This location is situated off I 85 & other major routes- near the corner of Moreene & Erwin road a mile or so from the main Duke North Hospital Systems on Erwin Road & nearby Medicine Circle. It's now obscured from a lot of greenery and shrubbery but once you turn into the winding paved path way - the location is a beautifully crafted building remindful of the older Duke bricks and newer bricks building.Uniquely designed - there is a drop off entrance for accessibility with automatic door openers. I called back a week later and the woman who helped me was beyond rude. If I didn't have two friend's who already had positive experiences here I would have said never mind. When she asked what I wanted to be seen for I said a general check up. She rudely told me they don't do that there. I was very confused by this!! I then explained blood work etc and she said you want a physical?! Okay, yes, a physical, the word had escaped me. Anyways I was able to score an appointment for a few weeks later and that was that. I had a much better experience with the front desk staff and enjoyed meeting Dr Pechter. I like that they have you go in for blood work before your appointment so you can discuss your results with your doctor. They have the lab right in their office so that is really convenient as well. I will definitely continue to see Dr Pechter for my yearly physical and anything that may pop up before then.

The intake and scheduling process feels unfriendly and cold. There is a complete lack of clear procedure throughout the office. Basic steps like how to check in or whether you need to notify the lab that you have arrived are left unguided, leaving patients sitting in confusion. More troubling is the clinical care itself. Providers do not seem to know anything about you, and every year feels like starting completely from scratch. Because clinicians do not know your history, there is zero continuity of care. On top of that, there seems to be a growing number of providers with limited clinical knowledge. It is disappointing to leave a practice I trusted for so long, but the ongoing lack of organization, reduced quality of care, and declining medical standards leave me no choice.

My veins are small and deep, and I can't tell you how many times I've left a blood draw and had bruises on the insides of both elbows for days. When Dr. Inaam and Maria didn't immediately find a good vein, they didn't poke and poke. They didn't even poke once! They gave me two bottle of water to drink to see whether hydration would help. When it didn't, they sent me to LabCorp where someone who draws blood all day every day quickly tapped a vein and got the blood necessary for my tests. There were many good things about my visit, but that was the thing that sealed the deal and made me sure Dr. Inaam is the right doctor for me.
