Prices are reasonable, and the menu is standard coffee shop fare - sandwhiches, panninnis etc. There are some lovely homemade soups on at the moment, which make a nice change for a winter lunchtime. They also have pies and other specials on at the mo. After trying most of the bridgend coffee shops during a lunchbreak Bauhaus ranks as one of the best in Bridgend. It's nice that independent coffee shops are still going strong in Bridgend - you definately get more friendly service here than in a typical chain coffee place.

A few weeks after the renovation I went for lunch and discovered the true beauty of the fabulous menu offered in Aroma. The desert menu is my favourite part, offering a tempting selection of homemade pastries and delicious cakes I could have made my way through the whole of the desert cabinet! Aroma is also ideal to grab a quick cappuccino or latte to go while you browse the shopping streets of Bridgend. I have yet to go and try the evening menu, but am looking forward to heading back and trying anything they have to offer, reasonably priced and very friendly, relaxed atmosphere with a superb smell of freshly brewing coffee as you enter!

There are lots of nice coffees available (espresso, latte, macciato, etc) and teas (including Earl Grey). Chilled soft drinks too including bottled milk shakes and juices. There is quite a range of 'basic' but wholesome food available, from eggs on toast (£2.50), bangers and mash (£4.50) to a veggie breakfast (£3). Fresh rolls and sandwiches too. Staff are friendly, service quick and the place kept clean. Tables and chairs are squeezed in here so when its busy you may want to consider heading to another coffee place down the road.
