This place was so good! I'm reallllly picky with my Pad Thai, and have had the hardest time finding good Thai in MA, especially out in Ayer/Groton/Harvard/Pepperell. Awesome pad Thai!! The restaurant closes pretty early on the weekends. I believe we went at 8:40 on a Saturday and the kitchen was already closed. This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. I work about 10 minutes away. I always get the shrimp and veggie Pad Thai with lemonade and they don't even ask anymore what I want. It was just all right. I normally order Pad Thai when I go to a Thai restaurant. I've been here twice. The consistency was good both times meaning that the dish tasted the same but, and it might be me but other places where I've had this dish don't include a very strong taste of lime in the noodles. I don't know, just seems odd. I like to taste the fish sauce and the crunchy nuts on top but I've just never had it with lime and it kind of overpowers the other flavors and just wasn't too my liking. The place was clean. The staff was friendly. I can see what others are saying about it's easy to miss the place because it's kind of tucked away in the back of an office park where you wouldn't expect to find a restaurant. read more

Read about this place in The Boston Globe and finally got over there to check it out this week. We LOVED the Drunken Noodles, Yellow Curry and seafood dish we ordered and were especially pleased that they offer brown rice, too. As good as we've had in towards Cambridge and Boston and we look forward to returning, soon, and turning friends on to it. This place is totally a hidden gem. Noodles are awesome and when you get takeout the food is inexplicably hot still when you take it out. Chef Ithapol, who made Thai Chili in Maynard a destination restaurant for gourmands throughout Metrowest, is now in residence at Siam Pepper. He has successfully transferred the wonderful flavors (and secret sauces) of his old restaurant to this new site. The tum-yum soup is spicy and fragrant. My wife and daughter both had seafood-based dishes and the scallops and shrimp were lightly cooked to perfection. A signature dish, choo chee duck , is made with generous portions of top-quality meat (not the fatty stuff found elsewhere). All the vegetables are fresh. If you liked Thai Chili, you will love Siam Pepper. The ambiance is clean and pleasant, but come here for the real star: the food. read more

I've been going here since they first opened and they have definitely come a long way. They have the best spring rolls around and their mango fried rice is to die for (I'm a mango fan). The dining room is very small however I usually just order take out only ate there once. read more

I've been going to Siam Pepper at least twice a week since it opened for work lunches and I have yet to be disappointed! The lunch combos include a little bowl of their delicious SOS soup and a few other assorted items (red bean pastry, spring roll, salad, etc.). The portions are very generous, so be ready to take the leftovers with you! My favorite dishes include the chicken pad Thai, massaman curry, drunken noodles, chicken krapow, basil fried rice...I could continue, but you get the point. The food is delicious!! read more

Quality of the food has gone down! Ordered chicken drunken noodles spicy and it was bland. Also ordered veggie pad Thai with onion and peppers and no fish sauce, get home and it was chicken and shrimp! We just moved from Littleton to Ayer and I've previously lived in Lowell, Boston, South and North Florida. Wherever I live, I've always had to seek out the best Thai joints. Siam Pepper is the real deal. We ordered for the first time this past Thursday night. The reviews looked promising and people were ranting and raving about the Drunken Noodle. I've had many a Drunken Noodle and my girl has had Cashew Chicken from many places as well. Both of these dishes lived up to our expectations. The drunken noodles were dark and immersed in sweet/spicy flavor which pleased my palate. We opted for take out after a long day of work, but the inside was pretty casual like most; nice and clean. I would absolutely recommend Siam Pepper to anybody around the Harvard area seeking excellent Thai for prices and portions that are above satisfactory. read more

The pad Thai is a little to sweet and I think there is to much sauce in it, the fried spring rolls are too soggy and not crispy enough to compete with other Thai rolls. The soups are very good and always enjoy the tum yum read more

Wow, this place is great! We have gotten take out two times so far and each time, the food was great. So far, we have tried the Pad Thai, Massaman Curry, Drunken Noodles (if you are a Chow Fun fan, you will like these), Thai rolls, and SOS soup. Each dish was wonderfully flavored and cooked just right. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. I hope this establishment is successful because it is going to be our "go to" place for Thai food from now on. We eat a lot of Asian food, all styles, and this place is a winner! read more

I don't make it out this way often, but when I do I make sure to get a takeout order of spicy Thai noodles with pork. It's absolutely scrumptious and has just the right level of heat to satisfy the taste buds on a cold winter afternoon! The atmosphere is on the dull side, and not worth eating your meal there. Went there for lunch today. Ordered from the lunch specials menu, Mango Fried Rice with Chicken and Shrimp. Asked if they could make it without onions and they were happy to comply. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. With the lunch specials comes a sample of appetizers consisting of a spring roll (couple other items) and this AMAZING soup. Not sure what is was called. My lunch entree came and it was hot, fresh and delicious. My goal was to save some for my lunch the next day, but I could not stop eating it. Everyone one at my table ordered a different lunch menu item. Everyone was very pleased with their meal and nobody had any left overs. I waited on reviewing Siam Pepper because I wanted to try a few of their dishes from different sections of the menu, and also eaten in and taken out. Their food is consistently delicious. I am a big fan of their curry dishes, which are a great take home item with a very generous portion. The pad thai was decent, maybe not the best I've ever had but decent enough for close-to-home purposes, and the drunken noodles were excellent. The lunch specials are reasonably priced and have a decent variety of dishes (ex. pad thai, pad see ew, chicken and cashews, mango fried rice, etc.). I ordered the pineapple fried rice. For the first few bites, it was delicious! Then it got a bit too salty for my liking. (I am a bit spoiled with good Thai food in California.) The service was okay. We sat waiting for our water for a while. Then I stood at the register ready to pay for at least about 10 minutes before someone came out of the back. Given, it wasn't a super busy time so I'll give them that. Overall, a decent experience and would go back if I was just looking for somewhere close to eat. read more

This used to be my favorite Thai restaurant in the area, but recently my family went for my birthday and I was VERY disappointed. On the bright side, the appetizers we ordered were tasty, but that's where the bright side ends. Our main courses were served at drastically different times. So much so that I and my daughter were "done" with our meals before my wife got hers. I put done in quotations because my daughter didn't like her food so she only ate a couple of bites. I thought that maybe she was being picky, but when my wife finally got her food, she found it inedible. So we basically left the restaurant with two and a half meals still on the table (and I alway take food home.) To add insult to injury, they tried overcharging my wife for a glass of wine when she had a root beer. So this restaurant went from being my choice for a birthday meal (based on my experience with it from over a year ago) to being somewhere I would never eat again. Be warned. read more

We ordered several meat centered dishes which were overwhelmingly vegetables. The sweet and sour chicken had almost no chicken I'd say 15% at most was chicken. The rest was cheap veggies like carrots and onions. The beef and broccoli had a lot more meat, but at least half of it was fat that should have been trimmed. Pretty much everything we ordered was at least half carrots and onions, though you would never know thats what you were getting. Its like they just toss a bit of meat and sauce on a bed of the exact same thing no matter what you order. On top of that its on the expensive side and the flavor isn't even that good. I don't usually yelp but this place was so unsatisfactory and for the money I felt obligated to warn anyone else new to the area. read more
