History
Established in 2003.
After 20 years of running a successful construction business, Bob Sansom founded Access Able in 2003.
Prompted by the sad loss of his father who experienced mobility problems in later years, Bob's building work increasingly focused on the disability sector - making life-changing adaptations to people's homes. Seeing the impact that alterations to bathrooms, kitchens and the fitting of mobility ramps and handrails had on the quality of customers' lives, was a massive influence on Bob's decision to establish Access Able.
Now, with an extensive range of mobility and home care products to assist the elderly, disabled and infirm, Access Able continues to grow.
Access Able is very much a family run business. Bob's Mum worked in the shop before she sadly passed away in 2010. Her legacy has been passed on to Bob's daughters; his eldest Angela keeps a tight rein on the finances, middle daughter Hayley runs their website & eBay shop, while youngest Lisa looks after the marketing & advertising.
Meet the Business Owner: Bob S.
After 20 years of running a successful construction business, Bob Sansom founded Access Able in 2003. It was a natural progression.
Prompted by the sad loss of his father who experienced mobility problems in his later years, Bob's building work increasingly focused on the disability sector - making life-changing adaptations to people's homes.
He says:
'Whether through disability, illness or advancing years - Access Able is committed to helping people retain their independence. I've seen what alterations and adaptations such as stair lifts, riser chairs and other living aids have done for my family in the past and for the countless number of families we have helped since 2003'
