I had lunch in Sidolis sitting outside in the sunshine under a parasol sporting the Italian national colours. I had a tuna and mayo sandwich and a small salad. At £4 this was excellent value and although I have a good appetite I must admit the portion size was so large that even I was defeated. This must be part of Sidolis ethos as I don't think I've ever seen such large portions of cakes, puddings etc... on display before.
Sidolis was set up originally as an ice cream parlour with the Sidoli family coming to south Wales from Italy in 1921. They still serve delicious ice creams which are still made in Wales with locally produced fresh milk and cream.
Situated a few feet away from the cafe, is a small children's playground so you can sit having coffee or ice cream whilst your children play happily. read more
