping all the money. WTH! Sure keep 6 days out of the deposit but not all the $). They suck! Good luck if you live in one of their managed bldgs or are thinking about it. ZERO stars for this pathetic excuse for a management company. I live in the Gresham St apartments near Desoto and Nordoff and this is the worst place I've ever lived in my whole life. The building is awful, the area is ghetto, some neighbors are loud and can't control their hyperactive children which yell throughout the day making it impossible for a quiet, peaceful evening and lastly the managers here are ugly both inside and out. They put on a fake smile when you first arrive telling you what you want to hear then treat you completely the opposite. If they don't like you they discriminate against you and give special treatment to the tenants that they do like. They allow these "special" tenants to do whatever they please. They themselves do not follow the rules they enforce, making them hypocrites. Rosie & Albert you are the nastiest people I've ever met. It's quite obvious to see that these people hate their lives and what they've become but that gives them NO excuse to treat the tenants here like garbage. We have complained several times to Sierra Management regarding the noisy neighbors, terrible management and cockroach infestation, yet they choose to do nothing. DO NOT... I REPEAT - DO NOT rent a property through this management company. At the last minute before moving in they'll make you sign this bull$hit "Addendum" to your lease saying that they can charge you exorbitant prices for painting and cleaning once you leave. They'll explain it as "oh that's just if you ruin the paint by making the apartment red or something..." The addendum will tell you that you have a right to a walk thru before you move and when they come they'll tell you you have nothing to worry about - the apartment is spotless and then bam. Suddenly you get your security deposit refund and they took half of you money out!! When you call they'll tell you that you don't have to ruin anything but if they choose to "make the apartment fresh" for the next person then YOU have to pay for it!!! When you explain the walk thru raised no red flags and that my manager in fact told me the apartment looked like a model home, they said oh well, you signed the addendum and you can take legal action. Obviously this is something they do to every one of their tenants. Oh, and when I moved into my apartment the paint was all dirty and scuffed and the whole apartment was FILTHY!!
