I can only speak to tire repair, but in that area, I just had an amazing experience with these guys. I had a flat tire because there was a screw in it. I called them and they said I could just come by. I pulled up, Carlos saw me, waved me and fixed the tires in five minutes and they charged me $25. LOOK AT YOUR GAS GAUGE BEFORE AND AFTER YOU PUT GAS IN YOUR VEHICLE. I drove to Valero gas station with 12 miles left in my gas tank. I went to the pump to use my car but it directed me to go inside to pay. I walked inside and let her know that I wanted $15 in gas. She asked me what pump and I showed her the car and she said pump. I walked to my car went to the nozzle put worth $15 in there as that's all I told her I wanted and then got in my car. When I turned my car on, I noticed the gauge never moved past the 12 miles. I thought it was my gauge so I turned it on and off three times and all three times the gauge never moved past 12 miles. I walked into the gas station and explain to the girl who didn't understand me at all. This other girl came to help her who again didn't fully speak English, and I tried to explain to her that my gauge never moved and all she can keep telling me was that I only put 2.68 gallons of gas. I told her that should be fine and I should see the gauge moved, but it didn't and she just kept repeating herself. She walked away to go get the man who I believe is the owner. He walked over to me and we both walked to my car. I thought he was going to look at my gauge inside my car, but he wanted nothing to do with it and he wanted me just out of the store so no one else would hear what's going on. After I was done explaining to him what happened he said now you can hear me out I heard you story. He said something is wrong with my gas gauge and I should take it to the dealership. I told him nothing is wrong with my gas gauge. I've put many times this amount at other stations and this time I'm not seeing anything happen with my gauge. I told him this happened to my husband three weeks ago at his station and while I told him this happened to my husband three weeks ago, he tells me there was a woman last week who experienced the same thing. He said she put five dollars in and her gauge never moved and he brought somebody to test all four stations and they were working just fine. I said to him well don't you think that's a little suspicious that you have three people in less than three weeks with the same issue. He said no and I said OK well I'm gonna call my credit card company and I am going to report this and he told me go ahead and report it basically not caring. My husband told me when he went and addressed it, the same man walked over to my husband's car and took the gas nozzle and put gas on my husband's car to show him it works. My husband said to him was this necessary to put gas on my car and his response was "I had to show you the nozzle works". read more

Wonderful little hidden gem. Good prices on empanadas and mini pastries. The price of the coffee is reasonable. I was supposed to pick up the laundry soap at the gas station early in the morning. As soon as I walked in, I saw there is a long line inside the convenient store. Then I found out that people are waiting in line for the pastries. What a wonderful place to get a cheap breakfast if you stay at the hotel near by. I brought a dozen of mini European style pastries to the late morning boat ride. All my friends loved it. read more

I brought my car to Sierra Auto Center to buy and have them install 2 tires. They put the 2 new tires on the front of my car. A couple of days after that I went to Idaho and Oregon for 2 1/2 weeks. When I came back, I saw that the sensor on the drivers' side front tire was not reading the tire pressure. I brought the car back to them to ask what was causing the problem and they said that the tire sensor on that tire needed to be replaced and would cost $150. This seemed strange to me because there was no problem with the tire sensor before they replaced my tires. Carlos said to return any day that week in the morning and he would replace the tire sensor. Two days later I went to to Sierra Auto to talk to them about replacing the sensor and the fact that the tire sensor was fine before they replaced the tires. Carlos would barely speak to me and told me that he was too busy to help me. I am going to have to take my car somewhere to have the tire sensor replaced. This will cost me of course, and that is in addition to the $388.73 that Carlos charged me for the purchase and installation of 2 tires. Additionally, they did not align my tires. Sierra is not only a service station for vehicle maintenance, but also a gas station (a Valero gas station, to be specific). Yes, gas prices here are on the high side, compared to the Greater Miami area, but compared with the other gas station alternative in the South Beach-North Beach line, which is a Shell on Arthur Godfrey Road that sells gas for $4.09 and beyond for regular, it is still more affordable. On Saturday for example, it was $3.84 at Sierra's Valero, and $4.19 at Shell. Do the math. It is a small gas station, I believe there are only 4 pumps, and can get crowded, as a result. If a car parks in the lot, it may have a hard time pulling out because the parking spots are literally on top of the pump stations. It's not some major corporation, like BP, Shell or Mobile, which is why it is not large or overly fancy but that does not make it sketchy, like Peter M. states. By the way, if you're into loitering, you WILL be kicked out (so much for being sketchy!). I saw a bunch of high school kids one weekday morning just gathering around to hang and someone came out and told them they must leave the gas station unless they're going to buy something. Beware, do not make this your next meeting place for a date! read more

As far as gas stations go, it's the ONLY one (currently) in the northeast quadrant of South Beach and the only one on the east side of the beach at all. I'm only giving it three stars for the simple reason that I own a scooter and the gas pumps out with much more force than at any of the other stations on the beach. That being the case, the gas can more easily spray everywhere while pumping in addition to it being simply a more tedious process to fill up a small tank since you're having to gently squeeze the handle. I can't attest to pastry goodness. read more

Get my car washed here sometimes, sign is a little misleading...its by hand and machine so if you don't like your car going thru the machines then you prob don't want the car wash here...its possible to ask them to do it all by hand? (im assuming) they have a sandwich shop inside and you can get a fresh sandwich or a juice, or some Cuban pastries! read more

Had a bad experience at this place. I dropped off my car ( a Dodge ) there on a Friday for a part that the owner said would come in on the following Tuesday. The part never arrived. He tells me that the part is in transit and will come on Wednesday. Wednesday he calls me and says he doesnt know when the part is going to arrive. Really? I told him to just forget it. I picked up the car on Thursday and had to pay $200 for labor. He didn't even offer me a discount for my inconvenience. I took the car to the Dodge dealer, which is what i should've done in the first place, and had them order the part and fix the car. Never again. read more

Brought my BMW in to get looked at and the owner himself took the time to go over the issues I was having. That speaks volumes. He was able to tell me what every other shop I had visited couldn't and provided me with a quote that was unheard of for the types of issues I had. And while there, I treated myself to some of the best empanadas and cafe con leche at their cafeteria. I don't live close to them, but it was absolutely worth it. Jose and his guys run a tight ship and man they are on point. Visit first before going anywhere else if you are having car troubles. This place looks sketchy from the outside and you would think that you would have no reason to go there as their gas prices are quite high. But, if you are in the area and need a cafe cubano, sandwich or pastry this is the place to go. Once inside this tiny place is usually crowded with people waiting in line to order some of their wonderful items. I can not comment on their auto repair service, but there always seems to be many cars there getting repaired so they must be doing something right. read more

They've never pushed me to do more repairs other than what absolutely had to be done. They've been very fair with their prices, they get the job done in a very timely manner and even go the extra mile to check my fluids and clean the engine. I never am moved enough to write a review, but this one takes the cake and deserves a PSA. I pulled into this gas station to fill up my tank on a Friday night a couple of weeks ago, an activity that's usually pretty uneventful. Well, this one was a lot more memorable because the automatic stop function in the pump didn't work, and I saw a fountain of gas blasting out of my car's fuel tank. There was no way to stop it other than for me to step into the fountain and manually take the pump off that automatic stop which was malfunctioning. I was doused in gasoline, as a result, which ruined my Friday night plans, as I certainly wasn't going dancing reeking of gasoline. Naturally upset, I went inside hoping to speak with a manager, confident that they will at least attempt to make this a less horrible experience. Alas, there was no manager. There were only a couple of female clerks at the station's convenience store, who spoke zero (and I mean zero) English. The girl kept telling me "pay outside". When I switched to my broken Spanish trying to explain the issue, she understood that my issue wasn't with where can I pay. But to that, the only thing she had to say is "I only take money". There, ladies and gentlemen, is your honest customer service answer. She confirmed that there is no manager on duty, and nothing can be done. I offered to leave my contacts so the manager can reach out to me, which she wouldn't take, saying that it's better if I come back during the day and then they can review the tape of the incident and only then, maybe, they will do something. So, I left, doused in gas, with my car stinking for days from gas having spilled over it, and having paid for the gas that I did need plus the gas that spilled. If you don't want your day to get this unexpected doze of excitement, avoid this place! read more
