The equipment is in top shape, the selection of work out machines end ephemera is vast, and the place is immaculate. Imagine a gym that smells clean all the time! I really look forward to my time there with a trainer. I've been working out with Abby and Chris. Both are outstanding. I always feel encouraged, challenged and understood. Anytime Fitness is one of the places you always feel better, fresher and newer upon leaving, and that's because you busted a sweat and had a good time doing it. For a small town gym it has what you need but the rules and etiquette around here are so bad. I have seen a man blow snot rockets on the gym floor! I see people exercising in sandals with their nasty feet out, and others that come in just to sit on a machine and scroll on their phone. Also the television and music that they put on are so annoying! The place feels gross and musty. A few fans might help circulate some air. Last time I checked this is a gym and the managers and owners need to enforce it as such. My husband and I prefer going to the Dixon location as it's much nicer and worth the drive.

Nice facility and staff, but this business is not ADA friendly…read more The final straw was trying to help my disabled wife climb UP a set of concrete stairs (!) to get into the jacuzzi tub. Come on! Any hotel knows that you shouldn't require guests to stair-climb to enter the hot tub. The designers of the Active Wellness Center were too cheap to build a fully in-ground jacuzzi pool. Also... the only way a disabled person could get through the heavy glass doors surrounding the pool and dressing rooms is to have a strong caregiver present. And even then, the wheelchair will smash against the glass doors, which won't stay open for you. And get this! When I cancelled our memberships, they provided only the tiniest box to explain why we were cancelling. I typed "Not Enough Space Here." I fully expected them to email me asking for details. Nope. They never wrote.

Military members TDY's, trainings or deployments do not get waived at all. I had a month and a half TDY and had to pay my whole time while I was gone but business is business I guess. Early month cancellations do not get reimbursed. There are no military, first responder, or medical workers discounts and Vacaville is made up of many good citizens who work in those fields. I personally never liked feeling a walking $ sign. Always wishing the best in everyone's journey's, I definitely will miss the friends made there.
