As soon as you walk through the doorway you feel the atmosphere of an Irish pub. The woodwork and decor was very cool. It has a very large bar and lots of tables. We were there on a Saturday for lunch. I just got a cheeseburger, which you could tell was homemade. We also got the beef stew and boneless wings. The beef stew was fabulous. Our bartender (who was also the owner) was super friendly and very attentive. We also bought a couple of tshirts. Anyhoo, next time we are in the area, we will be back!

No need for a pot of gold to eat at this treasure of a restaurant. It might be one of the prettiest places in town, and the food is delicious, but the prices stay on the high end of reasonable, making it an easy choice for a fun night out on the town. Even better, on Friday and Saturday nights they whisk the tables away and bring in live music or a DJ, and this corner pub becomes a lively nightclub. My mom and I were in town for a few days, staying just across the street at the Penn Stroud (which we highly recommend and look forward to visiting again soon) so it was an easy stroll over to Siamsa on two different nights. The first night we were there the place was quiet and most of the patrons were served at the bar. We took one of the booths at the front of the restaurant and were well cared for by the waitstaff. Mom ordered a Caesar salad which featured a fantastic, rich dressing. I was delighted to order an Irish Breakfast platter complete with bangers and black pudding. Such a treat! Our second visit was foolishly unplanned- who goes to an Irish Pub on March 17th by accident? Yup, that's us. This visit included live music, a wait for a table, and a limited menu. Pierogis and a cheeseburger were exactly what we wanted this time, which was good, as they ended up closing the kitchen early after running out of potatoes! The cheeseburger was juicy and filling, and the pierogis were as good as they always are- it's hard to go wrong with a mashed potato dumpling. The only word of warning I'll give on the service is this- just know that the kitchen is two flights of stairs above the pub, so if you ask for anything extra to be brought there might be a wait. Our waitress brought our extra horseradish sauce to us with a smile, but I couldn't help but feel bad once I realized how many steps she'd added to make us happy.

I am a local and my family and I have been coming here since they opened their doors. I can tell you that the ambience is friendly Casual, and according to my family authentic to a traditional Irish pub the food is seasonal, regional and delicious. I highly recommend The pretzels with beer cheese, and the fish and chips. We recently did a head to head challenge between a couple pubs on main street and Siamsa was by far the winner with the best fish and chips on Main Street. On our most recent visit our server was Sydney and she was delightful! I didn't get the name of our food runner, but he was also very quick and friendly wishing my husband a happy birthday when he delivered our food.

Food was amazing. Clearly know how to make Irish pub food. Service was excellent. Neat old pictures of Stroudsburg and cool old vault.

Siamsa Irish Pub is an authentic Irish pub built in 2004. Siamsa, pronounced "sheem-sa" comes from there ancient Gaelic language. The word itself describes fun and Music. In old Ireland, it would describe an evening's impromptu entertainment when country folk would ramble into a neighbour's cottage to sit and talk for awhile and listen to a storyteller or seanacai or possibly join in on a night of singing and dancing around a roaring fire. There pub reflects both the Victorian style of 19th century Dublin pubs, particularly in the ornate back bar and use of glazed snug booths and the Celtic style which encompasses the spirit of Irish creativity and mastery of mythological images. They have dedicated themselves to producing an authentic Siamsa Pub. There pub was built in Ireland, shipped to the Poconos and assembled by Irish craftsmen. I meet a girlfriend, and the weather was beautiful so we sat outside. The young man that served us, was spectacular. We had a couple of drinks , honey bbq wings , I had a grilled chicken Caesar salad, and girlfriend had a house salad ( due to diet restrictions) We sure will be back.

Their fish and chips are soooo big that they may put you in a food coma. Truly reminded me of my visits to pubs in the UK. The only thing missing on my platter was the mushy peas like you get in the UK. My friend raved about her penne with vodka sauce. She liked the sauce and the portion was huge. Our server--sorry I can't remember her name--was vivacious, friendly, personable, just plain nice. The back bar was gorgeous, again, a ringer for the UK. A must if visiting Stroudsburg. We'll definitely be back!

Great place, tasty food, friendly staff, pretty ambiance. Small town. Located centrally. Wonderful vibe!

Smashburger on the weekend specials menu.

My wife and I were at Siamsa on Saturday 2/25/2033 for their Grand Re-Opening. My wife liked her Shepards Pie and my cheesesteak eggrolls were damn good. My cheesesteak sandwich was as damn good as it always has been at Siamsa!!!! We are glad Siamsa is back open and will be back very soon.

Great looking corner bar on the East end of Main St. I didn't think it was looking like a kid…read morefriendly place for lunch, but the bartender Kyle was extremely friendly and insisted we were good to go. The inside has dark colors, but brightened a bit by the sunlight coming through the outer wall windows. I liked the wooden barrel lights over the bar, barrel wall sconces by the booths and the small bikes made out of pipes with Edison bulbs in them that hang over the front tables. The interior had exposed brick on the outer wall, brown painted patterned ceiling tiles and a gorgeous long antique wooden bar. We sat in one of the cushioned booths in the back. Their menu is small and simple with about ten apps and six handhelds. They have some uncommon menu items that peaked our interest like Goat Birria Tacos, Sloppy Joe's and Mahi Sliders. My wife and son ordered the Sloppy Joe's at $8 that came with seasoned beef and their "House Sloppy Sauce". They both enjoyed them and said the seasoning was good and sauce had a bit of a sweetness. My youngest son had a plain chicken wrap $13 bacon, ranch, LT and Cheddar Jack. It was sizeable and fresh. We ended up splitting it up later for an app before dinner so its shareable if you have a smaller stomach. Kyle recommended their Smash Burger - Smashed Crispy Beef Patty, Cheese, LTO $13. It was average and there was nothing bad to say about it. I enjoyed a Mosier's Mosaic IPA by ShawneeCraft with it. They have a small house cocktail list and their tap list is small, but they do have some craft offerings and cans/bottles. The kids watched sports on a couple of the several TV's around the bar and we had a nice relaxing lunch. I'd stop in again if in the area. Thanks Kyle!

The nachos were such a hearty app, I'm not sure how anyone can eat anything after that, so that was also a bonus.
