I've been training with Brittany for just under a year & have absolutely LOVED every minute of it…read more Brittany is not only very knowledgeable, but so personable and makes every workout fun. I have lost over 6% body fat, have learned so much about how my body reacts to different workouts and diet options, as well as how to have grace with myself while also being able to enjoy my meals. Brittany has taught me so much about macros and how to live a healthy lifestyle while also enjoying it. Highly recommend giving Brittany a call

A trainer with conviction, drive, and passion!…read more Miss Britt is amazing. She creates a positive environment with her energy and love for what she does so that her clients can feel confident in being able to achieve their fitness goals. You can always tell when someone is in it for the right reasons and Brittany is committed to her work and most importantly to the clients she helps because she likes and wants to see them succeed. I've appreciated her ability to meet me where I'm at, pushing me just slightly but not over my threshold where I may get hurt and or dislike the workout. Overall my biggest challenge is trying to stay positive through the workouts but she really radiates a healthy, strong positive energy that is contagious and enough for me to get through that workout beating

For a small town gym it has what you need but the rules and etiquette around here are so bad. I have seen a man blow snot rockets on the gym floor! I see people exercising in sandals with their nasty feet out, and others that come in just to sit on a machine and scroll on their phone. Also the television and music that they put on are so annoying! The place feels gross and musty. A few fans might help circulate some air. Last time I checked this is a gym and the managers and owners need to enforce it as such. My husband and I prefer going to the Dixon location as it's much nicer and worth the drive.

Nice facility and staff, but this business is not ADA friendly…read more The final straw was trying to help my disabled wife climb UP a set of concrete stairs (!) to get into the jacuzzi tub. Come on! Any hotel knows that you shouldn't require guests to stair-climb to enter the hot tub. The designers of the Active Wellness Center were too cheap to build a fully in-ground jacuzzi pool. Also... the only way a disabled person could get through the heavy glass doors surrounding the pool and dressing rooms is to have a strong caregiver present. And even then, the wheelchair will smash against the glass doors, which won't stay open for you. And get this! When I cancelled our memberships, they provided only the tiniest box to explain why we were cancelling. I typed "Not Enough Space Here." I fully expected them to email me asking for details. Nope. They never wrote.

Early month cancellations do not get reimbursed. There are no military, first responder, or medical workers discounts and Vacaville is made up of many good citizens who work in those fields. One of the other things I noticed here was how diverse the community was! Come one come all! Having been in the CrossFit scene since '09, I've seen a fair share of gyms. This one definitely stands out as doing things right and knowing how to help the community. If I lived locally, I would buy memberships for my parents because I can tell they would be taken care of. This is the type of gym where the new beginner getting to the gym just for health and longevity can train and be taken care of by experienced coaches, while the competitive athlete is able to train at the same time!
