I went there as I was suffering from sciatica (herniated lumbar disc) and could not reach my feet, hence I needed some slip-on sandals for work, without heels.
The staff were plain rude and ignored me and I had to insist to get some service. Then they seemed to find my walking with a cane and struggling to sit down funny! They also put the boxes of sandals on the floor where I could not reach them (even from a seated position) and would not pick them up to help me. I did buy 2 pairs as I was in acute pain and could not face a 'trip' of 20 meters to another shop, and needed some kind of footwear for work, but I hardly ever wore the pairs as I later found much better ones from my local Brantano in Trowbridge. The sales lady there had worked in a care home, understood I could not touch my feet, and even helped me with the sandals! I can't understand how Scholl can hire staff with such a poor attitude to people in physical pain to man their stores: their speciality is supposed to be foot and back and knee problems, not joggers! read more
