i'd first like to start my review with how pleased i was with the service very friendly waitress made our experience comfortable. The inside was chilly so we sat outside, next to a very busy road so it's loud. The food was pricey but we figured we would get nice portions my partner ordered a shrimp basket and i an oyster po boy. the portions for either were pretty disappointing. barely any shrimp in his basket. i tried his shrimp and didn't want a second bite at all. my fries were good at least. po boy wasn't anything i was excited abt. probably won't be returning, we were sad to have wasted our once a week eating out excursion on shrimp basket. read more

Been driving by this place for a while, decided I'd stop in and grab some takeout. Got the combo (shrimp and whitefish). Yeah, got home and thought to myself..."self, this is a children's meal...like a small child at that!" 4 small shrimp, a small piece of fish (bout the size of an average chicken strip) the corn fritter was about the size of a tater tot, and two hush puppies. We decided to try eat here while visiting Navarre on vacation. The restaurant does have limited seating due to COVID protocols. The wait time was not super long for our large group and it gave us a chance to look over the menu. The food was delicious and fresh! I'd highly recommend the cheesy grits. Shrimp basket had the best between Navarre and Destin restaurants tried. One disappointment was the all you can eat special. The popcorn shrimp in the first serving was minimal and the next serving requested arrived after everyone had already finished eating and were ready to go. Wow, if you're looking for fast and delicious fried seafood, stop here. We so enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. All of the servers were friendly and accommodating. They even went out of their way to find items for the one non-seafood eater in our group to have a good meal, too. Very prompt and attentive. The food arrived quickly and hot out of the fryers. Every dish was accompanied by corn fritters and hush puppies. I had to indulge in all you can eat popcorn shrimp, and the shrimp just kept coming. Also enjoyed the desserts. This place looks pretty unsuspecting but I'm really glad we pulled in and checked it out. They have a decent sized private parking lot, a large covered porch/eating area as well as some indoor seating. My kids and I opted to eat outside even tho it was a bit of a windy day. Our waitress was Deanna and she was very helpful with the menu. My kids ended up with the fried white fish and fries and I went with the seafood basket. I was feeling tropical so I decided to get the hurricane basket cocktail and it was probably the best part of my meal. It was a nice blend of tropical juices with rum. Delicious! It didn't take long at all to get our food. The kids really enjoyed their fish and fries but they are pretty easy to please. My basket was ok. The shrimp were ginormous and had a nice light breading on them. The oysters were very small but did have good flavor. The crab cake tasted a little underdone to my liking and didn't really have any crab that I could see. The fries were amazing g. Very crispy and seasoned well with salt and pepper. The hush puppies were ok as were the corn nuggets. The shrimp coleslaw was a little different but I enjoyed it. They do have a signature hot sauce here and it was very good. It is a perfect blend of a Tabasco, sriracha and maybe a Thai chili sauce? Really good. I doused everything in it! Overall a great experience here. Decent food, good cocktails and amazing hot sauce! You know... people diss this place. Whenever I had their take out or have eaten in, I haven't had any complaints. Their crab cakes aren't like Maryland's but few are. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed them. They are just different. I like their Alfredo dish with sausage etc. the folks were pleasant as well. Service was good. Party of two, we were greeted and seated as soon as we arrived. Brie was our server who quickly came to our table to take our drink order and suggested appetizers. We chose a dozen oysters on the half shell. They were delicious, shucked perfectly, no grit, no shell fragments. Kudus to the chef who shucked these. For our entree we chose the Crab burger in paradise and grilled shrimp platter. Both were served hot and were delicious. Don't judge the book by its cover. Remember you're experiencing Old Florida. This place had some decent size Louisiana oysters with good flavor cheaper than those that are a quarter size from other restaurants. Still expensive but they were good. Could be better. The stuffed flounder was really gross though. It's fried and stuffed so as I go in to take a bite it felt gooey and a bit cold still. I wasn't excited to eat it so I left it. On the bright side your Starters are lots more enjoyable I really enjoyed the shrimp queso dip with the fried flour tortilla chips made from scratch, that I did enjoy! We brought a party of 17 and the staff did a great job seating us and waiting on us. We did have to wait a little while to get our food, but the food was delicious - hot and fresh. The lost star- A bit chaotic and unorganized when trying to get seated. Waited at the bar, no straws or bev naps for our drinks. They were out. The good/The food- Everyone was super friendly and personable. Could tell they were in the weeds but their attitude and expressions never showed it. We waited a good 30-45 minutes for our meals, but we're patient knowing they sat a 10 top right before us and the kitchen would be slammed with that order. Food- Got the stuffed flounder and absolutely loved it. Ettoufee was pretty tasty, the gumbo not so much. I'd definitely go back when in the area. Loved the big outdoor seating option. read more

If you want greasy, give it a gander! They have nightly specials which is appreciated, but Monday's with fried baskets is the best deal in my opinion. I'm not their biggest fan, but our waiter sure was friendly... so I'd say it's an average place to eat seafood! read more

I've been to the shrimp basket in other locations and, while never high end, was still a good meal. Unfortunately this location was not. We were seated fairly quickly, but then waited a very long time before a waitress realized, checked with the waitress who was supposed to be covering us and then just ended up taking our table. We ordered our full meal, but asked if we could get our gumbo/red beans and rice first. Our waitress explained she would try, but they were having problems in the kitchen. She brought us our drinks (had to come back later because someone had to go out and buy more ice). And then began the wait for our food. And then they were out of key lime pie. And then my husband cut his lip on the bread crust (??how does that even happen??). Our waitress was very sweet and tried hard, but all in all, not a great experience at all. read more

This used to be my "go to" sea food eatery! decent customer service with an good menu that will satisfy your cravings. I'm updating my review and rating: the interior is not clean. The server cleaned the table just prior to us being seated. As we sit down I notice a cherry stem on the window sill. The windows are filthy. The place had two other customers and therefore were not busy. Our appetizer (corn fritters) took 30 min to come out...only after we asked where it was! There were not hot or even warm, they were room temperature. The popcorn shrimp were piled high and were delicious. Let's just get to the point. The service is seriously slow even with the restaurant not being packed. The server was nice however EVERYTHING took forever.
