From the moment I walked in the door they couldn't have done more for me. They fixed the wheelchair (that I'd bought from the other company) on the spot, and when I asked "how much" they just asked me to put a donation in the charity box. They've never once tried to talk me into buying anything. Instead they just point out the 'pro's and con's' of what I've been interested in. Whenever I've gone in with a problem with my walking frame they've sorted it out on the spot. When I asked them to come and demonstrate some of their equipment at the stroke club I attend, they happily did, and they didn't do the hard sales talk there either.....and then, today, when my platform lift broke down, I called them to see if they could help, they couldn't, but they knew "a man that can" 5 star doesn't cover it. I can't recommend them highly enough

I have been a regular customer over the years but recently moved to WSM. I have over the past 6 months tried to find a salon near to me that offers the same high level of customer service, professionalism and high standards of treatments that Victoria's salon offers. As a treat I booked myself in for over 3 hours of worth of treatments and pampering. I have had a wonderful day and look forward to see you all next month (as I am coming back....!) nothing in WSM even comes close to your services. Thank you

I suffered from a knee injury related to marathon training and despite my reluctance to have to pay for physiotherapy I really had to bite the bullet and pay a visit to James. For sports related injury I think it's really worth going to someone based in a gym, they know about running so can advise from both sides. After a initial assessment he found the problem and I have had a few follow up treatment sessions - they are expensive (£40 for the assessment and £35 thereafter) but he seems very good at what he's doing and it's the sort of thing - if you need it then you need it. I would highly recommend.

The space isn't huge, so there's only one of each Cardiovascular trainers, and as such is more geared towards circuits and weight training than the treadmill machines. Having said that, it never gets busy, so the times I've been I've never not been able to get on the equipment I needed. There's a real sense of personal service though, which is its main selling feature. For £35 a month, they'll give you a 15 minute assessment, and give you a programme designed to help you towards whatever goal you're trying to reach. There's always a personal trainer around, and they really care to take the time to have a chat and make sure everything is going well each time you come in. They also offer martial arts and yoga, so it's a well rounded gym off the beaten track - well worth the effort.

Although I've yet to experience major foot problems, my neighbour frequented the Foot Health Centre for a foot problem I probably shouldn't broadcast to the world. They've recovered from that though and are back in business. This is somewhere for sensible shoes. I got trooped up here regularly in my youth as I outgrew my school shoes or put holes in them. I wasn't the sort of kid that likes buying shoes (actually, do any?) but the staff managed to get me to sit down, trot around in various pairs, and say which ones I liked, so hats off to them. Actually having people to help fit your shoes is so important, I reckon. It's all too easy to get some with a slight rub, which then turns out to give you blisters for the next four months. They've got a huge stock (they're especially good for half sizes), making them good if you need something very specific. The shoe repair service they do is cheap and quick. Furthermore, they seem to sell fairly sturdy stuff - nothing that'll fall apart within two weeks of your taking it home. They're a great place to get comfy work shoes that'll last you for a while.

Shoes are at the front of the shop and are split into women and mens' shoes. I can't say much about the section for men but the womens' section was really well labelled. They also had a section with bags and accessories where again everything was well labelled. I found the staff to be polite for the most part but at one point they were too busy chatting to notice that I was waiting for one of them to serve me. I had to take one pair of shoes back for a refund because they were faulty and the staff were both polite and helpful and able to offer me advice about what shoes might be a good replacement.
