I hate leaving negative reviews but this is r​eally important for people to know who are considering putting their loved ones here. Between rude kitchen staff and the absolute garbage that comes out of the kitchen, my mother who is a current resident is not getting enough nutrition and feels intimidated to speak up to try to get more food. My mother has witnessed staff, upon hearing a complaint about the meal, come up to the resident who complained and in a sickly sweet, passive aggressive manor, berate her by telling her,​ "You AREN'T going to eat this after we ALL worked SO hard to make you this meal?" Dishes that are listed on the menu come out unrecognizable and look and taste completely different from one person to the next. Many meals don't have enough protein, and many are smothered in a lumpy, unrecognizable and not tasty gravy. For $3,000 a month, I wish i could demand better for my mother!! But it seems there is no "better" here when it comes to the food. It's a shameful practice, cutting corners on cost, using crappy ingredients that DO NOT fulfil the nutritional needs of seniors! The only really tasty thing seems to be the ice cream that comes with every meal... I'm sorry, I recognize this is our sad American standard, but pumping the elderly (many of whom already clearly exhibiting signs of cognitive decline) full of sugar and carbs should be illegal! Try to complain to Raystone management and they cannot help, as "the kitchen is run by a different company entirely." Great accountability. My mom will be moving back home where are least I know she will get her nutritional needs met by someone who ACTUALLY cares. To be clear, everything and everyone else associated with this facility is beautiful and lovely. The problems again are with the food and kitchen staff.

My wife and I spent a lot of time visiting Hilltop, so we were able to gain a very good appreciation of the place and we got to know many of the staff and residents. Hilltop is very clean and orderly, they provide tons of amenities and activities for residents, and the building has a beautiful courtyard full of trees, plants, and flowers. What really sets Hilltop apart is their highly skilled and professional staff. They are the warmest, friendliest, and most attentive people who make everyone feel like family. They work very hard to build a home and community for their residents. We are going to miss our visits there.

Lisa, the owner, is a seasoned registered nurse with decades of experience, and she and her husband put all their love and support into this place. It shows in the staff, the morale, the facility, and the care they have for the residents here. My mom spent her final moments in Sierra View and Lisa, her daughter Farren, and the staff showed the utmost love and care for my mom right right up to the very end of her life. Lisa does a wonderful job hiring caring and qualified staff and they all were attentive and, honestly, like angels. I am writing this review a year after my mom passed, and I literally thank God for finding Sierra View and the experience we as a family had here. On other notes, the food here uses fresh ingredients, made largely, if not all, from scratch, and they thoughtfully pay attention to the dietary needs of each resident. My mom was very picky with her food and they accommodated her so well. The rooms are homey and can be customized with your own furniture. The facility has a built-in salon, and there are daily activities that they encourage everyone to participate in (from painting, to music, to field trips, etc.). The patio is a showpiece with tons of birds, nice seating in the sunshine with umbrellas, gas grills, and a fountain. My mom loved sitting out here and we had many family meals here. Sometimes things that are "too good to be true" are just... TRUE. And this is one of those places.

Great patio and the flowers and plants are amazing. However, nothing can beat the caring staff. They all went above and beyond in taking care of my Mom. She thrived under their care. When I visited,I never wanted to leave. It was very cozy and welcoming. They were very encouraging and kept her motivated. All of the holidays are celebrated and the residents really enjoy all the preparations that go into celebrating. I can't say enough good things. Having my Mom a resident here gave my sister and I great peace of mind. Communication was also great. They are able to work with all care levels. I am so thankful they were there for my Mom.
