Amazing cataract surgery outcome…read more I'm very grateful for ths skiils and care I received at Blue Ridge Surgery Center. I'm truly impressed by the outcome. Dr. Gupta operated on my right eye cataract yesterday. Before surgery, my right eye had significant ghosting in my distance vision while driving, watching tv, and even walking. Objects and text appeared doubled or shadowed, though the image would become clearer if I tilted my head way back--probably caused by my old worn out lens distortion. As of this morning after surgery, the change is remarkable. Distance vision in my right eye is exceptionally clear, with no ghosting. Images and color are so much brighter, sharper, and tv skin tones are noticeably more defined. It is like taking off bown tint sunglasses. The improvement in in just one day is dramatic. Special thanks you to the entire Blue Ridge Surgery team including preop nurse Morgan, and my anesthesiologist.

Everyone from registration, the nurses and doctors were so friendly and supportive of me and my wife. They took exceptional care of me from start to finish and ensured my experience was over the top. I was in the hospital hallucinating for 3 days after an overdose, and i didnt speak to a therapist for HOURS. The staff were all extremely rude and didnt take anything seriously. With Covid19 running rampid throughout the country, this is the last place I want to be. However, after being sent to the hospital by the urgent care doctor, and seeing a practically empty E.R. parking lot, and waiting room, I was relieved. As I walked in, I was greeted like I had just entered a store. The lady at the front desk, got me checked in before I could sit down. And as I went to sit down, I got called to the back. Everyone was very nice, and hospitable. The phlebotomists is one of the people I dread seeing the most (for obvious reasons). However, Mrs. B was very gentle, fast, and somehow has managed the craft of sticking me undetectably with that ginormous ( ; needle. I honestly could not feel the needle entering my hypersensitive skin. The nurses, and Dr. Salisbury (Please forgive me if I misspelled his name) were uber-nice, helpful, and explanatory. They kept the mood light, and fun which kept me from being nervous, and anxious. They all worked together seamlessly, and rather quickly to figure out why I was having abdominal pain. I was checked in, and discharged within two-in-a half hours. It was the best ER visit I'd ever experienced.

I'm sorry to see so many others have had negative experiences, but mine were both great - a year and 3 days apart, but still great. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. I witnessed her patience dealing with a situation with someone in the waiting area. The PA my son saw was the same PA that stitched my finger last year. He provided thorough care and explained to both of us the best ways to treat the problem. He even took extra time to look up my records from last year to clarify a question my primary doctor had about that visit. The waiting area was clean & comfortable, except a few chairs that were peeling, and Wi-Fi was available, if needed.

YES, releasing patients is a thing, typically VERY rare in the industry due to the downstream impacts of abandoning patients, but 3 in 3 years, clearly not for this practice, and 2 PA's too in that time? One has to ask what the heck is going on over there?! Why are they having so much trouble keeping doctors AND patients? What is the common denominator? Say it with me....POOR MANAGEMENT! There is much more I have to say on this subject but need to refrain in this forum. I will say to anyone else in this situation, it isn't right, and don't be bullied with what appears to be iron clad paperwork...
