I paid 170.00 and tipped on top of that for her to deep clean the main level of our home which is three bedrooms and two bathrooms, kitchen, den, dining room and formal living room. I expressed to her that the floors and bathrooms were one of the main reasons I needed to hire a cleaner. She came for about 5 hours and when I got home I was really disappointed in the service. It appeared like a maintenance clean not a deep clean. I found myself dusting window sills, sweeping, and re-cleaning the floors on my hands and knees (picture provided of my microfiber cloth just 3 hours after clean was done) and I saw where spots were missed in the showers of mineral build up as well as dirt behind and around our toilets. Further more, corners of floors and sideboards were still left unclean. (Pictured) I sent her a message expressing my concerns and disappointment and received an apology, with no offers to re-clean, or refund part of the cleaning. This is why I am writing this review. I feel as a new business it is really important to be meticulous in cleaning and possibly offer more than just an apology when a customer is not satisfied.

I'm frustrated enough with how apartment leasing works in Iowa City; typically carpet cleaning falls on the apartment complex. So wasting two hours waiting on a service that I never received is infuriating. I scheduled service for the last free day I will have this summer and so now I'll have to displace another appointment to supervise the service. Steve with Premier Cleaning of Iowa City may not find two hours valuable, but I do. A phone call to advise of lateness or to attempt rescheduling would have been acceptable, if a little disappointing. In the least, answering the phone or returning the voice mail messages I left (an hour after the scheduled appointment) would have shown some concern for the situation. In the end, I got neither of these showing that Premier Cleaning of Iowa City has a complete lack of professionalism. I cannot recommend Premier Cleaning of Iowa City to anyone for any purpose.
