Since coming to Nelms Family practice I have been so disappointed. I have had my money refunded…read moretwice now because of failure to take care of what believe to be a minimum level of service. They have made appointments twice on days they were closed. I showed up and no one was there. I received a voicemail with an important diagnosis. I called to find out more and was told they don't do that by phone so I made an appointment. There was a 50 copay just to learn more about my earlier visit which I finds offensive and I was in the room for 40 minutes, not even a mention he was running late. Lots of people sitting on their behinds. The have lost two pretty good PA's in a short time. Something is wrong at Nelms, I would think twice.

Another patient came in and was told, oops idk why they told you to be here at 10 this doctor doesn't come in until 2:45pm. You can wait if you want? Really? OMG there is a revolving door of patients in and out for quick 10 minute treatments? I drove my son for 1.5 hours for a government scheduled appointment and I am sitting here for 2 hours and fifteen minutes and he texts me, "I am still waiting and haven't seen a doctor yet. IDK what's going on?" Totally ridiculous behavior for a professional doctor office. I say AVOID this place if you have a choice, they're completely clueless of the patients time. The women behind the desk have no discretionary voice and the door is wide open the room is filled with patients and we're all here listening to private conversations ‍‍

I went there desperately seeking help for my ear infection. ( I ended up at a ENT specialist…read morebecause my whole face swelled up) My pain was quite visible when I arrived there. There were two ladies at the front desk. One of them seemed nice but never said anything when the other woman was being rude to me. The lady who was rude has very short hair. She didn't welcome me or say hello. She asked me what I needed. I proceeded to tell her and she cut me off. I had never been there and I also didn't know the area well. She patronized me about how much pain ear infection causes while I was leaving. You know that bad feeling you get when someone looks at you like you just ruined their lives or something? That's how she looked at me. I've worked in medical records and people have to have a certain amount of empathy and patience. Everyone has a bad day, I know, but you can't let it show through when working with someone who is in pain. Now I know, she may be the nicest person in the world usually ( I doubt it though) but I would really recommend going somewhere else. I feel bad for the doctor because that woman has probably shunned people away before. I hope they acquire better employees for the sake of everyone!

Today I got a call with only saying the doctor you Scheduled with (this Friday) after waiting 3 months is now out of the office. I got absolutely NO great reasoning why my appointment was canceled and they did not have any appointments until the END of August to reschedule.. even with another doctor at this location! I was shocked ... there was no real apology or suggesting being put on the wait list. It was simple... your appointment is canceled and you can get an appointment in August!? I am definitely NOT happy with this doctor's office and especially since I have been waiting for months and need to be seen! I would definitely NOT recommend this office to anyone especially if you are a new patient ... they didn't seem to care at all if you get in there or not!! Will absolutely be contacting someone higher up, leaving a review and warning others how this place is run. It's so sad ... I'm looking into going elsewhere now due to this!
