Siam Thai is a restaurant that delivers pleasant and tasty food that will suit most tastes with lovely attentive and efficient service. There's something here for everyone.
We were offered a succession of tasty dishes. The son in law eggs to start were a delight. An engaging starter. The BBQ pork neck with salad to follow was lovely. As with my colleague, my favourite dish was the red curry with crispy pork. It is creamy with good flavour and packs some punch. The boat noodle was pleasant too, and we thought the noodles were nicely made and the the dish again had good flavour. My next favourite dish was the stir fry Chinese broccoli with crispy pork. The broccoli was beautifully cooked and was really tasty with ample residual crispness. The pineapple fried rice was lovely too and was jam packed with juicy prawns and calamari. It was excellent for mopping up the sauces.
Apart from the lovely red curry and the broccoli dish, our absolute favourite dish was the dessert, the Thai milk cake which we had with coconut ice cream. This is an astonishingly good offering. I'd seen numerous pictures of this dish but I was still shocked at how stunning the dish looks in the flesh. It's a work of art. Equally amazing is how beautiful it tastes. It's as good a dessert as I've had this year. A beauty. It has a gorgeous delicate flavour and texture. Coconut ice cream is the perfect accompaniment. Memo: it's almost worth a visit for this dish alone.
I haven't mentioned the restaurant space itself. It's a casual Thai place which has a modern and attractive fit out. It's a great place for a relaxing meal.
