Although we had a great experience when we went for the special on Wednesday, my visit on Friday has made me never want to go again. We were given a lane where the pins would not reset after each turn, making it unplayable and wasting our time that we paid for. When we brought this to the staff's attention, they told us they do not issue refunds and offered to switch us to another lane. By that point, we were so fed up with the process that we just wanted to go home. The new lane worked fine, but if only they had started us at that lane to begin with. I don't understand why they have non-working lanes open that people are paying for. This experience has really soured my opinion of Showtime Bowl. I hope they fix these issues so other customers don't have the same frustrating experience. read more

Arcade was quaint but a lot of fun. Vince was the man and hooked us up with our choice of stuffed animals.

No stars if I could. We came here to relax and have a beer and some side foods but they had no ultra beers then no nachos then the jalapeño poppers had sour cream in them instead of cheddar. Will never come here again. Recommend going somewhere else. They don't even have just the regular debit card reader you have to have a tap read. Will never come back. read more

The woman at the counter clearly can't qualify for anything but a bowling alley job because she angrily approached our lane saying she was going to shut it off just because I wasn't wearing bowling shoes lmao, get over yourself! Only come here if you're an experienced bowler. They will refuse to put up the bumper for you unless you're under the age of 12 and over the age of 65. Someone in my party has poor motor skills and had never bowled before. They bowled several single digit games and the staff still refused to put up the bumpers. The member of my party was bowling much slower than the 9 year old next to us that was using their bumpers. Ridiculous rules and I will never be returning. read more

It takes a lot for me to post a negative review, but here goes. The bowling is what you probably expect. Dated but adequate. Not bad at all. The automated bumpers for kids were actually pretty cool. My complaint is solely with the snack bar. It seems to open whenever they feel like it. The menu consists of chicken fingers, burgers, and fries. Nothing out of the ordinary. What was exceptional was the length of time it took for them to take our order and get our food. We went to order, and the lady said that she was too busy to take our order and that we should come back later. We were hungry, so we did, but the situation only improved when another employee came and took our order. We then waited approximately 30 minutes to actually get our food (5 of us bowled over half a game before it was ready). The food itself wasn't bad, but it took entirely too long. The place wasn't even that busy when we ordered. Bottom line: don't plan on eating here. There are far better places around the area to get a decent meal before knocking down some pins. If they are going to prohibit outside food and drinks, then they should get their snack bar in order. read more

It's a large bowling alley that's well equipped for tournaments. The rate that the machines go to replace and rearrange pins is faster than what I've seen at other bowling alleys so the wait time for your turn is really short. Like most bowling alleys, it doesn't feel very clean so bring hand sanitizer with you. The food that they serve looked about as nasty as the place felt. I would eat beforehand or after. There is also an arcade in the back with skee ball! This section is great for the kids who don't care to bowl or need to be distracted. read more

What can I say except, one of the few bowling alleys in Athens. Actually I think it might be one of two in Athens. Pretty average lanes that are a little beat up, but still fairly well kept. The bowling balls are also pretty beat up and it's a little hard to find the right weight. Gotta say that the place gets the job done though, as long as you're looking for a place to bowl a few games and have some fun. read more

Terribly rude staff! (Delucas and Melanie) refused to offer coupon in the paper that says "vaild only SUNDAY ,Monday and tuesday" they tried to tell my husband because games are already discounted the coupon doesn't work untill after 2 pm. it states this NOWHERE on the coupon or even the ad. What a bunch of jerks they acted like they could care less even saying "whatever we just work here" well you two do a crap job thats for sure! Went tonight with our daughter who was six, played ONE game and was charged $26.00 - for two adults and a child. Game took 20 minutes to play. If this is not the biggest ripoff in town I don't know what is. Also they refused to honor our but one game get one free coupon because they said we had to play two games per person. $26.00 and they wouldn't even give us $4 off?? 3 lanes were being used- THREE! The other 29 said RESERVED and were not used for the entirety of our one hour visit. I hate to leave a bad review because all in all, we thoroughly enjoy coming to Showtime Bowl. It's super clean, has a very nice arcade area, and is overall a great time. However, my sons birthday is today and he decided he'd enjoy going bowling. I called this morning to make a reservation for this afternoon and was told they weren't taking any more reservations but that we could take our chances and show up. We did, and decided to play in the arcade while waiting to see if a lane opened up. We asked the attendant several times and they said all were reserved. We didn't even care if we didn't get the full hour and a half. I understand with COVID that nothing is normal, but this was just ridiculous and highly disappointing. A very big turnoff for business and sadly- the business is most likely losing a lot of money by missing out on customers. read more

Dishonest management. My 6yr old put $5 on a game room card and the machines would not start up on some of the swipes so she would swipe it again( I was with her and saw it). We realized that it was charging her for the ones that did not let her play and spoke to management. Even after showing them on the history that a charge was made but no tickets earned (which is impossible on at least one of them because the lowest you could spin was 3 tickets) they acted as if I was the one trying to scam them!!! Okay..., where to begin? As bowling alleys go, this is a clean, recently-renovated, modern facility. The prices seem pretty high, so taking a family of four bowling for just a couple of games can get expensive. The biggest issue is the staffing. I know working in a bowling alley isn't the pinacle of a career, but they should at least try. The main desk staff come and go, so getting any help at all can involve a wait. Even worse, the staff enforce totally arbitrary "policies" that make no sense. We have a child who was struggling with an 8# ball. The staff would not give her a 6# ball because she is "too old." What has chronological age got to do with anything?? The issue should be the child's abilities and whether her fingers fit the holes! The staff would not let her even try it. Just "nope, too old." Children come in all sizes and abilities; to enforce a hard age limit is unreasonable and not at all family friendly. We did not try the snack bar; we have some standards. Bottom line: nice facility, high prices, unhelpful staff. read more

Prices are ridiculously high, lanes are tilted, they refuse to raise bumpers unless you are under the age of 11, and the bowling balls all have tiny finger holes... The customer service is pretty awful as well. They know that they're one of the two bowling alleys in Athens and therefore jack their prices up without ever improving quality. Only reason i didn't give it 1 star is because it's fairly close to UGA and is practically the only option for a college student. read more

The renovated bowling alley is awesome! We dropped in on a Friday night early with our boys ages 12 and 14. The plan was to eat at the new restaurant 11th Pin (run by the folks at The Pine) and bowl. It was glow in the dark bowling and was awesome! Food was good - burgers, hot dogs, etc. but a bit elevated (homemade cole slaw, pickles, etc.) - and great beer selection including local options. They serve wine also but never saw the wine options. Vast improvement!!! read more

this was a really refreshing change from the bowling alleys that i've been used to; modern facilities, super fast ball return, slick automatic bumper things for the kids, interesting screens and interactive things (like average mph!). better selection of local craft beers than some places downtown, found the staff both at the desk and the snack area to be friendly, responsive, andhad a great time here! read more

A pretty standard bowling alley. Last time I bowled here a bunch of kids obviously snuck in liquor and were totally obnoxious. They were pretty blatantly drinking. For a place that doesn't sell beer or booze, they don't seem to care much about who brings it in. I'd rather go to Kingpins, since it's usually pretty tame....and at least they monitor how much people have to drink and can cut them off when need be. read more
