The experience I had today really lived up to my expectations! My wax was with Molly (after I booked online without specifying anyone), who I found to be kind, professional, and engaging. It really felt like I was hanging out with a friend during my brazilian wax. Molly did an excellent job of putting me at ease and managing my pain expectations, having me inhale and exhale during the more painful portions. I'd never experienced the hard wax she uses before, and found it less painful than the traditional soft wax. The pain fades more quickly and has less of a sting as well. I made sure to book my next appointment when I checked out. Molly and I discussed waxing timelines based on my skin sensitivity level and hair type and she clearly wanted what was best and most effective for me. I highly recommend Molly's Wax Shop and Molly specifically, but from the other reviews it sounds like Arianna is just as talented! Either way you really can't go wrong.

The room she does her waxing in is spacious but not intimidating. It was very clean and well organized which I loved. Since I was leaving for an overseas trip two days later, I figured my options were fairly limited and kept my appointment. The specialist was friendly and checked in with me often to ensure I was doing ok. At checkout, the girls at the desk persuaded me to purchase a 'buy three, get one free' package. Once I got home and took a look below, I found that the entire inner part had been missed. Now, if I want to attempt to achieve myself what I paid to have done for me, I'm forced to spend precious pre-trip time doing so. Shame on me I guess for not checking this when the specialist said I was done, but when you confirm you are taking everything, I expect that you actually. Take. Everything. I always leave IMMEDIATELY looking glowly, less inflamed, and she is so gentle and intentional with extractions. She only gets what's ready, and leaves the rest to heal by themselves. Kathleen herself is so incredibly warm, kind, and loving. You can truly tell she loves what she does. It took me almost 6 months to get in with her, but I completely understand because if I wasn't moving, I'd never stop coming in. It was very thorough and Kathleen was professional and very kind throughout the whole experience. The facial itself was extremely relaxing. She does a microcurrent facial and I believe it lasted about 1.5 hours. Afterwards, my skin was calm and glowing! I was interested in cleansers and a new moisturizer, she sent me home with samples to try and I never felt pressured to purchase any products. I have been burned before at a bug box waxer, and being a brown skinned beauty my skin is a bit more sensitive to burns and does not always heal nicely. Christine made my experience pleasant and relaxing. She took her time, there was no rush and no burns!
