So much so that I did a little digging - met the owners - and figured out for myself that their secret is roasting the beans in very small batches. The "organic and fair trade" thing - meh. I don't know if there's a difference here or not. But I do know that their coffee is extremely good, consistent and smooth. When it comes to coffee bought at a grocery store, Starbucks has one profile, Seattle's Best has another...and in a third point, Cherrybean is another - the varieties I've had are low-acid but full bodied - kind of like a Cabernet wine that's got huge first and mid notes but finishes quickly.
