How I Joined I joined a 6 week challenge in January of 2021. This gym was highly recommended by one of my close friends. The challenge The challenge helped me drop 20 pounds, while it was really rewarding. The biggest win was finding a gym that helped me stay consistent and improve over time. It came with an easy and satisfying meal plan. I finally learned the formula to drop weight which starts with a good diet. This gym compared to traditional gyms Before the pandemic I attended in shape with a personal trainer and went to Zumba classes 5 days a week. I loved my personal trainer but was only spending 30 minutes a week with the one on one training. I also was not making progress on weight loss. This gym was over whelming at first but I quickly felt encouraged by other gym members and the coaches. This gym is also half the price that I was paying at in shape with a personal trainer. Each class is taught by a coach who helps correct form and demonstrate the moves of they are unfamiliar. If you continue to attend you build a great rapport that will help move you to the next level. The workout programs are strategically created and are continuously changing to target different areas. We can always rely on a good work out. One last thing is that my consistent workouts at this gym promotes good mental health. My friend convinced me to try this gym out at the Suisun location 5 years ago! I was hesitant because I was at a CrossFit gym and didn't think I would be challenged. I know the owners of this gym & have been under their coaching staff for a little over 5 years now! The certainly keep you motivated & help with your form as well! Do they really practice what they preach? They sure do! For the most part all of the coaches that I have had are great role models! They believe in what they do & have a passion for helping others achieve their goals. Is the cost high or worth it. It is a little pricey but it is so worth it! Have you ever heard the expression you pay for what you get! You get trained Coaches & clean, well maintained gym! If the owners are not present during class time they are just a phone call away or text message one of them. I bet I know what you are thinking! I can't do certain exercises because of this health issue or that old injury or because my body is getting old.....Stop right there! I want to tell you that's one of the best things about this facility. They will get to know you & you should learn over time to trust them. They can only truly help you if you help yourself & tell them your health condition's! When I started I could not do one complete jumping jack or stand up on a bike to ride it! WHAT? Doesn't that sound insane but that was me at 53 yrs old! Heart Patient who lost all the strength I had in my legs, that's what OHS will do to you folks. However, I never had upper body strength until after I slowly day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year I finally was stronger physically then I ever was! They work with me on different methods if I'm unable to do exactly what the rest of the class is doing! I recall two different individuals in class told me showing up is half the battle! I have returned several times after trying to manage my own weight and exercise regiment on my own without success. The coaches won't hesitate to reach out and send encouragement and look for you if you've missed class, the energy is incredible and there is always something new to try. if you were interested in trying to challenge you were given comprehensive meal plans that include grocery lists with simple and delicious recipes that don't take a lot of time in the kitchen. They can adjust to meet dietary needs however, I have found that just by following the meal plans I have achieved blood sugar control without needing adjustments.
