They saved my wedding day! I had a beach destination wedding leaving on. Friday. I decided to get…read moremy dress altered at another local alteration place. I had a long dress with a lace overlay. I wanted to shorten the the dress part and leave the lace overlay:train. the lady seemed confident in the project and the timeline. We had months until the wedding date. I had to go back four times and the lady still didn't have it right. By this time we only had one week until we were scheduled to leave for the trip. I go to pick it up Thursday (two days before our trip), and it was all wrong. It was bunched up on one side and loooked like a child did it. I left almost in tears frantically calling and showing up to any alteration place I could find. No one could help me. they were worried the dress was too ruined or thought they couldn't do what I needed in that amount of time. One of the place recommended I go to Decker ALTERATIONS. insisting they were the ones who could fix it for me. I frantically ran over there and explained my whole situation. Right away they had me try it on for a fitting and to assess the damage. I know they were busy and really didn't have the time to take one a wedding dress project in one day. Mush less one that was butchered. They not only fixed the dress in such a short time, but they made it exactly how I pictured it to be. It was absolutely gorgeous. Knowing I will have to pre-clean items before use, I don't mind if the used price is realistic/reasonable but they are anything but at this store. Home Depot sells their brand new 27 gals Heavy Dutty Tuff Storage containers here for $11 Dollars each! This Goodwill store had three of the exact same 27 gals Heavy Dutty Tuff Storage containers in a very used and extremely filthy condition for $10 Dollars each. They were so dirty it would cost me more in personal labor and cleaning supplies than to buy the same thing brand new (*crazy*). When I politely asked to speak with Mgr (to kindly point this out/make a counteroffer) the people behind the counter laughed in my face when I explained why. It was no surprise the Store Mgr never came to the counter to speak with me, their customer service here reflects the prices. I know all of this because my Dad taught me to be a Super Shopper and I regularly shop at most of the area thrift stores in the Greater STL area (on both sides of the river). As of late, I've been looking for used storage containers since Biglots recently changed their normally low-priced storage container prices to astronomically unrealistic levels higher than I would pay for the same container at Target (by the way their prices are now better than Walmart's on for a decent-sized storage container).

I didn't have my husband's actual measurements, and the shirts I brought to compare were NOT all the same sizes! Dakota was optimistic and up for the challenge! (His supervisor didn't look so comfortable with this idea lol) Dakota spent a good couple of hours meticulously measuring and filling out a form, helped me decide on an obscure color my husband wanted, along with cuffs, collars, monogram, blahblah lol - he was soo patient!
