Nearly all of the gourmet food products have been removed, so this absolutely is not a place to go food shopping as there are far better places in Rome to shop for excellent cheese and meats. It is an absolute shame that this wonderful shop has been ruined. All the wonderful employees are gone. What were they thinking??? The other croquette was potato and cheese and it was so nice. Olive brochette salty and oh so olivey. Spaghetti carbonara was full bodied and a little heavy but tasty. The spaghetti marinara was heaven just what you think of when one thinks of Italy. Green Salad just ok, but the mushroom and ham calzone wrap was devine. I ended up drinking some souvenirs before leaving so had to go back to replace them. My second visit the woman running the shop showed me many of the items that come directly from her Father in southern Italy. yes limoncello is great but there are so many other flavors you can try too. I was partial to the creme. I also picked up some jelly and a small jar of cacio e pepe which was fantastic. This is a small storefront so be aware you might have to use Google to find it but well worth the effort !

Using fresh, and seasonal produce to cook his meals, not only did we get to see how a local Italian family lives and eats, we also got some hands on experience preparing the food too! Fresh tomato bruschetta, with tomatoes we picked from the terrace garden, freshly made lasagna, tender chicken fillets and grilled eggplant.. what a meal! Everything was included, even the transfer from the metro station. What more can you ask for, for a Rome Local Experience?
